Unfortunately, let me start with, I booked at the wrong location. I was previously warned about this location. I arrived and asked to check out the room, prior to checking-in. I was not immediately happy about the room, but in order to change they told me that I could not change hotels without losing a night stay. Because I was there in the lobby and not on the phone - because that makes sense. He gave me a sheet that described in great detail that hotels are often mixed up. I asked them if they could transfer my stay to my desired location. I went upstairs to check the price at the other hotel, and it was half the price of my current stay. I checked the price at the hotel I was at, and it was aIso half the price, I inquired if they could match their own price for the weekend and I was told most definitely NOT. Their reason for the denial was that again it was because we had already checked in. I asked for the snacks that are normally offered at the other location, and I was denied that based on I needed to be Diamond and/or Platinum. The room was subpar with lots of age in the rooms - lipstick on a pig. The bathroom was old with no upgrades - everything was rusted, the toilet back was leaning and touching the wall and was like 10 inches off of the ground, water damage to most of the walls, and the tub had been reglazed and it was horrible peeling, stained, and flaking for I am guessing years and not months or days. Not including it was not the cleanest and/or prettiest bathroom. There was hair literally on the ceiling of the bathroom. I spoke to the front desk, the supervisor and the manager to no avail. The lobby felt like 100 degrees at check-in and in the bar area, most of the day all three days!! The elevators did not work Friday when we checked in. Only two of them worked and they had a big convention there that had the working elevators greatly delayed. And that convention... even though the people were very nice... They were loud until wee hours of the night after midnight. I will never recommend this location or return to it ever. There was a hotel representative visiting the tables during breakfast. She asked me for my telephone number, and I gave it to her for her to be able to pull up my account. Unlike the gentleman at the front desk who thought that I had never stayed at a Hilton, you could see it in his face when he pulled up my account that had no points. I did not realize that he pulled up that account until I got back up to my room, but you could tell he was not bulging. She pulled up my old account. I created a new account last week, because I have not been able to do a name change on my account without sending my govt identification. Instead, she added my points to my old account as I was talking to her about the issue with two accounts. She informs me that if I ate breakfast the next morning, I could get the points added to the correct account with the other representative. Which of course is not helpful since I informed her that Sunday was my last day, and that was the day she was talking to me. The lady who was preparing the omelets must have had a bad month. Because she had no personality. Well, that is not true, she had a horrible personality, and I mean bad, like she was mad at the world. So overall it was a horrible experience, which was deplorable since I had booked the weekend to get my sister out of the house for the first time, since the loss of her adult son. I took some pictures, but the issues were not just physical but logical with staff and attitudes and personalities. I have never had this kind of experience...

Yet, at the same time, the bar area was fully lit and it wasn't in use. Normally the TVs in the room are at a minimum on during the times of breakfast and the manager's reception. Yet over the course of the week, I never saw them on.

I was greeted as an Honors member and then asked if I was allergic to peanuts. I am not, but I didn't realize my response was to provide me three small bags of peanuts with my bottled water. Most other Embassys provide a Diamond member a candy bar and chips with the water. Giving a bag of nuts in lieu of a bag of chips would have been fine, but three bags did not strike me as a thank you.
Another small problem was the extra blanket stored in the closet. A nice large and fluffy blanket, I found it nice and warm on my legs as I sat on the couch in the room. However, removing the blanket, I saw my pant legs were covered in lint and fuzz from the degrading blanket. Returning home, my wife noted how much of this lint/fuzz was in the wash from my pants. I'm certain that my room's blanket isn't the only one in this condition, as I doubt, they are routinely replaced, but they should be.
One item that is I believe beyond the control of the hotel other than their setup planning was the presence of a group suing a meeting room. They had set up a registration table off the hallway outside meeting room, while at the same time the lobby area immediately behind then was closed off for an event. I came into the hotel and turned to go to the elevator, immediately running into the group at the registration table. As there is only the width of the aisle between the table and meeting room, and that was filled with people chatting and registering for their meeting, there was no means of me proceeding to the elevator situated past the table area. I couldn't go to the elevator through the lobby area as it was closed off. This then meant I had to go around to the opposite side to use the elevator over there instead of the one...

Bedroom has a sink armories tv and full size mirror. Bathroom has essential but it definitely can used some updating. It seems that they build on top of original tiles and ceiling was low and toilet was soo low also. It was awkward. But it did the job. There is a leaky shower 509 kept me up first night next night. Closed all doors and slept through. Beds were comfortable with clean linens and enough towels were provided. The hotel grounds was very airy bright with enough sitting to accomodate guests. The breakfast was included with reservation And they have many choices a la carte eggs, hot breakfast bar, bagels and pastrirs, waffle station, yogurt, cereal and oatmeal. Assortment of juices and hot drinks tea chocolate, coffee. We had complemantary drinks for 3 nights we stayed, but we had to use during happy hour 5-6:30 not a minute later. Elevators were very slow; I arrived late when I wanted to redeem and barternder will not honor. This was a bummer after a whole day attending conferences. The next day I was there early and to my surprise they had snacks for happy hour! Crackers pretzels ,cheese tray, trail mix, and cheese ctackers. Very nice touch and redeem my drink tickets. Pool area: small and quaint pool needed to be cleaned, as I swam there were plastic cups inside deeper end and through the rims of pool. The jacuzzi water was cloudy, left little desire to get in. There was enough sitting area and recliner to enjoy, my afternoon drink. They provided pool towels. Location: across the street there were many restaurant and bars to choose from. There was a bus stop also right in front and since my conference was at the Rosen center it was fairly close. There seems to have parking but I do not know if this incurs a fee, since I did not rent a car. Overall my...
