We had a party of 5, with four handicapped people with us. We made a reservation at 4:43pm. We checked in at 5, although we didnt get put into the cue until 5:15, after we went up again and asked how long the wait was going to be. She told us another 25 minutes. in 25 minutes she told us another 25 minutes, then a third time was another 25:minutes. We didn't get seated until 6:25pm. We ordered our food, it took an hour after we ordered to get our food. One got ice cold fries with his steak, one ordered a full slab of ribs with EXTRA barbecue sauce, he got completely bare ribs with no sauce. He didn't even get to eat with us because we had our food before he got his. They took his ribs back, slapped barbecue sauce on them, threw them on the grill and brought them back, with sides that had already gotten cold. Had to ask our waitress for rolls, as we never got any. We kept having to flag her down and ask for drinks, the salad dressing we ordered but never got, brown sugar for sweet potatoes, everything that we originally ordered but didn't get. This was the absolute WORST Texas Roadhouse experience that I've ever had, and I LOVE Texas Roadhouse. Do yourself a favor and do NOT go to this restaurant. I tried speaking with the manager twice, didn't make a bit of difference. I spoke with a female manager the first time, and a male manager the second time and all they did was make excuses. Between the five of us, we spent $145.00 and it was a miserable expedience. Do NOT go! This is the Texas Roadhouse in Elizabethtown, KY.
I got a response from the owner saying please let us know before you leave so we can try and make it right. I DID speak with a manager, twice while I was there, and they just made excuses and THAT WAS ALL THEY DID. So what GOOD did it do to let them know before...
Read moreI want to tell you about my server Mackenzie F.
She was amazing, kind, thoughtful, and joyful.
She made sure my special request were not only filled, she also made sure they were to my liking... Sweet tea that is not so sweet it makes you pucker .
That is customer service above and beyond expectations.
Sometimes, it is the simple things in life...
I entered the restaurant by myself (we all hate and dread sitting alone in a restaurant), and after checking on me several times, MacKenzie took a moment out of her busy schedule to stop and talk with me.
I like my Texas Roadhouse on a normal day, and the food is always well prepared (thumbs up to the cooks), but today was exceptional. Today, a very busy young lady took the time to make time for me.
Our conversation was short, but I learned about her dreams, and she allowed me to share the joy of my life, my grandchild, with her.
It may not seem like a big deal to some, but it is a big deal and an exceptional, thoughtful, kind gesture.
I will always remember Makenzie for her generous spirit and thoughtful kindness.
She has made "my" Texas roadhouse a destination place when I am in Elizabethtown...or any other place where I can find a Texas Roadhouse.
Thank you, Mackenzie, for your wonderful kindness and amazing thoughtfulness. You put extra joy in my day. May God bless you and make all your hopes and dreams come true. May his angels keep you and watch over you always. Blessings upon blessing to you.
Lynn
PS. Mackenzie was also very professional, checking to see if the food and beverage was to my liking, checking to see if I needed anything, and asking if I needed boxes. Then, assisting me with checkout.

Read moreUPDATE: I have been contacted and apologized to. They offered to pay for my stroller to be cleaned. Original post: Won't be returning to this location. I am a new mom and I live in a different state than my family and have no one to babysit. Leaving the house has been extremely hard but I built myself up enough to go to a book club meeting at Texas Roadhouse last night. I brought my stroller in since my baby was asleep in her car seat and is still too little to sit up. The manager quickly came over and said nope this can't be here with a lot of attitude. I quickly agreed with her and we stuck the car seat into the booth next to me and put the stroller where she told me it would be okay. About 20 minutes later a different hostess steamed up to our table and asked me if that was my stroller, I said yes and she let me know that someone just tripped and spilt food all over it. She was smirking in a disgusted way when she said the last part and just stared at me for a minute blinking her eyes. She was clearly waiting for an apology but honestly so was I. I told her, okay we will deal with it and she umphed and walked off. Thank goodness another waitress took a wet rag and cleaned it off. I wanted to run and hide I was so embarrassed. My baby did not cry once the entire time we were there but we were treated as such an inconvenience. I wish I knew beforehand how NOT family friendly they were. I cried on the way home. LONGHORN steakhouse has been extremely accommodating and I am so grateful that they have made me feel so welcome to bring all of my baby's essentials with me so I can get out of the house and...
