-I will start this review by saying that I would gladly stay here again, as it is a very affordable hotel to stay at and is very family friendly. The staff is extremely helpful, kind, and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was good and included eggs, sausage, cereal, and drinks such as orange juice, cranberry juice, and coffee. My family and I all enjoyed staying here. Our favorite parts of our stay here were the swimming pool, the vibe of the tiki bar and the staff. The staff were great. I want to be as honest as possible with my review here. Again, I would gladly book a room here again with my family.
-Ice Machine doesn’t work, you can get ice at the Tiki Bar by the pool when they are open which is between “2pm and 11pm” (vibe dependent, sometimes the bar will stay open later if there are enough customers still hanging around). The staff at the tiki bar will happily fill any of your coolers with ice whenever you request it. The staff at the tiki bar can also give you recommendations to local restaurants if you are unfamiliar with the area. If you want ice outside of those hours there’s a 7/11 and a Walmart within 1 mile away which is convenient.
-The key cards to your room will stop working if they make contact with your phone or any other card you may have in your wallet. Weird, I know. I had to go to the lobby to get new key cards at least twice a day because the key cards to my room would stop working. The staff at the lobby will happily give you new key cards to your room as needed.
-Clean towels are a hot commodity. If you’re lucky, you might find clean towels near the pool when the staff puts them out. I went to the lobby to get 5 clean towels on the second day of my stay but they were only able to give me 4 at that time. Not a huge deal. I made sure to hold on to the towels I had and let them air dry on the shower curtain rod.
-The electrical outlets in my room were not that great. They’re “loosey goosey” if you will. Some of the outlets didn’t work in my room. My phone charger would fall out of the majority of the outlets with any minor tug or pull. I had to find the tightest outlets in my room that worked and use those throughout my stay.
-The free WiFi at the hotel was not good. I could barely get an online video to play on my phone more than 10 seconds on the WiFi. The best place to use your own phone’s data would be outside near the swimming pool.
-The swimming pool is wonderful . The water feels amazing, and there’s also a kiddy pool that is 1 foot deep. The hot tub was not in service and looked as though it hasn’t been in service for a VERY long time. There was caution tape surrounding the hot tub and the water was drained except for any residual rain water. It’s almost as if the hotel totally gave up on having a hot tub at all. I would have loved to spend time in the hot tub, but I had a great time in the swimming pool with my family.
-The small tiki bar near the pool is nice, they serve drinks and also serve hot foods, but they are quite pricey. There’s several stools at the tiki bar and the staff is extremely nice. A 12 oz Blue Moon beer cost me 6 dollars. They have a speaker playing music which is mostly reggaeton which I enjoyed. Did I mention that the staff is extremely nice?
-The hotel policy (I read it on a sign) is that they will only provide room service on the 3rd day of your stay as long as you request it. Not a big deal for me as I prefer to not have my room disturbed and I...

I stayed here with a friend from October 18th until the 24th, my first day I got into my room everything seemed good until I turned on the tv. It was a smart tv and the remote I had wasn’t for it, I wanted to call the front desk but the phone didn’t have clear indication of what number to dial for the front desk, so I walked down and tried to explain that I was unable to work it, the girl told me it’s okay they’ll send someone. They never showed my friend and I went 4 days without tv and that was fine, even though I did approached them a couple of times about it. The next day I woke up around 4am went to the bathroom and noticed there were roaches crawling around. I took note of it so I can tell them later. I went out to one of the theme parks and forgot to notify the front desk before leaving. After coming back I remembered and decided to tell let the front desk know that there were roaches in my room earlier that day. The lady that was there around 12am was rude, she responded with “why didn’t you say something earlier we could’ve fumigated” I responded with we were on our way out and simply forgot and I just wanted to at least tell them about it. She then responded with “well, roaches are very common” like okay, I understand they are common. I understand they’re everywhere. But they do not have to be common in a place of business and there’s preventive measures you could’ve taken to ensure there’s no roaches. Once again, I got over it since it was only a 4 day stay.
I asked for my room to be cleaned Saturday night. Sunday, while I was at the pool I watched all the maintenance staff skip my room, I asked maintenance themselves they said yeah a lady is going to clean your room. Again, they kept skipping my room. I asked for towels they gave me the run around, to the point where I got so fed up that I took the towels in my room and threw them in the guest laundry and basically rinsed and dried the towels with my own money. Spent $5.75 washing their towels, when they had finally brought up my towels it was too late.
I didn’t come to this hotel expecting the best experience, I booked this hotel with the intention of having somewhere to sleep. I booked this hotel with basic expectations, they couldn’t even perform normal customer service. It wasn’t all bad. I did enjoy the pool environment, I like that they have a bar by the pool that is open from 11am-11pm and that they have a small night life. So my compliments go to the pool staff. They were great! Definitely feel like if there were management that actually cared about this hotel it could thrive, it’s located perfectly where you’re not spending more than 25 minutes to get to the parks. Theres a Walmart right down the street. My experience was disappointing, I wanted to really like this place but I just couldn’t get over the bad customer service.
Also, Everyone is talking about their breakfast. All I have to say is that it’s a chaotic mess just trying to get breakfast. The food itself was bleh.

Read moreSorry for late review: I waited because if I would have written it then I was going to not be so nice. My stay with this hotel was in Sept, 2023. I picked this hotel because of the price and location and the pictures looked beautiful. My family and I were going to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal. Well to start off the front desk decided to ignore me for check in because a huge group of Spanish people came in and she wanted to assist them first. Granted that I was on a walker and disabled she still wanted to check in those other people even though I was first in there. The girl at the desk thought I didn’t speak Spanish and she said white people have no patience. I told her in Spanish that she has no common courtesy because she assumed I was not Spanish and looked over the fact that I was disabled. I am a disabled veteran. When she finally was checking us in she said and u want a room on the first floor and pool view. I was like is that a problem? Because she said it with an attitude. Granted that my son decided to check the reviews and they were all negative I still told him let’s give them the benefit of the doubt. So we get our room keys and the room she gave us had a column blocking the view of the pool and the room had a very damp smell. We figured it was ok since we were only goin to sleep here. But the next day the smell got worse. We went to HHN and when we returned I decided the next day to go in the jacuzzi to relax my body and the jacuzzi was not even warm. I think the only great thing about our stay were the people that worked making drinks and food near the pool. They were so nice and treated everyone with respect. Breakfast was ok but very cluttered to sit and we weren’t allowed to take our food to the rooms. Didn’t no why or even bothered asking. So 2nd or 3rd day in I looked up at the ceiling in the bathroom and saw a huge mold spot and noticed that was the reason of the smell. So the day we were checking out I decided to complain about the service and the room. The lady up front was very pleasant and she said that she will have the manager reach out to me but no one ever reached out. It is now almost 2024 and I still haven’t gotten a call from the manager. I really don’t recommend staying here. Even if it’s cheap so not worth it unless u are goin to spend the whole time with the people that work near the pool. Mi Casa Hotel staff in the front seem a little racist if they assume you aren’t Spanish. Now the location was great because everything was near by but that was it. Next time I stay in that area I rather stay at a different hotel even if it may be a little...
