Kissing Moose Cafe — Restaurant in Estes Park

I love love love the Kissing Moose cafe! Everything I have tried is delicious!! The breakfast casserole is super yummy, it’s a perfect portion for breakfast and it’s gluten free! The breakfast burritos are some of the best I’ve had, and the coffee is always piping hot and delicious! The Haan-tons are like big egg rolls stuffed with different ingredients and are perfect for a lunch on the go! I had the Italian and loved it! The Mac and cheese is delicious with gooey cheese that melts in your mouth! And, if she has the cheesecake available you must try! It has ruined all other cheesecakes for me!

The service at the kissing moose cafe is always friendly and quick! Both Vicki, the owner, and Jerry, who works the window with her, always greet me with a smile! 😁 And everything Vicki cooks is divine!

There are a few picnic tables to sit and enjoy your breakfast or lunch with beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains all around you! Or, if you’re headed to, or from, the National Park, pick up something quick to eat on your way. You can even order online and they will have your order ready when you get there for even faster service!

I, admittedly am biased, because this is my Mother’s cafe’. Let me tell you about Vicki… she was a SAHM of four kids, and had to shop on a tight budget. She always found ways to make our meals special, I can remember her tweaking ingredients on a single dish, over and over, until she had it perfect! She would take a simple thing like ground beef, and make so many variations of cuisine, that my siblings and Myself couldn’t appreciate until we were older. We thought it was normal to have ,what I now consider, gourmet meals every week! Her potato salad is always requested at every family get together. Her Cheesecake rivals any chef in fancy New York restaurants! Cooking for her isn’t exactly a science, it’s more like art, and she pours all of her love into each item she makes. She is always the first one to make people a week’s worth of meals, anytime there is an illness, or a new baby or a family in need, and truly loves to see people enjoy her food!
