Country Inn and Suites Hotel review ! #countryinnandsuites #countryinnandsuitesbyradission #hotelreview #besthotel #flagstaffarizona

En route from IL to CA, and had a 1 night stop here, using points. It’s a very nice property, with modern and tasteful decor. Rooms are spacious, clean and thoughtfully laid out. Beds super comfy. Staff friendly and helpful. (And be sure to grab a fresh baked cookie in the lobby, yum!)The pool and hot tub are great- with a pool large enough to get some laps in. The included breakfast was setup well, with plenty of options. Parking is free and enough spaces available. The main street can be a little busy at night, with a lot of ongoing police activity- maybe just unlucky timing on our part, but something to aware of, so make sure your blinds are fully closed so all the flashing lights don’t wake you up. Street noise was not an issue- rooms very quiet. The hotel is in a great location if you want to walk to restaurants and bars in the downtown area. We would definitely stay here again when passing through!

I stayed at this hotel for one night on a very snowy day in Flagstaff. I was really pleased with the experience, starting with the covered parking (not enough for all guests, but I was lucky enough to get a spot), which kept my car free of snow accumulation throughout the night. The room I had was very clean and tidy. It faced a rather busy street, so there was some traffic noise throughout my stay, but it wasn't that bad. The snowplow going through was loud, but that only happens when it's snowing. I really liked the location in terms of proximity to good restaurants and getting in and out of town. The breakfast was nice and warm and flavorful. The juice machine was out of order so that was a miss, but the coffee was great. I think this is a very good value for Flagstaff and does not have the train noise that is so common for many Flagstaff hotels. Give it a try!

[TLDR]:The reason why I am rating Country Inn so low is because they double-booked me in a room with another customer that had already checked-into that same room. There is no excuse to let that happen to your customers. Radisson should know better! NOBODY likes being screamed at once they enter their hotel room, after a long drive/ stressful day!! I could have been arrested and sent to jail, no joke!

The other issues that I had with this hotel was cost, service, interior quality and rooms. The rooms felt cheap compared to Drury Inn across the street, that has similar pricing and bigger bang for buck. At CountryInn, they have paper thin walls (you can hear the street quite well and people in the halls). The rooms have interior items that needs replacing soon and the furniture in the rooms felt out of place or was made poorly for a smaller budget hotel room. There was awkward empty space and furniture cheaply made, not working so well to open or use. I placed a ‘Do not disturb’ sign on the door, but everyone tried entering my room during cleaning hours. Its not that I can tell them right away, because I am in the shower or taking a call. Front lobby doesnt really help or they are busy and on break all the time.

In depth on what happened: After checking in at the front, I took my luggage up to my room and opened the door and realized the room was occupied with a naked women screaming at me. I immediately let the door close with a abrupt sorry and left for the lobby quickly. They double booked me in a room with someones else!! This has never happened to me in my whole life until now. I am lucky the cops were not called on me or else Id be arrested and in jail.

Tried to get assistance at the front, but they were gone for awhile and dropped my stuff back in the car and rested there until they came back. Once back, told them the situation and they responded with a whoops- lemme check the system. Guess they overbooked and didnt have anything available. After 10min, they found something that was available. I should have demanded my money back and left now, but was too tired to think. Went up without my stuff, in case it was occupied and had to flee (lost trust with the person at the lobby now). Figured out it was okay, but the walls were paper thin and can everything on the street and the hall. Lastly, staff kept entering my room early (even after I placed a do not disturb sign out front). I dont need this concern in my life where the staff messes up on something so basic. If youre gonna overbook, make sure they are not double-booked!! I dont like being screamed at when I am seriously tired and...

The positives:

Every employee I had talked with at the front desk was very friendly and informative.

The location of the hotel is great if you are looking to make your way towards downtown Flagstaff. If you don't mind a half mile walk, you can be in the thick of everything relatively quickly.

The hotel itself was overall pretty clean both inside and outside on the property.

The price was quite reasonable considering what some of the other hotels were going for. It really fit our budget for a quick overnight stay.

The negatives:

The beds were, without exaggeration, the hardest beds I have ever slept on in my entire life. I am unsure if this was unique to our room or not, but on the third floor with the two queen beds, the mattresses had absolutely zero give to them. I am a bigger guy at over 260lbs and even I could not put any appreciable dent in the mattress. We woke up feeling quite sore from the sleep.

Checkout is 11 AM at this property and we planned to be out by around 10:45 AM. It was at approximately 9 AM that I was awoken from my sleep by three quick knocks at my door only to look over and realize that housekeeping was actually entering my room while I was still in bed! I had shouted 'Occupied!' several times, but it was only the extra door latch lock that saved us from having them enter in further. I am completely understanding of wanting to get rooms cleaned quickly, but to enter in a guest's room 2 hours before checkout, without having any notice that they actually did check out, is...

Hands down the worst hotel in Flagstaff!!!

I booked this reservation 4 months ago. And I showed up on the day of my reservation which also happened to be my birthday and they said they gave away my room and cancelled the booking. They were sold out and I struggled to get another hotel for the night…..on my birthday.

They didn’t apologize. The girl said the prior shift had cancelled me and they are just overnight. I could hear the 2 girls behind the desk laughing as I struggled to find another hotel. ON MY BIRTHDAY FOR A RESERVATION I BOOKED LIKELY BEFORE ANYONE ELSE IN THE HOTEL. They didn’t call or email to let me know. They just cancelled. They staff & hotel are complete garbage.

Avoid this place like the plague.

The lobby smells like a Buffalo’s butt after grazing an entire field of grass. The staff is rude. Terrible customer service. There is barely any parking. You better Uber to dinner because there will NOT be parking when you return.

The lobby bathrooms are disgusting. I obviously didn’t get a room so I cannot confirm 100 percent, but the room bathrooms are probably nasty too.

The lobby had those fliers with things to do in the area and there was coffee creamer splattered all over half of them.

So many better options in the area. Do not book this place. Everything about...
