BLUF: The Sarah Suite was beautiful, unique, and overall great! Very close to downtown Eureka Springs. Breakfast was fantastic and filling. Location: Like said, it is located very close to downtown Eureka Springs. Multiple restaurants and shops are located within walking distance. Parking is included with your room so it definitely saves you money with parking at the downtown area since almost all parking is $5 or more. Would not recommend this location if you are in wheelchair or have low mobility. The reason you're so close to the town is thanks to a very long staircase, there are ways around but it would be more out of the way. If you don't mind stairs or inclines, then there's no issues! Service: We arrived on Christmas Day, the owners were not available to physically be there due to it being Christmas. This was no issue, we walked up to the front office and there was an envelope with my name on it with the keys and instructions for the room. No issues. Breakfast was delivered by 9:30 every morning and was very filling and healthy. It was very enjoyable each day. They have different options based on your dietary restrictions, you just have to let them know ahead of time. The day after Christmas was our anniversary and when booking the room, they also have options for those sort of things. I requested a card with a special note and some chocolate covered strawberries. Both came out wonderful. Room: The room was very beautiful and very unique. It was decorated for Christmas and felt very cozy and homey. The Sarah Suite was very awesome, it has the front window and living room looking out into Downtown Eureka Springs, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The living room was very beautiful, with a couch, an electric fireplace, and a TV. The living room had a permanently locked door that would naturally lead to the other suite, no issues other than we could hear our neighbors snore, but only from the living room. The bedroom was great, everything was clean and ready to go. ** There was one grey long sleeve shirt that was left there from a previous person, and that was bothersome **. The bathroom was beautiful, with a giant jet tub that was very relaxing at the end of the day. No issues with the bathroom at all. The outside area, out the back door, was very disappointing. I imagine it's much better kept during spring and summer, but it was disappointing to see it like it was during winter. Overall, it's a beautiful place and definitely worth the money. I know the room was clean, the grey long sleeve had to be an oversight. No noise was heard from the bedroom regarding the neighbors. We were not bothered at all except for breakfast, and even that was just a *knock* and then "breakfast" and it was left on your porch. Very enjoyable time, will come back here if visiting Eurika Springs.

Pros: - Location was nice, and right next to downtown. - Parking was right outside the room. Do not take a large vehicle, though; due to the street width, and the small parking lot. - Room appeared to be cleaned regularly. Cons: - Very rude owners/managers, who refused to acknowledge any of the issues we encountered, and were constantly defensive and dismissive. - Food was obviously not cooked properly, and smelled/looked rancid. Food provided was not even on the set menu provided. - Food storage is definitely an issue, based on the food received and the soured wine that was left in the room. - Owners/managers refused to respond to text/email/voicemail about ingredients of food items (needed to check for wife's deadly allergies). - Dishes provided with breakfast were dirty (looked like they had not been washed in a very long time). - In room coffee was stored incorrectly, in an open container. As expected it was very state when we gave it a try. - Property was super dated. Not necessarily a bad thing, but they should think about updating things to be more modern. - Lots of dehumidifiers in the room, which was just odd. - There was a weird perfumy smell, probably from a plug-in odor hider, that we could nto find and remove. - Detergent used is apparently very strong or not fully washed out of the bedding. This caused by wife to break out all over. - Hot tub was just disgusting. We have a hot tub, so we know that the state of it is caused by it not being maintained properly. It appeared that it had not ever been cleaned (mold, algae, dirt, etc). - Keys stored out on the street, instead of somewhere secure (just a very bad practice in general). - Horrible customer service all around. Some places we would have asked for a discount or a partial refund, but after the horrible response we received when letting them know about the rancid food, we did not even bother asking. It is obvious that these people (not sure if it is the owners or just the managers) have no idea how to properly run a B&B, nor do they have any concept of cleaning or customer service at all. There are many other places in the area that would be a better use of your time and money. My overall - do not stay here, unless you absolutely have to.

I just got back from a wonderful stay at Cliff Cottage Inn, the Henry David Thoreau Suite! I really needed a short getaway in order to recharge my energy, & this place really fit the bill in every way (although I went as a solo traveler, this suite would also work for a couples-getaway also). While the accommodations here are extremely close to all the amenities of downtown (restaurants, coffee & dessert shops, shops, banking, nightlife, etc.), the suite was extremely quiet & peaceful. This suite (as do all of the accommodations here, I think) backs up next to a beautiful set of moss-lined bluffs. When I arrived, even though it was February, the temperature was a pleasant 71 degrees, & I sat out on the covered balcony to enjoy nature while having a glass of white wine (the owners provide you your choice of either a white wine or champagne; my Woodbridge Sauvignon Blanc was great!). The suite has a bedroom w/ very comfortable queen-sized bed with plenty of pillows, great bedroom lighting. an Amazon Echo (so you can hear any kind of music or get any information you want or need). The main room has a closet with 2 bathrobes, a comfortable loveseat w/ pillows, small dining table w/ 2 chairs, mini-fridge (includes your wine/champagne & 2 bottled waters), coffeemaker, great coffee & assorted teas, Smart TV w/ Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu & Sling TV (for sports & news), a gel fireplace, a garden window & lots of publications, including information about Eureka Springs. The bathroom boasts a sparkling-clean jacuzzi tub. With your accommodation, you get a creative, beautifully-crafted culinary-delight breakfast delivered right to your room every morning & also a plate of assorted cookies & a teacup full of chocolates. Your hosts, Asheli & Justin, are delightful, friendly, helpful & responsive & a veritable wealth of information about the area no matter your particular interest(s). Between the two of them, they have created a "little slice of heaven" in a very unique town, while bringing world-class hospitality & culinary delights to their accommodations. I heartily & highly recommend Cliff Cottage Inn; check out their website for the perfect accommodation for your next getaway!
