I am a recurring guest at hotels in Fargo,ND. I work long hours and will stay in the area instead of driving home. I decided to stay at this hotel 11.28.20.
I usually stay at Staybridge right down the street. I wanted a change and to just see if I would like to be a recurring guest with this hotel.
The Hotel check in was fair. I checked in late after a long day of work. The Room stay was fair. I ended up over sleeping and was woken to one knock on the door and housekeeping entering. Housekeeping didnt say anything at this time. The housekeeper stepped back outside the room and closed the door.
I did realize the time and that it was after check out about 12:40 pm. I jumped in the shower. While showering I heard the room phone ringing. Assuming it was front desk I eneded up missing the call.
I received another knock on the door by front desk staff. I tried to apologize to this staff for the inconvenience. This staff kept tapping at her wrist and over talking me. I was not able to really explain that I had over slept. I told her I was just brushing my teeth and would be on my way. This staff stated I would possibly be charged for a late fee.
She was unprofessional, rude and not understanding at all. Considering I checked in at a later time the following night. I was tired from work and accidentally over slept.
I checked out 11.29.20 around1:10 pm as fast as I could knowing this staff was upset and not at the slightest understanding of the situation.
Driving home I recieved a phone notification that my card was charged $49 from then hotel. I called and talked to the front desk who stated the general manager was in a meeting and I could leave a voicemail.
I received a call back on 11.30.29 around 12:00 pm from the assistant manager Kiah. I again tried to explain my situation to her. She also was very rude and started to raise her voice at me over this phone call.
She continued to be rude and unprofessional. I could not communicate with her as she would talk over me when I would try to speak. As an assistant manager one would think she would at the least be understanding.
I am a hard worker I pay good money to stay at hotels on a regular. I understand that I was late checking out. So I am okay with paying the late check out fee. My issue is the way the staff went about a misunderstanding.
I was treated as if I overslept on purpose or as if I was doing it to make everyone else's job hard. Which was not the case it was an honest mistake.
Hopefully the staff at this hotel will be more understanding when this situation occurs again. Sometimes your guest might oversleep but to treat your guest in a way that I was is not acceptable as staff and looks bad as a company .I will never book or refer any of my Coworkers, Family or Friends to stay...
Read moreAn experience we won’t soon forget. Sorry in advance for the length, but you’ll appreciate knowing this before booking. Our visit was Sept 5–7, 2025.
My wife and I often visit Fargo for a weekend getaway (we are Canadian) and always stay here. She has been coming since childhood, and even used to dream of getting married on the grand staircase. This time we brought my parents—my father is battling cancer, and we wanted a quiet trip. Instead, it turned into an embarrassment for this establishment.
On our second night, two groups were partying in the hotel. One group gathered in the courtyard, right outside our door, drinking at the hot tub until the 10:30pm closure, then yelling and refusing to leave until close to midnight despite multiple complaints to the front desk. The other group camped in the lobby, only four people but so loud it carried across the courtyard into our room. We repeatedly asked staff to intervene but were told “the lobby is open 24 hours” so nothing could be done. They finally left around 2am. The next day’s drive home was exhausting. If we wanted to party all night, we’d go to a club—not a hotel that ignores its own noise policies. We’ve stayed here for nostalgia, but this showed us it isn’t even that nice compared to other options.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the worst part. The next morning’s checkout revealed the most unprofessional customer service I’ve ever experienced. A young man (listed as “dsteko” on our bill) handled checkout. When my father, from room 106, joked “do you smile in the morning?” the staffer flatly said “nope.” When Dad replied “well, I wouldn’t hire you then,” the response was literally a grunt. My father asked if he was ok, and again got only “mhmm.” Still no eye contact. Finally, the clerk shoved a receipt in my dad’s face.
I stepped up to check out room 105 and asked if a manager was on duty so I could complain about the noise. He bluntly said “nope.” I asked how to contact one, and he silently pointed across the lobby. After shoving my receipt at me as well, I asked again, and he finally muttered, “you use a phone and dial the number,” pointing at the business cards on the counter. Still no eye contact—through the entire exchange.
This was shocking. My father, who is battling cancer, was treated dismissively, with grunts and zero professionalism. For a hotel we’ve supported for years, the handling of both the noise and the checkout was beyond unacceptable.
We will never be back. DO...
Read moreI had a nice stay at C’mon Inn on January 18th.
About 1 week later I received a letter from US Bank in Fargo, dated January 18, stating that they could not open an account in my name and address as they could not verify my identity. Since I had not applied for an account, I called up the bank to confirm that my identity had been stolen, and they informed me that two other attempts to open accounts in my name had been made.
The only place I gave my name and address was to the inn by giving my drivers license. I had two other credit card transactions in Fargo - one for Popeyes late on the 18th and for gas (pay at pump) on the 19th. While I cannot prove that my identity was stolen at the Inn and not stolen elsewhere, it seems really suspicious that I checked into the Fargo C’mon Inn in the afternoon of the 18th and someone applies for a bank account in Fargo that same day using my name and address.
I contacted the general manager at the Fargo C’mon Inn and he essentially blew me off. Comments of never happened here before, couldn’t be his employees, and he was not considering things further until I came back with proof. I considered this an unacceptable reply, so I reached out to corporate management, where I was able to speak with Troy. The response was similar - never had this happen before, unlikely it was us, and a grudging I will contact the manager at the Fargo location. I stressed that this was not just for me, but if it is someone at the Inn doing this, they could be doing this to other people staying at the Inn and would be a serious liability for them.
Neither seemed to understand (or at least acknowledge) the seriousness of the problem, nor the signs pointing to someone at C’mon Inn. I have a credit freeze, added a fraud alert with all three credit bureaus, registered a fraud complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and filed a police report. This has taken me hours of my time. I would appreciate that management would address this seriously as well.
