Absolutely the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, when I first arrived (6/12/25, Room 323 King suite with Jacuzzi) I had complications with even being checked in then to find out I had to pay 150$ for a deposit when nothing was listed through the booking for that, then to be placed in the wrong room and have to go back again to be placed into the room I paid for, both rooms I saw were disgusting and not cleaned at all, a while later my significant other came down to demand a refund due to the mold, dust, spiders, stains, running water that didn’t stop, the fact that the bed was covered in stains including the fold out couch and their was a rotten smell in our room. We got refused because it wasn’t within a 15 minute time span which we explained that there’s no way we could’ve made that due to already being misplaced in the wrong room, we then got told to check in with management but they wouldn’t arrive until noon which was after our check out time. The whole building was very ran down and multiple things broken (vending machines, ice machine and the elevator.) to pay 250$ for this was highly disappointing and I do want a refund on the payment. The desk was no help, the room was horrible, the building reeked of an old foul smell and we were scared to even touch anything in our room, we ended up having to pick up a blanket from the store to sleep with since we couldn’t trust if we got a new one it would be clean, sadly this place if false advertising and they make it seem a lot nicer then it is. Don’t stay here and don’t waste your money. It’s not worth paying for at all and hope I can get a refund for my troublesome stay.

This place should be condemned. From the always-wet corner of the first room where mold is visibly growing atop the carpeting, to carpet pulling away from the walls, stains on the wall and ceiling, and a commode base which hasn't been cleaned in far too long, this is unquestionably one of the most abhorrent places I've ever laid my head. The first day we asked for clean towels at the front desk, we were given one bath mat and nothing else. Two days later when we asked for trash removal and clean towels, the gal at the front desk (same gal!) told me TO MY FACE to go find housekeeping myself. Later, upon hearing water actively splashing inside the wall after the person upstairs flushed the toilet, we asked to be moved to a different room, which they ultimately did accommodate after we pointed out the extreme health hazard of the first room. Kudos to the late-night attendant who tried to be helpful even though it's apparent she has no support. The second room smelled of cigarettes and had plenty of its own mold and maintenance problems, but at least it was not soaked with someone else's wastewater. We took one look at the tub in the new room, however, and became determined to only shower, and that as quickly as possible. The Porte Cochere drips on your head, the grounds are unkempt and littered with weeds, trash, and what appears to be human waste. Unkempt, depressing, deplorable.... There just aren't words for it. Will not stay here again and would not recommend to anyone except a demolition company. If you find yourself in Dayton, exercise some self-love and choose anywhere - ANYWHERE - but this place.

Warning: this hotel has live/active bed bugs. I would rate this place a 0 if I could. Not only do they have bed bugs but the rooms are not properly cleaned and are filthy with dirt and hair. We checked in on New Year’s Eve. Upon entering any hotel room, we always check for bed bugs. Sure enough, we checked into room 344 and pulled back the mattress protector and searched in the folds of the mattress and there was a live bed bug. We went to the front desk and showed the picture. Debbie, the front desk rep, offered another room. The new room had black bed bug droppings on the mattress. Our friends were also staying in the hotel so we checked their bed and found SEVERAL dead bugs in and around their mattress. Therefore, we chose to check out and asked for a refund. Debbie said she would need for the manager to refund us because she could not. Since then, I’ve called the hotel twice and keep getting the same run around that the manager has to refund us, but we have still not receive the refund and no call back from the manager. I have reported them to corporate Choice Hotels and have attached the picture of the live bed bug.

Check-in was done with a really nice guy that got me a room for 2 nights after I accidentally booked my room for next month, not this weekend. At 1st glance the room seemed really nice. Tried to send my boys to shower when I noticed there was only 1 towel in the bathroom. Went and got more towels from the front desk with no problem. Next morning I found out the door to the room didn't latch closed (I had locked it from the inside the night before so I didn't realize it then). I finally got it closed by slamming it. A nice lady housekeeper heard me slam the door n asked if I was ok. I told her the problem and she helped me get my room moved for safety reasons. This lady was amazing! She went to the front desk and told them to move my room close by because I had my kids and grandsons with me. Moved right across the hall...I pushed the door open without using the key card. Was going back to the front to tell them when I saw the housekeeper lady. I showed her that door and the issue. She took me to a vacant room that the door worked properly. This room was really nice! I had towels, hand towels, and wash clothes...lol! The room itself was very clean. They had a breakfast buffet with a variety of options. They had a bar that closed early on Friday because of no customers but Saturday it was open. I couldn't go in because I had my 3 yr old grandson with me but it looked nice and there were people there looking like they were having a good time. I was sooooo disappointed in the fact that the pool was closed. The ONLY reason I booked this room in the 1st place was to take my kids and grandkids swimming for the weekend. I came from WI to spend time with them. But I was told it was closed the next day when I asked about it...I should've asked before I paid for the room. But on Orbitz this place is listed to have an indoor pool. Whatever...I made the best of it and took the kids to the Air Force Museum which isn't that far from this hotel. Still had a great weekend. If you're looking for a room, breakfast buffet, and bar onsite... this is the place to stay. Plus the staff were so nice, amazing, and helpful...you don't find...

I called this hotel before commuting into the Dayton International Airport to confirm that they provided transportation to and from the airport. They said they did. When I arrived at the airport and called them, they said that they could not get ahold of their driver to come pick me up. It was a $15.95 Uber ride to the hotel. They did not offer reimbursement. ||The room was okay, about what I expected for a Clarion Inn. Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast. Location is good for proximity to a park with hiking/running/biking trails, restaurants, and grocery store. I went for a run before checking out and needed a shower. The shower provided a trickle of water. I ended up turning on the tub faucet and laying on the tub floor to rinse my hair out. It was far from ideal.||I requested a refund for 50% of cost of my stay at checkout as the main purpose one usually stays at a hotel is for a comfortable bed and a warm shower. I did not get the latter. The front desk attendant told me she did not have the authority to make that decision and directed me to email a video of the showerhead's performance to the hotel manager and gave me an email address. I did this while standing there. I followed up 48 hours later after receiving no response. ||I have attempted to call this hotel numerous times since this stay and no one answers the phone. I contacted corporate Choice Hotels and they apologized for this franchise owners lack of attention by giving me 8000 points to use toward a stay at one of their other hotels. Most hotels in this area require 12-20,000 points for a free nights stay. A month has passed with no response from this hotel. ||The morning I left, the hotel driver was there. He was a kind, older gentleman. He told me that they never called him the day before to come get me. He insisted I sit in the front seat of the van as it had an airbag and he wanted me to be safe. He would not accept a tip for handling my bags. He was the highlight of my stay. Good conversation and...
