Horrible. Awful. First and last experience at this hotel. Booked a room April 24-25th, 2025. The hotel policy is that they only let the bell hops control the luggage carts and I was informed that I wouldn't be able to load my things or bring them up to my room by myself. There is a $10 charge per box for "parcel service" for me to bring 3 boxes(12x12) up to my room on the cart. These are boxes that I needed to bring up from my vehicle for work-not items delivered to the hotel. Not giant boxes. File boxes. I've never heard of this policy before! I decided to leave the boxes in my car and walk down to bring them up individually after I checked in. (without the luggage cart to avoid the fee) Ridiculous. Self-park is $22 per day at this hotel and valet is $35 per day. I felt like I was being pressured to use the valet parking, but I insisted (twice) I would be parking the vehicle myself. I booked this room through a 3rd party website (Super.com) as "The Deluxe Apartment." I was checked into the hotel and went up to the room. It was a standard size double twin bed room. I didn't even put my bag down. I called the front desk from the room with the bell hop standing over me and told them that there must have been a mistake to which the front desk informed me that all of their rooms were the same size. She called this room the deluxe size. I told her I would be right down to the lobby to get this sorted out. I was informed that I could upgrade to a junior suite for $50 more or to a larger suite for $100 more. I thought the rooms were all the same size? I asked for the manager who informed me that super.com made a mistake with the booking because they don't have a room called the deluxe apartment. He also told me he could upgrade the room for the additional cost to which I told him I wouldn't be paying an additional fee for a room that was already paid for. Is the Deluxe apartment similar size to a suite? He had no solution other than me paying the extra money to upgrade. I already paid for this room! I wasn't paying anything extra. I told him I wouldn't be staying at the hotel since they couldn't get me the size room that I needed. I found out later that the person I spoke with was actually the director (not sure what this position is, but it is above the manager on duty). They refused to check me into the correct room and told me I would have to cancel the room through super.com because that is where I booked it through. He told me that this is the problem with 3rd party bookings because they get the room information wrong. I asked them if I needed to check out or cancel the reservation since they took my credit card for incidentals and they told me no. I loaded up my car and left. Super.com didn't want to cancel my reservation and refund me because the Rosen Plaza didn't check me out of the hotel! At this point, I was already checked into another hotel across town. I called the Rosen Plaza. (7pm) The night manager at the Rosen Plaza (Brett) said that he couldn't check me out of the hotel because "he didn't want to go over the directors head" to fix the issue. It seemed to me they were trying to keep me checked in so that I couldn't get a refund from Super.com. The manager on duty, Brett, told me he would leave a note for hotel night audit about my request. I told him that it wasn't acceptable that he was keeping me checked in so that it looked like I was staying there when I was actually staying in another hotel across town! He told me there was nothing that he could do except take note of my call and note my request to be checked out. From the valet to the bell hop, front desk, manager, and director-the whole experience was terrible. The staff is disrespectful and rude. Was my reservation not as good at your 4-star hotel because it was booked through a 3rd party? You're the ones that are set up to take reservations with Super.com. Respect and manners go a long way. I understand that reservations get messed up sometimes, but refusing to cancel/check me out so that you still get paid from Super...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell, weāre do I start. I decided to spend my 22 year anniversary here. Figured why not, the location is great. The hotel has a club that has a fine dining restaurant, Jacks!, how could you go wrong? Stayed October 5th, 2024 was like OK letās go to dinner at Jackās and then letās go hit the club and then go to bed in our room. Well, come to find out the club is only active if it has a booked out event, so the club was closed the night, I stayed in the hotel, then I made reservations at Eddy Vās and Seasons 52 on Sandlake Road. for additional options⦠Wife wanted to have a low-key relaxing night, so we decided to eat at Jackās restaurant inside Rosen Plaza. I spoke with what I thought was the manager and the receptionist and asked them what did they offer for anniversariesā¦.? they said complementary champagne and dessert and I said well is there an additional service I could pay for and they said oh well we can do both for you. I said that would be great. Anything else that I can pay for and basically looked at me and said no, so Literally 45 minutes later after making reservations a little after five for reservations at 6 PM we showed up, we were sat at our table, had our dinner. My wife got a few dirty martinis had to send one back because the drink tasted like it was cross contaminated with another fruity drink that was made in the mixer, and had the filet mignon. The filet mignon was basically cold kinda almost room temperature, but was cooked, Great, food wasnāt exceptional at all. My wife got the crabcakes and right after dinner ran up to the room and started vomiting and got food poisoning from them. To top it all off after dinner was completed and finished and I spent well over $200 there.. and never received complementary champagne, there was never a complementary dessert even though I offered to pay for the services to make my wife feel special. Nothing was ever mentioned so when I left, I spoke to the same two people I talked to about doing something for my wife before we sat down at the table for our anniversary. They explained to me that it was noted and they donāt understand what happened and they apologize and offered me a discount on food and offered me what they had originally offered me. I just said no thanks and kind of walked off. Ultimately it was the worst 22 year anniversary me and my wife have ever experienced. I donāt recommend staying at this hotel or eating at any of there restaurants for anything other than possibly business only and I would recommend that you search other options before you accept this option. I donāt recommend staying at this hotel or eating at any of there restaurants. I would recommend that you search other options before you accept this option! And to top it all off, my check out was 11 AM the next day and it was about 10:36 AM. Fortunately, me and my wife were just about out the door to leave, when, no knock at the door, just a swing open of the door from the housekeeperā¦.. glad my clothes were on and I wasnāt intimate with my wife. Little bit of a language barrier, but she just walked in didnāt knock, nothing of that Nature and I said oh excuse me.I said weāre just about to walk out, checkouts at 11. Literally unreal! Please donāt make my mistake. Ultimately, I think everybody kind of meant well, but it was just a major drop of the ball if you know...
