We would 100% book here again. The location is stunning, with a beachfront view just an elevator ride and short walk over the sand dunes to the private beach. The private section is less crowded than the public beach and worth the extra cost. You can set up your own beach chairs or rent seating and umbrellas. Unit 1820 had convenient parking near the entrance and a beautiful view from the 18th floor. It comfortably fit 6 adults and 3 kids with three bedrooms and bathrooms, providing ample space for lounging, cooking, eating, and hanging out. However, an additional couch would be nice for a group of 9. Each family having their own bathroom made the stay stress-free, and plenty of towels were provided (but bring your own beach towels). The unit could use more kitchen utensils; we ended up buying a cutting board and knife due to dull knives and an old cutting board. We cooked at home daily, so more dishes, a colander, pots and pans, and a better knife set would improve the experience. The dishwasher struggled with soap pods, so we hand-washed dishes and used the dishwasher to sanitize. The beds were comfortable but sagged in the middle. The bathroom needed new shower curtain rings, which we replaced ourselves. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was a bonus. The entire campus is exceptionally clean, with staff maintaining common areas. The pool and grill area were great for winding down, although the hot tub wasn't working during our stay. The grills were clean and easy to use, with the propane grill directly connected to the campus supply. Always bring your own cleaning and cooking utensils for public grills. Overall, our stay at this location was fantastic. The beautiful beachfront, convenient amenities, and cleanliness made it a memorable and enjoyable experience for the whole family. Despite minor issues, the positives far outweighed them, and we would definitely return. We highly recommend this place for a relaxing and comfortable beach vacation!

I will be as professional as I can. This building is extremely old. Many blaconies have very big cracks when looking from the pool. This can not be safe and is in violation of code. There is no lobby and no bathrooms near by accept at the pool. The check in process was a nightmare. The door lock to Room 1630 is on its last straw. The hallway in the room is extremely dirty, I had to purchase slippers just to walk around the condo. The kitchen lacks most utensils, no napkins or rolling paper. Two rolls of toilet paper for 7 people....Each room was very dirty and the bedsheets were stained. I will attach photos of bedsheets in Room 1630. Most outlets do not work and the carpet in the living room is VERY dirty. Hot water does not exist so I had to take cold showers, seems like a common problem at this extremely old building. Two outlets out of the entire condo worked so my phone was constantly on 10% battery. Balcony is very small and filthy with a nasty carpet that gets soggy when it rains and starts to stink. The thing that shocked me the most is that at Jade East Towers was the fact that you could not have a canopy. This property wants you to purchase those old, disgusting, umbrellas that they sell. 45$ what a complete sham! It was 7 people in our group...Please future guests, make sure to read all of the reviews!

The location and it's rooms of this place Are great...beach here is amazing... but the amount of rules are kinda nuts in my opinion.. from The checking of the wristbands to giving meaningless tickets for parking not being able to set up chairs on certain parts of the beach or even get whistled at by "secruity" for hanging a towel on my balcony is overboard.. paid mutiple thousands of dollars to stay here for a week.. not to mention only 1 out of 4 elevators working with 18 floors and 100s of people going up and down..i understand maintenance and renovations.. But that wasn't enclosed to us when we were booking and them taking our payments seems like a project for the off season...with 2 small children it made it a lot harder.I'm just glad I wasn't on a higher floor... I see the potential of this place and it can be an amazing getaway, but when i'm on vacation last thing I need. There's a guy in a security shirt that looks like it was bought at the gift shop asking me about a wristband and informing me of rules asking if i read the "binder"... like a 10 page binder of what not to do..

