This was absolutely the WORST experience I have ever had at a nail salon, or really any place of business in my life. I went in for a manicure and a pedicure for my birthday, and was met with a woman who soaked my feet in the tub, scrubbed the bottom of my feet, then drained the foot tub and put lotion on my feet (no cutting or filing my toenails, no cutting my cuticles, no painting my nails. Did not even remove all of the nail polish from my toenails). During which, a man started working on my hands who had a nasty attitude from the minute he started working on me (I assume he had something bad happen prior because he was extremely rude). He took off my fingernail polish only halfway, and when I asked him to take the rest off he sighed and removed most of the rest. He then proceeded to start filing my nails. I asked if he was going to push back my cuticles and cut them, and he said “I didn’t need it” (I needed it badly). He then barely cut my cuticles on a couple of fingers and asked me to pay for both services prior to even doing anything to my feet since he said I need to pay before the polish on my fingers. I said okay and paid, and even tipped this extremely rude man because I felt bad that he must have had a bad day and wanted to extend an olive branch. Then when he came back, he wanted to paint my nails right away, and I explained I still needed the cuticles cut on my left hand. He then threw down his tools and yelled to the other workers that “someone else needs to work on her”. I asked why and he said “you’re trying to give me a hard time”. At that point I said okay, and two other workers came over apologizing to me, offering to actually do the service to my feet and hands. At first I said okay, but the man who was originally working on me kept leaving the shop and coming back in to scream at me. After this happening 4-5 times, I was in tears and told the new worker I was not willing to stay and just wanted a refund (side note- it was my birthday). The last time the man came in to scream at me, he got in my face and THREW money which hit me IN MY FACE screaming if I wanted a refund here it was. While crying I went to pick up the money and he snatched it from me. At this point I said I was calling the police because he had made contact with me physically and I was afraid he would hit me. When I called the police the man finally left. I waited outside for the police and asked the two workers still there for a refund again, in which they said we would discuss when the police arrived. At that point, I did not speak to the workers again, but the police did on my behalf. They informed me that the worker there said they would not give me a refund, but if I was willing to come back in the shop someone would take care of me. Being that I was bawling and it was my birthday, I refused. They then said I could come back another day, in which case I refused because the same worker could be there, and I did not feel safe being that no one interferes with his insane actions. So, now I am disputing the charge with my bank, but wanted to make sure to share with anyone who might consider this place, if you value your safety and self respect- DO...
Read moreI went here for the first time to get my nails done last week over my lunch break. There was only 1 person working, but they told me they could take me as a walk-in. I was seated and given two acetone bowls to soak off my dip powder (1 for each hand) - after about 25 minutes of waiting, a second person arrived to do my nails. At this point I had removed my hands from the acetone as I was concerned about soaking my fingers in the chemicals for that amount of time. The man who arrived to do my nails did not wash their hands or wear gloves before starting my service. They walked in from their vehicle and sat down and started working on my nails. He used the electric file to work down the old dip power, and when I shared that it was getting hot, he said "no" and continued filing down my nail. There are several spots on my nails that resulted in being very thin, almost creating "holes" in my nails. The new dip powder was applied very lumpy - not filed down smooth after before the top coat. This caused my nails to start cracking within 2 days of the service. I am now about 9 days since my appointment and have 5 nails cracked - two of which have snapped completely from how thin my nails were electrically filed down. I am scared to take off the remaining dip powder as I can feel a sore spot under my nail which I believe is a very thin spot from the electric filer as well. I have concerns about the cleanliness and practices I experience...
Read moreNot worth the stop - I have tried this place twice. The first time I did not like the fact that they did my nails while I was sitting in the pedicure chair like they were trying to get me out of there efficiently.
Today I went in deciding to try it again. It was about 2pm on a weekday, and I was told to "pick my colors" which is standard manicure salon speak, and then was brought back to my pedicure chair. I sat there for a little while and then started to look around and do the math of number of clients vs. staff. Suffice to say, I sat there for about an hour with no attention. Finally, someone brought gel nail polish remover for my hands and then promptly walked away and left me sitting there, again, without touching my feet which had now been soaking for nearly an hour.
I got up and left, internally scolding myself for trying a place I had once had a bad experience. Today's experience was even worse. Despite the great location, I believe a good manicure salon is worth driving to and would not...
