Disappointed is the best way to describe our feelings about this hotel. The location was very unique and pretty, but that was about the only good part. For starters, after a long day on the road, we arrived find our showerhead was clogged and only spraying out a tiny little mist. The heater wasn't working and it was freezing in the room. Our supposedly clean towels had numerous short black hairs on them and the floor had some questionable stains. With all that said, we gave them three stars because the maintenance main who came by on our second day was very helpful and super sweet. He did fix the heater, showerhead, and brought us new towels. I'm still very let down that I paid $90/night for a trip for my best friend's birthday that had some issues making it a not-so-relaxing vacation. Finally, the hotel (restaurant) staff didn't even so much as apologize for the inconveniences; on the contrary, they seemed quite perturbed that we were calling over for assistance. Honestly, a comped night or at the very least comped meal would've been much appreciated for the high price we paid for dirty towels and appliances we...
Read moreWe booked the only dog-friendly waterfront room with a King bed (not very comfortable, even with a topper it still felt far too stiff/firm for our taste), and the staff was very polite and helpful during the booking process (we called to confirm dog-friendly). View was enjoyable, but the terribly thin walls and large family with seven children staying next door ruined our serenity.
Also worth noting that the WiFi is useless as it is not dedicated to this hotel. They ask that you use Silver’s WiFi (the seafood restaurant upstairs open for lunch and dinner). So in the mornings the WiFi is passable for email but barely serviceable for video calls or steaming video (~10mbps). Yet once the restaurant opens for lunch speeds plummet to 2-3mbps and it is as if the rooms no longer have WiFi with how slow and spotty the connection is. We had to check out early as this was a working vacation but without stable internet or a reasonably quiet room it was...hopeless.
If you don’t mind thin walls and don’t need WiFi the view from the room is one of the best for how adorable these...
Read morePenthouse was perfect for my family. It is right above The Wharf restaurant. It has a private entry to the penthouse because there is no other room on this floor. It had two bedrooms, one bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and a living room. One bedroom has a queen bed. Other bedroom has two twin beds. There is a spare twin bed that can be set up either in master bedroom or living room. One person can sleep on sofa. Both the bedrooms and a bathroom had separate heaters attached to the wall. Living room had a heater but it didn’t work. There is no A/C but they had 3 tower fans and living room had a ceiling fan which worked for us in May. Living room has two large glass windows overlooking Noyo river and Noyo bay. The view is beautiful and you can watch the sunset sitting on the sofa. The bedrooms and bathroom and kitchen and living room were super clean. It is old structure so some things will seem old but it was clean. There is no elevator so you have to climb two flights of stairs to the third floor. There is ample of free parking space in...