Awful time staying here. Condo is in horrible shape, and property management is just as bad. Condo itself is in desperate need of a deep clean and update. All furniture is falling a part and very very dirty. There are signs of black mold in the bathrooms. All the curtains , cabinets, headboards in the bedrooms, and shelves through out the rooms in the condo are covered in dust. Elasticized fitted sheets on the bed were suspiciously put the bed Inside out, which kind of made us feel as if they weren't washed and just flipped around and put back on the mattress. We stayed the first 2 nights without work air condition, so it stay consistently 80 degrees in the whole condo throughout those 2 days, which was not pleasant at all due to how humid it is here at the beach. Our floors sticky and wet the whole time. All of our clothes stayed damp even when put back into out suitcases because it was so muggy. We are now our third night here. We have called the maintenance line to have them come fix our ac problem. We have waited 3 hours now after being told that we have been put on the "emergency" list for them to come up "soon" to correct the problem because we have gone days without working air in our condo. We gave it about an hour and a half. They still did not show. Which assuming that it was an "emergency" to them we figured it would be about an hour or so. We called to check on the status of when our maintenance person would be here and were told by the person I spoke to on the maintenance line that they did not have estimated time that they would be here to fix the problem. It is now 8pm, a little pass 3 hours since the time we first called to report the problem and they have not showed, so this seems like it will be the 3rd night, again. WITHOUT working air. The condo is continuing to become more muggy, damp and very smelly due to the moisture and the mold present in the bathroom and kitchen.. This has been a very, very uncomfortable stay. Really hated to have to spend the time to writing this review instead of enjoying the stay on our vacation but this experience has been VERY disappointing. The old furniture and cosmetic issue is definitely something that can be looked past. BUT the negligence of the upkeep of the unit itself that could be a health issue ESPECIALLY in the midst of a pandemic, AND the negligence of the property management that handles the maintenance call is extremely disappointing. This is room 520. I know other room may vary due to the different companies that rent out these units and I'm sure visitor they stay in other unit may have a very positive experience, but as for this unit and the management, rental company that runs it. We are very disappointed. I am truly not one to really ever leave a negative review and quite honestly ever leave a review at all, but this was...

I have been thinking on how I wanted to proceed on the review for Jade East. Let me start with how wonderful Kelli was in addressing our issues. She was top notch, she was a heard me loud and clear kind of property manager and addressed my issues very quickly. I cannot say enough good things about her. We liked Trey the guy running the chair situation on the beach but boy are those chair $$$. Our unit which was #820 was decorated nicely and had a wet bar which was a bonus. One of the shower heads had to be replaced as only a trickle of water was coming out of it AND the water in our unit was not hot. The dishwasher did not work and was also repaired. They did however repair everything within 3 hours while we were at the beach. The water in the pool hot tub was also not hot. We used it one day and then it was not worth it. That was really a shame. I am guessing because there were so many kids they turned the heat down. Bummer for the adults. My question why was the unit rented with so many problems? When the maintenance guy saw the trickle of water with one of the shower heads he was like yeah this is bad. We had rented unit #1720 in the beginning and had to change rooms. It is unrentable as it was full of old, overused furniture that a homeless shelter would not take. The sofa was beyond dirty and the rugs were just gray and gross. You could see under the sofa a hint of the pretty blue it was before. This was shocking to me. Mattresses were so old that well my 82 year old Mom would have been in serious pain the next day. The outdoor furniture was pretty rusted. The walls were covered in dark marks like really all over. Pillows had all of the stuffings coming out of them and a headboard had a big crack in it. Do not rent #1720 until it has been tended to. I do not know how owners can not upgrade their units and still command high dollar. Our views were stunning on the 8th floor, it was spacious and once the repairs were done we really enjoyed ourself. Highly recommend unit #820 and I did see #1020 and it looked very nice too. Kudos to Kelli for...

Jade East Towers places very little importance on building security or the security of the elevator system that affects the wellbeing on those traveling with children and supplies for a long stay, seniors, handicapped, or anyone with a health condition preventing them from climbing a stair tower.

All elevators were down for a portion of our stay (on various days). Major Issue! A condo owner noted teens pressing multiple buttons caused the elevators to stop. This means that Jade East elevators don’t have modern security controls, and that physical security is lacking. You’ll see cameras onsite, which are a retroactive tool. Keypads are installed at gates, but anyone can watch someone enter the number and guests often share the code. Wristbands are supposed to be worn, but nobody is checking. There’s a security person (not a team…just a guy). Note that Jade East is a +- 19 story tower on a large property.

There are phone numbers posted at the entry for management, HOA, operations, etc. but no one answers them. All calls go to v.mail. The elevator problem was so bad on 6/9/2024 that police and fire departments were called. I was personally stuck in the elevator on the 11th floor with two other guests. We luckily got out and then used the stair. The elevators were down again on 6/12/2024.

On 6/13/2024, the Main Parking Lot Gate wouldn’t open after the entire condo had a brief power loss (just Jade East).

After all this…and calling and emailing, nobody with Jade East management has returned a call. The security guy called, but with little info.

I started traveling to Destin in 1990 and have been back many, many years since. With confidence, I can say that most condo buildings have nice balcony views and the rooms and amenities are fairly similar. Same goes for Jade East. But over the past 30+ years, I’ve never experienced such a lack of care for public safety and the convenience & happiness of guests.

I highly recommend choosing...
