Blessed to have this store in Fargo. Bethany is extremely kind and knowledgeable. She worked as a lactation specialist and neonatal ICU nurse in the past. She was recommended by both our inpatient and outpatient pediatricians (one is also a trained lactation specialist), our OBGYN, and coworkers.
We didn't have any confidence in breast feeding the baby and using a breast pump and my wife was feeling a bit down because of this, but we brought baby in and she showed us in one of her private rooms some techniques for breast feeding baby and how to use and get properly fitted for a breast pump. She even had a scale to weigh baby before and after feeding to see how many ounces of milk baby consumed after breast feeding and it was a big confidence booster.
I highly encourage people to come here even if they are already seeing lactation at either hospital in Fargo to get an honest opinion and advice from someone who is truly passionate about what they do. We will be going here for all of our future lactation needs and having prescriptions for any...
Read moreI cannot say enough good about the owner of Milk Market. She has an amazing heart, and has all the lactation support knowledge and supplies to back it up! If there's anything you need - pumps and parts, nursing bras/clothes, milk and pump storage solutions, nursing pillows, nipple care, supplements, etc. - she probably has it or can point you in the right direction. Her well-stocked, well-organized store and exceptional customer service fills a gap in care in our region.
I came in with huge concerns about being able to maintain my milk supply, and I left with exactly what I needed - the pump parts, pumping bra, and emotional support - to make it happen. I was so relieved. It would've taken me three weeks of ordering and returning things (and still probably getting the wrong things) to get what we accomplished in one visit to the Milk Market. I am so thankful.
Run - don't walk - to this store. And tell all your friends!! Seriously! You'll be so...
Read moreAs a first time mom ( and a very new one at that) I was in dire need for a good pump. I had purchased one from Target and got one from the hospital, but neither of them worked the best. My husband and I stopped at Milk Market to look at pumps, turns out that was the best decision we could have made. She was so kind and informative. As the sole owner and employee of the store, she answered every question we may have had, provided insight to the world of lactation and provided helpful information l. She went through demos of different pumps and helped us immensely. I would highly recommend this place over and over. They have a bunch of helpful items and so far this has been the best purchase I've...
