Does not accept 2 car parking. I knew this beforehand, however I had to go a mile away and try Geronimo Rv $30/day (ridiculous) which closed by the time we checked in on a Saturday. We had no where to park and was threatened to be towed all because of the HOA’s car policy. HOA needs to re-access their policies because it’s just not that serious of a problem. Plenty of places to park. The parking lot had about 25 spots open on a Saturday in July. It ruined the whole trip. Anxiety about having a work vehicle towed. We ended up parking at a nearby hotel in hopes it wouldn’t get towed. Getting to my happy place was absolutely ruined by this stupid rule that makes no sense. You should be able to have more than 1 vehicle on vacation. I was willing to pay. I can understand if it was full but it was not. Maybe they should get rid of tennis court that no one uses and get more parking. And I’m a tennis player. No one comes to the beach to play tennis. Let’s be real. Also, pics online are deceptive because it looks like a hot tub near pool but it’s a kiddie pool. Will never stay here again because of the car rule which set the tone for our vacation. Parking should be least of our worries at the beach. I talked to several employees including manager. They were very adamant about HOA rule and basically told me that there’s nothing they could do for me. Sorry, but you will have to have your car towed on vacation because HOA has a rule. A customer should be helped. We should have least been given a permit for first night considering we couldn’t park at suggested RV area. Put it this way, this resort should accommodate all customers considering how much money we are paying to rent a condo for the week. Parking shouldn’t be an issue. I shouldn’t have to pay $200 to park on vacation and worry about having my car towed because there’s no place open to park. Beach...
Read moreWe had a great experience! Our condo at Sandpiper Cove 2136 Oceanside, was very clean, had everything we needed, very cold AC, perfect ocean view from the condo, a quick walk to the beach 3 to 5 minutes, depending on which way you walked. The beach was beautiful, no seaweed, chairs assessable easily, for a fee. But note: Some condos do have 2 the chairs and umbrella included at no extra charge. Ours did not. The best food we had was on site at a restaurant that I continue to rave about Louisiana Lagniappe. The five swimming pools or across the street I first thought would be an issue, but it was very easy to access by walking or driving your car. We are looking to book again next year. I would recommend getting a bottom floor condo because you can conveniently walk out from your back door to the beach. The second floor condos do not have beach access without walking around. It really wasn’t a big deal, but my daughter had the first floor unit and it was convenient to walk off the beach to the back of the condo and put your sandy bags and towels on your back deck and not have to walk around the building and up the stairs from on the parking lot side. it’s a smaller complex on the beach side. I really enjoyed the fact that there were no elevators like in the high-rise condos. I...
Read moreUnit 304 at Destin on The Gulf was the perfect place for my husband, 16 year old daughter, and myself to stay for spend break! Third floor unit of a smaller, less busy complex that’s right on the beach. The condo had everything we needed (we just picked up a couple rolls of paper towel & keurig cups). Literally steps from a beautiful pool and a boardwalk to the beach. The young man helping set up the (FREE!) beach chairs/umbrellas was so kind! Punching in the code for the door & gate by the beach took a couple tries, but when I texted Holiday Isle Properties, they responded very quickly (be sure to include the pound sign)! The view of the beautiful white sand beaches & clear emerald green ocean was absolutely beautiful & we saw dolphins right where we swam every day! (A few jellyfish, but only one day). Caught the sunrise & sunset every day, too. Lots to do within a short car ride; grocery stores, souvenir shops, outlet shopping, high-end shopping, and restaurants. You can be as touristy or as laid back as you want! Being a short drive from the Destin-Fort Walton airport was also a plus. Would definitely go back and have already referred this unit to a friend. Was a welcome vacation from a long cold...
