Our visit yesterday was not very good. We called and ordered takeout and we ordered pho and spring rolls. I asked for peanut sauce instead of fish sauce and they charged me for it even though they said they didn't. Also the pho was awful. The broth did not taste right. They ran out of bean sprouts but decided not to tell us and put in shredded lettuce instead. Have you ever had shredded lettuce in pho before? When we called them about it their response was, "oh sorry". Don't you think they could have told us that when we ordered? Bad service. Bad attitudes - nobody cares about making sure that the order was right or even making up to the fact that they didn't give us the right product or even letting us know about not having the right stuff so we could have ordered something else. We will not be returning!
So after a couple of years I decided to go and try this restaurant again. Big mistake!! I ordered food to go. Based on their own website my food should have cost about $30. BUT the owner is obviously not interested in giving his customers good information. My food cost $46. I asked the staff why they don't correct the prices and they said they have asked the owner to fix them but he won't. Also I asked for peanut sauce for my spring rolls but didn't get it. Also asked for no tendon or tripe for my combo Pho but they gave it to me anyway. I also paid for extra meat. If what they gave me is extra, I would hate to see how little they actually give with a standard order. Finally if you are paying with a credit card they add an additional 3.5%. of course that wasn't communicated to me prior to ordering. All in all very disappointing and very deceitful...
Read moreI came right before closing so I ordered our food Togo and usually when you Togo food it’s not the same as eating it in the restaurant but boy was this SOOOOO good. I was literally amazed to have good Vietnamese food in Pensacola cause everything is so Americanized here. I got the bun bo hue which is one of my favorite things to get and I’ve tried it about 3 times at different places in Pensacola and none of them tasted like bun bo hue and none of them give you mam ruoc either but this place does! That’s how you know they’re legit. Gotta have the mam ruoc and ot sate and it was 🔥🔥🔥 if it had gio heo (pork hock) too it would’ve been perfect. I also got the banh mi thit nuong for my toddler and he loved it. Pork was very well marinated and it had a LOT of meat. Even too much for me but my husband started a carnivore diet and he did not mind eating the extra meat. The bread was airy and buttery which is perfect for banh mi if you know quality. We will definitely be coming here for our Vietnamese food fixes all the time! Wish I was able to take pictures but my toddler was...
