Lone Wolf Pizza Co — Restaurant in Destin

We arrived around 6p this past Saturday and were promptly seated, family of 4, so nothing crazy. We realized that there appeared to be only one server, and as former service industry workers, we know to be patient when that is the case... but really after waiting 15 minutes just to give her our order, we should have left then. After about an hour, some of the food came out, along with what I guess was the kitchen manager; we've only seen our server one other time aside from getting orders and the restaurant is busy, but not slammed, and by now we realize there's more than one server, too. The kitchen manager proceeds to tell me that they made a mistake and are re-cooking my food, again, no big deal, stuff happens. Well, it takes another 20 minutes and when my food comes out, the server finally comes back (1hr 20 min in) and I ask about a to go pizza order that we gave her at the beginning... she couldn't remeber what it was, so she writes it down again and says she'll get it started but I go ahead and pay the bill. We wait another 30 min and she doesn't come back by the table at all, actually appears to be avoiding us, so I walk over to the kitchen to ask about our to go pizza. The kitchen manager says he'll check. Comes back to our table saying someone didn't move the ticker but it's been ready?! What in the world?! 2 hours for a not crazy busy night at a pizza restaurant is absurd, the fact that our server never came to check on us made it worse, and the fact that even though all of this happened and no one attempted to offer up a solution while we were there is far worse, just bad business. It was a shot in the dark while we were on vacation and the worst choice I made for...

The food is great...we ordered cheese pizza, a pepperoni pizza and buffalo wings. The pizza was soft, fluffy and so tasty. The wings were pretty basic. However, the service was lacking. We placed our order over the phone then arrived about 40 minutes later to pick up. It was not ready. I was a bit surprised because there were only 2 families dining there and 2 other pick up patrons. First off, I waited a good 10 minutes at the host stand just to be ignored. I then walked over to the bar area and waited some more. There was a very unfriendly waitress/cashier there who did not acknowledge me either. I asked a few other customers if that is where I needed to go for to-go orders, one mentioned he had been waiting for his pizza in line for over 20 minutes. I see the cashier again, sour faced still, and asked if I could go ahead and pay for my order even if it was not ready so that I could run over to get dessert in the meantime. She took my payment, no thank you, nothing, just walked off. I returned a good 30 minutes later, again the same waitress ignored me and acted like I was such a nuisance. I asked her if my order was available yet, she did not answer me, rather legitimately rolled her eyes and pointed at the pizza box. I mentioned we also had wings, her reply "I know"...just wow. At this point, I spoke to a manager, complained about her attitude and in the meantime, she was unapologetic, talking out loud against me. Her manager truly did nothing, just asked her to stop. Very rude and disrespectful.

One of the best restaurants I have visited on my vacation to Destin.

Atmosphere: this is a wonderful, calm environment to get some great food compared to most of the restaurants in the area. It has adequate spacing, along with great art around the location

Service: The service was absolutely phenomenal. Our server Blaze was top notch And honestly made our trip a little bit better. He gave us tips and pointers on what would be the best food for first time people, along with a pleasant conversation afterwards about the area. He stayed up to date with us. Checking in around every 5 to 7 minutes to make sure everything was okay. Absolutely one of the best servers we have had in all of our dining experience thus far in Destin.

Food: I will say that the food was absolutely amazing. We have ordered the garlic knots which were a great appetizer along with a pizza for the entree. The pizza was amazing with a thin-like crust under the pizza but a huge end crust which is perfect for dipping and they're great marinara sauce. We have also ordered a Cobb salad as an entree, And I must say that that was one of the biggest, fullest salads I've ever seen. All the food we had was top-notch, fresh tasting, and fulfilling throughout the night.

My conclusion: Out of the 7 to 10 restaurants we have eaten at during our vacation. I'm glad that we spent one of our last ones at Lone Wolf Pizza Co. I highly recommend their food, along with their great selection of alcohol (we didn't try any) to anyone who lives or will visit Destin and its...
