Since moving to NW Arkansas from Texas, we'd yet to find a nice, family oriented TexMex restaurant replete with authentic cuisine and great margaritas. Our search is now over. As their name translates, Amigos is our new best dining friend with a menu full of the TexMex staples we grew up with. Pretty much everything comes with beans and rice as it should and comes from the kitchen so hot the cheese and sauces are still bubbling. Of course, it all begins with chips and salsa... the things that determine if it's real TexMex or an imposter. The chips are fresh and crisp from the fryer with just the right amount of oil residue and the salsa is hearty with just the right kick to spice things up. Adding queso and guacamole for dipping was a well rewarded decision as both tasted like they'd just snuck over the Wall. I had a margarita swirl and wife had margarita on the rocks. Both were delicious tequila transport vehicles to get us in festive spirits. For our entrees, I went with the Tres Amigos enchiladas and rice had the Los Tamales. Portions were ample and so delicious your sad to leave a single bite behind. All of this set in a decor that is homey and warm. With a beautiful 45 minute ride from our house, we'll be making Amigos a regular part of our dining schedule. In short, "Nosotros amamos amigos!"

Went for dinner on a Sunday while staying for travel. Was sat immediately. Location: in the downtown area, on a hillside (have to use stairs to get to). Parking nearby in lots (must pay to park unless after 5pm). GPS took us there. Atmosphere: pretty open. Well lit. Booths and tables available. Indoor/outdoor seating and outdoor features for entertainment. Popculture music. Appeared clean. Service: nice but a little unattentive even though it wasn't busy. Easy to order. Food: tacos, burritos, fajitaa, fajitas, enchiladas, chili relleno, salads, specialties, etc. I ordered the taco salad. It was good but they didn't give me all the items that came with it (i.e., sour cream and guacamole) so had to ask for it. Overall, good flavors. Salsa was good but was spicy for me (maybe jalapeno in it?). Prices: affordable. They also do an Ala carte menu if you don't want the rice and beans. I think my taco salad was around $11. Overall, a decent place. I would go again.

When I first moved to a Eureka, after living in Texas for over 4 years, I twitched on a regular basis for lack of good Tex-Mex. I simply couldn’t find my “fix” for Mexican food around here. Most of the places around lack seasoning and flavor. However, after making a few visits to Amigos in downtown Eureka, we have learned to really enjoy this place. It’s large, it’s clean, great decor, and an awesome little patio as well. They serve a mean margarita, and their flavors are incredible. I just recently learned to order their Salsa Verde, and the flavor that comes from that bowl is amazing! It’s awesome on chips, and even more awesome when poured over their great chicken enchiladas!!! Their cheese dip passes our test with thumbs up, and they have great, thin, crispy chips. This is quickly becoming a lunch favorite for us!!! You need to visit Amigos. They are located at 75 South Main Street in downtown... directly across from Cornerstone Bank!

First time at this restaurant... meh wasn’t impressed at all. Seemed clean services eh was okay but as soon as our food came out our server disappeared... food sucked as well as the drinks. I’d probably have to say the only good thing was the chips because they were fresh. Salsa was eh. Queso was tasteless. Margarita might as well have been water because that’s what it tasted like. Also in the middle of waiting for our nachos out of nowhere our eyes start watering up (like when you’re cutting onions) we’ve been to many Mexican restaurants that was the first time that has ever happened. Once our nachos came out I understood why the onion was so strong there. We had almost an entire onion on our nachos! Most of the nachos were made of onions and jalapeños. We ordered both chicken and steak on our nachos and found VERY LITTLE on it maybe two small spoonfuls! We were very dissatisfied and won’t be returning.

We ate on Friday night around 6:00. It was crowded but not too bad we got right in probably within 5-10 minutes. The problem was management was not ready for the crowds and there was only two people on the floor. So service was probably a little lacking from what it normally is. The food was really good. My husband had shrimp enchiladas for the first time. The shrimp was perfectly cooked. The cream sauce really complimented it well. I had the beef fajita enchilada. The beef was very well seasoned vegetables could have been chopped up a little better for my liking. And it comes with a chili sauce on top of it which takes away from the beef flavor. I would probably order it again and ask for light sauce. We had flan for dessert it was really really good. Overall really enjoyed the food just wish they had a couple extra servers.

Food good! Service needs work. They seemed short staffed. Although there were many open tables when we arrived, we waited 10 minutes at the entrance for a host to greet us and seat us. We were brought chips and salsa pretty quickly, but the waters we asked for a couple times never came. My companion had to go ask for water at the bar. My frozen peach margarita had excess salt in it. The server happily brought me another one without salt. I ordered the shrimp enchiladas and they were excellent. I had asked to not be served beans because the mere sight of refried beans gives me nausea. When my plate came with beans I asked for an extra plate so I could remove the beans. I also ordered the tres leches cake. It is served drenched with chocolate syrup which seems unnecessary, but it was good.
