Arrived the very first day of our week long vacation. The pictures online are nothing like what this place is really like. We decided because we were going to have a busy week at the parks to just eat here and then go to the hotel. I caught Norovirus while dining in this restaurant and my husband got food poisoning. We did not eat the same thing but I took 1 bite of his dish and he took 1 bite of mine. When the food arrived I picked up the silverware and noticed it was dirty. Flagged down the waitress and she did apologize and brought clean silverware that had just been washed. About halfway through our meal I went to the restroom and it was absolutely disgusting. I came out told my husband the conditions and we immediately paid the bill, told the manager and left. We went to the hotel and got extremely sick in the middle of the night. I was so weak I couldn't even stand. Hotel staff called 911. I was hospolized for 5 days in Orlando which was the entire time of our vacation. I asked the doctor how could this have been so bad overnight and he explained to me that it's highly contagious and is more of a food born illness when employees don't properly sanitize the kitchen prep areas, wash their hands. And the most disgusting thing he said was i had likely contracted it within 12 hours of my admission. This was the only place we ate during about 18 hours besides of some snacks we brought in the car for the ride. But the doctor said many restaurant employees don't wear gloves and if the use the restroom and don't wash their hands then their bodily fluids will containment your food. He said he was willing to bet his medical license that this was the place that I contracted it. And with my husband having food poisoning was even stronger to the fact that this is where I contracted it. My husband immune system is very good but mine is good as well just not near as good as his. So if you want to have a good vacation without throwing up the entire week and being hospolized I highly suggest staying far away from this place. It was a little odd when we went in during peak dinner time and there was only 4 or 5 other tables with people. That should have been our first clue.
We lost 1500 for the hotel we had rented because I was unable to stay there and because my husband was so sick he stayed with me at the hospital. My diagnosis was confirmed via a stool sample. I couldn't eat at all for 3 days and when they wanted me to eat I was very very hesitant. I was vomiting so violently that I now have a sliding hital hernia and will need to have surgery. I never had been so sick in my entire life and I truly felt like I was dying. After being released we stayed the night at a hotel near the hospital and had to drive home early the next morning.
I will never so much as look at this restaurant again. It was the most horrible experience. Total cost we missed out on was close to $5,000 between the copay, ambulance, renting another room for the night before going home and all the expenses we paid upfront for the hotel we were staying in when we woke up that sick. It will never be recouped but if I can prevent someone else from going through this then that's why I am writing this review and I hope management and ownership really take a hard look at what their employees are NOT doing. Probably going to report them to the health...
Read moreUpdate 21st May 2025, following contact by Sarah as per response below, I visited the Pub for the Spurs man united final today.
While the game was on tv's, there was no sound / commentary available. I ordered boneless chicken wings, which were freezing cold when they were served. Turned my stomach to be honest. When the game was over the server approached and asked if we wanted the bill as the game was over.
I found this presumptuous. It just so happened that a large private business party was arriving as we were asked if we wanted our bill to leave.
This place is definitely not for football / sports fans.
Ps, been here loads of times previously. Place appears to have changed direction, more business client / conference orientated rather than holiday maker. It's fine to watch a football match, (as long as they haven't closed the place for a private business group), and as long as u don't mind watching the football without sound. And apparently if you don't 'love the pub you can Pi** off' - staff member wearing a t-shirt with this exact phrase on it.
Id seriously rethink visiting, plenty of other options within meters of The Pub.....
(Original experience on 19th May) Arrived at the door of the Pub to watch the Brighton v Liverpool game, 3pm on 19th May 2025. 2 staff members approached us and asked us why we were here. I told them to watch the football. They said the place was reserved for a private event. And we were asked nicely to leave.
Given that this place advertises itself as a place to watch premiership football live all season, this is bad form.
Poor engagement from the staff today and no notice outside to inform customers of the fact the premises was off limits for general public today.
Ps, we have been here multiple times before in previous years and there's never been any real problem. But it was a let down today.
I've attached a screen shot below of an advertisement from their...
Read moreAll I can say is the concept is great. The delivery, is not good.
Bar is disorganized, and it’s a bar so it should not be. Seems understaffed for an Orlando bar as well.
Bar was unaware of specials, food and drink. No exact prices can be provided pretty wild considering the menu isn’t huge.
I didn’t see a manager anywhere so apparently there are none. This would explain the dreadful service.
Asked for condiments 10 min ago and still haven’t received. Time is still counting so our food will be cold before it gets here.
Update: 24 minutes still no condiments. Bartender is by her self and the managers absolutely are ghosts. Not one, one single manager has been up here. Another bartender came in to help, thank god but still, where is the store management staff?!?
Holy …. If I ran a restaurant like this. I’ve been to Britain, I’ve been to pubs there… none of them treated us like this.
I am not sure how this place has remained in business w abysmal service like this.
Final update: EVY is amazing, ADAM is great, the new hire Adam had was awesome. The management? Needs some assistance.
It’s been well over an hour and I’m still yet to see a store manager come over to help..
I’ve asked for store managers and they’ve given me a young lady that is the bar manager that apparently is the best of the best. So I’m gonna try to reach out to her and see if I can share my grievances and also share them with whoever oversees this place. Because he or she needs to do some firing of the management staff.
I asked for the senior managements info and...
