We went into Johnny janosik furniture and we ordered around $6,000 worth of furniture. The sales lady promised us that on September 10th we would have our beds, our dressers, are coffee table, end tables, nightstands, everything but the dresser for our daughter's room. We stressed the importance of these items being here and the lady laughingly playfully joked with us assuring us that are items would be here today..
So low in behold on moving day We are all settled in and waiting for our new furniture. We see the Johnny janosik truck pull up and with bated breath we watch them pull into our driveway. The delivery guys who are extremely helpful, polite and respectful in foremost that they only have one dresser a coffee table and a couch.
You can imagine our surprise in her shock when we have been promised this in order to get the sale. The amazing delivery man kindly informed us that we should call the customer service line. So after two attempts to actually reach anyone we get a customer service rep who informs us that all the pieces haven't even been ordered yet. wow they couldn't deal with it so they offered to send us to a sales manager, which in turn means they sent us to a sales manager voicemail.
during the unloading of the three out of 12 items that we received, The delivery man then informed me that our sectional did not have the legs for one of the pieces. I asked them to call their manager whose name is Kevin at the warehouse. Kevin is an idiot and tried to tell me that he was a warehouse manager and there was no one above him. after finally engaging in a battle of wits for which Kevin was clearly unarmed, Kevin informed me that his direct supervisor is a gentleman named Jamie Landis. Jamie is the logistics/distribution manager for all of Johnny janosik, So I attempted to contact him what low wound behold you cannot get a hold of him either.
So I asked Kevin well okay since you only delivered three of 12 pieces and one of them can't even be used when will you be bringing down the legs to the sectional. Kevin stuttered stammered and made every excuse in the book. as a customer who had been lied to and done it this service by the sales department I feel that the right customer service answer was to say I I'm getting a set of the legs right now from the warehouse and I'm putting someone in a truck to bring them down to you.
now I have reached out multiple times I still have no calls and I have no definitive time on when the legs for the sectional will actually be here so out of 12 pieces of furniture I have a coffee table and a dresser with no mirror.
I would not recommend Johnny janosik to my worst enemy. No one deserves to work with a company like this. all that we have in this world is our word and to give a customer your word and the word of the store when you know for a fact the items wouldn't be in is wrong I do not support that lack of integrity and business transactions and it says a lot about the company.everyone knows that furniture salesman are scummy people and can't be trusted but this is taking it to an entirely new level.
now we get to sit and wait and try to figure out when we'll finally receive the rest of our furniture
Update 1 Day 2 and we still don't have a delivery date. The salesperson Cathy called today with excuse after excuse. I guess I just don't understand why a salesperson would lie and try to backpedal when four of us were standing there. So day 2 and with us being a 'top priority' and no one knows when our stuff is coming in. I have to be honest, I own my own business and if I provided customer service like this my company would be bankrupt
Update 3
So in there attempts to make it right, being that they messed the delivery up , they expect us to wait until the 24th to fix their mistaken. They informed me that the only day that they come to our area is on Tuesday. Now we are supposed to wait 12 more days for our bedroom when they have a delivery truck coming to our area next Tuesday. One would think that quality service would dictate they make...
Read moreOn December 4, 2018, we purchased a full bedroom set, a leather couch and love seat for the living room and an accent chair. We received the bedroom set within 2 weeks and was told the living room set would take longer, and would be delivered the middle of January at the latest. We were fine with that, Upon purchase, we put down $3,300.00 and financed 10,000.00 total. The middle of January came and went, so we decided to call to check the status. I spoke with Elizabeth, which was our sales person, we were told that there was a problem with the trucking, and when I questioned her about that, because I am in construction and know a little bit about trucking and delays, she corrected her statement to say the ship was delayed and she had no further information and would check on the status and call me back. Once we didn't hear from her within a couple of weeks, I decided to call the store and speak to a manager. I spoke with Will this time, who used this opportunity to tell me about his delivery problems and told me that if I looked on the back of the invoice, delivery could actually take anywhere from 2 weeks to 16 weeks, and that I should know that because I should have signed and initialed that. I looked on the back of my invoice and it DOES state that, but I was never told that and I didn't sign or initial that. IF I was told it could take up to 16 weeks, I never would have gone through with the purchase. On February 12, and a promised call back from Will (which we never received), I called back again the next day and was told Will was out of the office until Sat, February 16. I called again and spoke with a sales associate ( I don't know the name) but told us that it could be the end of February or the first week of March, will no real information provided. I received a call from Steve (a manager) the same day because he was in a meeting and he advised me that he contacted someone and he told me that it would be in the manufacturer's warehouse within a week and he would call me back. 7 days later, my wife called and was told that it looks like the furniture is in and he would call us within a day or two with a delivery date. We didn't hear back so we called again and was told the furniture was in Lancaster, PA and he would call us back either today, February 25, or February 26, but wouldn't be able to provide us with an exact date. At this point, everyone at Johnny Janosik has shown us how little our business means to them and we are no closer to getting our furniture or being considered as a customer at all. Looking at Yelp now and their facebook page, I find it very difficult to believe that they have an A plus rating with the Better Business Bureau. The current date is March 1, 2019 and we still don't have a...
Read moreI am a first time buyer form Johnny Jonasik and after this experience, I don't think I will ever buy from them again. First, I ordered a dining table set and the chairs were not properly leveled, meaning they would constantly rock back and forth and so I had to have a serve technician come out and fix that. Second, I was supposed to receive a large sofa when my dining table set came, but that never happened and I had to wait for that, even though they said it would be delivered at the same time. Third, I had also ordered a very nice sectional during that time. However, when the sectional was delivered, the wrong pieces were ordered and delivered, meaning the sectional could not attach and it was all separate pieces. Customer service called and my husband explained the issue. They asked I send them an email with pictures and so I sent that as well. Then, I had to call customer service again a few days later to confirm that they received my email. A service technician soon came out and he just took a look and said that he had to order the parts. It has been two weeks since I received my sectional and I am still waiting for it to be fixed. Finally, the last piece to the furniture that I ordered came in. The problem with this delivery was that I had ordered a loveseat, however, I received a sofa instead. I do not find it acceptable that the incorrect item had been ordered again. It was not just with one piece of furniture, but multiple. A sofa is nice to have, but it does not fit in the area. There is a reason why I ordered a love seat and not a sofa. Now while I am still waiting for that issue to fix, I have another issue to deal regarding the mistake in an order placed by Johnny Jonasik, once again. I was supposed to just receive my furniture and then it would be done. However, due to the constant mistakes, I have to take time out of my work schedule so that these issue can be resolved and it is all due to poor service. It is just so much stress just to make sure things are correctly done, and like I said, I have to keep taking time out of my work so that I can have it fixed. There should not be this many issues when ordering furniture.
Let me add that it had not even been 24 hours since I purchased my furniture and I decided to change it and they immediately told me that I could not change it. After getting very angry with them, they then decided to go to the manager and manager said there should be no trouble in changing. It is quite irksome that I had to get very angry with them in order to get anything done, when it was a simple matter that could have been dealt with so easily...
