On October 8th, my daughters and I went to Powerhouse Pub to celebrate my daughter's acceptance into medical school. Unfortunately, during our visit, an upsetting incident occurred. A group of girls began laughing at my daughter who was upset/crying about a personal matter. When my older daughter confronted them, asking them why they were laughing, things escalated quickly, with one of the girls becoming aggressive, getting in my daughter's face and using profanity. She then attacked my older daughter, tearing out a significant chunk of her hair. Security intervened, expelling everyone involved. I called the police to press charges, but while we waited for the police, the security guards were dismissive and treated us poorly, even insulting my younger daughter, who was upset about her sister bleeding and being attacked. We requested to view the video footage to understand exactly what happened, but they claimed the cameras weren't working that night, which seemed questionable. Tensions escalated between the security officer and myself since he was insulting my daughters, and because of this, they banned my daughters (possibly me as well) from attending all clubs/bars with driver's license scanning.
Despite both of my daughters' attempts to contact the owner by email and phone, their calls were never returned. They even went into the bar several times to clear it up, and one of the female bartenders treated them like criminals and was extremely rude.
Having heard all this, I decided to contact the manager and see what could be done. After speaking to Eric for a few minutes, he refused to let me speak, making up a story about my kids being in a group fight, which was not true. He said they would not be removed from the list and hung up on me. I was completely stunned. I didn't even get two words in before he hung up.
It's disheartening to witness this establishment handle this situation so poorly.
In addition to filing a complaint with the BBB, I plan to investigate other ways to raise my concerns...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Powerhouse Entertainment in Folsom, CA, and I must say, it is an absolute gem conveniently located in the heart of the stunning Sutter St area. This place is undeniably the best nightclub in Sacramento, and every visit I've had here has been nothing short of extraordinary.
One of the first things that struck me about Powerhouse Entertainment is its incredible vibe. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in an atmosphere that exudes energy, excitement, and pure enjoyment. The ambiance is electric, and it's impossible not to get caught up in the infectious enthusiasm of the crowd.
Not only does Powerhouse Entertainment have an amazing vibe, but it also boasts the friendliest people you'll ever come across. The staff, particularly the bartenders, are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Whenever I'm there, they always go the extra mile to ensure I have the best experience possible. Their expertise in crafting the perfect drink is unparalleled, and my go-to Kahlua on the rocks somehow tastes even better when I have it here. It's evident that they take pride in their work, and it truly makes a difference.
What sets Powerhouse Entertainment apart from other venues is their dedication to showcasing the best bands in the area. The music they bring in is simply killer. Whether it's a local favorite or a renowned act, the talent that graces the stage never fails to impress. Each performance is a feast for the ears, and combined with their exceptional drink offerings, it creates an unforgettable experience.
I can't stress enough how important it is to support local small businesses like Powerhouse Entertainment. It's clear that they pour their heart and soul into providing top-notch entertainment and ensuring their patrons have an incredible time. So, if you're in the Folsom area or even if you're not, I highly encourage you to visit this exceptional establishment. Trust me, you won't be...
Read moreA few of us went to powerhouse celebrating my 30th birthday and my sister in law had a little too much to drink toward the end of our night. She was stumbling and having a hard time standing but she wasn't obnoxious or loud and my husband and his brother calmly were trying to keep her up and get her to a space where she could sit down. The security guards/bouncers saw this and apparently deemed my young sister in law some kind of threat and immediately started pushing her, my husband and brother in law out extremely rudely. They complied and understood being asked to leave, but it didn't need to be in the manner it was handled. Once outside my husband asked if they could have a chair and some water to allow my sister in law to sit down so she wouldn't crack her head if she fell on the asphalt. The security guards said NO and laughed it off so rudely. It was extremely unprofessional and uncalled for given that my sister in law is a young girl who got a little too drunk (many of us have been there) and was not a threat to anyone at all. After very aggressively kicking us out they could have helped with two small things when we asked but instead yelled "get off the property" and one of them even made a "squaring up" motion at my husband when my husband was doing nothing of the sort and was technically no longer on the property. We had a great night leading up to this, and the band was great, but these "security guards" spoiled all of that completely. None of what they did showed any attempt at de-escalation, and one seemed downright looking for a fight. Based on other reviews we aren't alone. We...
