Buyer beware!!! I wanted a negative 5 stars but that doesn’t exist unfortunately. We have had a king size bed for 20 plus years and wanted to try to downsize to a queen size this was made very clear to the the sales person so we would be assured we could return it if it didn’t work out. We were specific that we were not sure how this would turn out. Well after 3 weeks we just cannot adjust to a queen. Called the salesperson he said the adjustable base was NOT returnable but the mattress was!! I was shellshocked! We specifically told him that we wanted to try the new size and could we return it he said we had 90 days and if we weren’t happy we could return all of it and get what we wanted. At no time did he ever say to us we couldn’t return that base. We would be happy of course to pay the difference of the mattress as it is more expensive certainly. During my call with this person he finally admitted that he was “pretty sure “ he said it wasn’t returnable well pretty sure is not 100% sure he was just trying to cover up his incredibly expensive error! I finally asked him for the corporate office phone number. After he gave me the number he started to laugh at me and I then just hung up. Well I left 3 voice messages with the District Manager Mark To and never got a call back. I left two voice messages with the Regional Manager Erik Ciarrocchi and again no call back. The so called Manager at the store called me out of the blue and I asked her why she was calling me as I didn’t want to speak to her I went above her head as I was getting nowhere with the store staff. She began to say I was rude and basically just called to upset me even more. I have never been treated so poorly and disrespectfully! During purchase of the mattress transaction I had some questions about the total bill she immediately turned in a dime and was very nasty and angry that I questioned her figures. Therefore no way did I want to speak to her. After spending thousands of dollars they have my money and the salesman completely lied to me about the returns. I am a professional with over 130 staff members I manage and I am a First Responder as well. I do not make poor business decisions nor do I foolishly spend my hard earned money. Seems strange you can return a mattress your body has touched but not a base that you don’t go anywhere near. I just wanted to get what I was told I could return all of it and pay the difference. Read moreWell, I’ve read before in reviews if there was a way to put no stars, that would be done. Be sure and take your time, and be sure that you have a sales person that is investing their time into you and your investment. Once you purchase and it is delivered you are done.
I have had so many problems from the very beginning after delivery, from mattress, to then base, so many different companies involved it is quite unbelievable. You have to deal with each company, who then deals with outside companies, and it is all placed on the customer. to contact each servicer. Matteress Warehouse/sleep happens… puts it right back in the customers hands, and then the real fun begins! I literally had my sales person Mark To, tell me that “I was expecting a higher customer service then they delivered!” (And that was simply waiting for a call to inform us about our headboard, not even in regards to the problems we were having) His excuse for not following up was “me as a consumer doesn’t want a follow up call if I don’t get a answer!) What??!!
I DO have to say that I received excellent customer service from Roben’, Nicki, and Alicha. Roben’ was on top of things immediately!
Actually got to the point where I called corporate headquarters, asked for a supervisor, so that I would not have to repeat the story over and over again, and actually got a voicemail for the “supervisor” in corporate!! Not to mention have still NOT gotten a return call from corporate. I am ready to contact Better Buisness Burea and repeat extreme unsatisfactory service.
Needless to say, this is an extremely frustrated and aggravated customer. Unless they can actually do something to rectify this situation, and then I will respond with a positive review, I am suggesting that as customers, be aware!...
