Most disrespectful experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant.
I’m not the type to go online and complain but this experience was just too over the top to not acknowledge. A few friends and myself came in on July 18 to the Downtown location and just ordered a pizza. We waited an hour without asking anything because we noticed they were pretty busy but after the hour had passed we noticed several tables that had arrived after us getting their orders. We respectfully told our waitress what we were observing and asked if they had an ETA on our food. She returned saying that the kitchen staff told us “to never ask that question again”. We waited over an hour and a half with several other people getting their food before us with the only acknowledgment to our table being that we, as customers, shouldn’t ask when our food will be ready after an hour long wait. We asked to speak to the manager after we got our pizza (an hour and a half after ordering) and he said he would speak with us when he could. We waited another 15 minutes and just left, never speaking to a manager or even getting an apology for the way the kitchen staff spoke to us.
This entire experience was a poor reflection of what “Flagstaff’s Best” should be and I hope the staff and management begin to show a little more respect towards their customers. (Note: the waitresses were never disrespectful and did their jobs well. This complaint is about the manager and...
Read moreA++++ food AND service! So we went for the first time on what seemed to be THE busiest night ever. EVERYWHERE. The pizzeria across from them, Pizzicletta, said our wait was only 45 min and we luckily walked into this place because we weren’t called for seating there until 2hrs later! I’m glad we found this gem! This was today, the day after Christmas and boy was it packed everywhere. It was a bit of a free for all finding a seat but it didn’t take us long to find a table. The line to order was non-stop the whole time we were there. It didn’t take long to get our food and you can see the crew working hard and quickly. There were some trip ups due to the amount of orders coming in but I’ll tell you what, I was impressed in the staff’s attention, politeness, and overall attitude. They could have easily been flustered and annoyed, but they were attentive and apologetic. Full of positive energy. The food was so good, also a surprise being that they were running orders through pretty quickly. I left a nice tip and hope others did as well and They deserve a good review. We ordered the cheese bites which was like a round cheese pizza but boy the cheese was DELICIOUS. We also had the Caesar salad, margarita pizza (not my favorite but good), and small Italian sausage pizza 🤤👍🏼. Tap beer options were good...
Read moreA, the disclaimers: 1. Wife and I are both kinda NY-style pizza fans. 2. For us, toppings are usually just trying to hide a sub-par pizza, so I order cheese and add some crushed red, just like when in Manhattan. 3. The crust is absolutely crucial - not too thin and cracker-like, not too thick and chewy. 4. The only other requirements are for cheese, sauce, and crust to be balanced and harmonious. 5. Just ordered take out since we were staying down the street and didn't want to do the whole out-to-eat thing. So the ambiance score was based on the 90 seconds or so I was inside the store.. B, the review: a solid 8.5 out of 10 on my Manhattan-replacement scale! Translation: this pizza is awesome!! The crust is sheer perfection for my tastes: crispy on the bottom, but a little chewy against the sauce. The sauce and cheese and crust were perfectly in balance, nothing overpowered anything else. Literally, the only tweak I would make for it to be a perfect 10/10 for me is just a little more zing/zest/spicy to the sauce. And the price was EXCELLENT for me - $16 and change for a large pizza of this quality is a great deal. Hopefully, I'll be back to...
