I will not be returning to this Waffle House anytime in the near future. For the third time in the past 6 months I have made an attempt to purchase food at this location and have been told it was closed. I work third shift and Waffle House is the only place in the area that is open 24 hours, except this one in particular. Google lists them as open 24 hours and so does the Waffle House website. I recently had a craving for a waffle at 3:30am, checked the website to make sure they were opened as I know staffing issues have caused some locations to vary their hours. I get to the restaurant and walk in and am “greeted” by a waitress doing something on her cellphone with “we are closed”. I perceived her tone as irritated that I had the audacity to even walk into this restaurant. While she sat at a booth another female employee was walking from the back of the house towards the grill. I was not given any reason for the closure, nor was there a sign stating a change to the hours, and the door was unlocked and all signage was lit indicating to the average person that they were open for business. I seen a waitress in there that was a huge team player,she helped everyone, she greeted everyone, she was very attentive to everyone, smiled laughed and made everyone feel welcomed. You would of thought she was a manager.. from her jumping on the grill off the grill waiting tables and cleaning and running around doing everything while being very attentive to customers.. but seeing she wasn't valued as a good employee was heart-wrenching to watch when the district manager belittled her talk down to her and pushed her to the side like she was nothing.. it's clear to see that management does not value their employees there. It was clear the blonde curly hair district manager did not care about her employees at all.. that manager isn't why we keep coming back. We come back because of the good hearted waitress that treated us along with the other customers like family eager to make sure our experience was good.. if the owner seen this for their self. Read moreThis was the worst experience my husband and I have had at a Waffle House. Half of the restaurant was blocked off the other half was dirty. The 1 and only waitress got our drink order and didn't come back she got busy doing dishes and chatting with the customers at the counter so the gentleman that was cooking took our order and an older lady took over cooking when we got our order bacon was cold we asked for apple butter with raisin toast never got had to remind him of our grits he goes to get those brings them back had to ask for butter. When we put butter on them it didn't even start to melt they were cold and clumping together by the time we were able to catch someones attention we had had enough. We were pleasant but when we got up to pay and told them about the service, food and being ignored the server said I'm the only server here but yet only brought us our drinks. There was at least 4 people there and only half the restaurant opened. Please would the manager or the person above manager help this location turn around. I think burn out...
