Just visited the harbor for a quick bathroom break after dropping my nephew off at the boat he works at in the harbor and unloaded the supplies he needed for his next fishing trip . I give one star because it's a beautifull place however if you need to use the bathroom I suggest you hold it or find a bush because according to the Harbour master there isn't a public bathroom for people to use . I got argued with after using the bathroom. And told if I don't work on s boat my self that I can't use the bathrooms . He didn't care that I have a nephew who works on the Shirley boat and said I has no right being in the bathroom . He didn't care that my daughter was in the car . He insisted on arguing with me untill I just drove off . And did he stop there no the next trip to drop more supplies off to the boat he followed behind me and watched every move I made and drove behind me untill I was back on the hwy . Just starting at me with his head out of his truck the whole Time. Treated me like a criminal and scared my daughter . Sadly I've got to go back at least once a week . And I'm afraid he will treat me the same way every time . My daughter no longer wishes to go with me . And she used to love seeing the seals and otters. It's a pity such a beautiful place can become so ugly due to a over paid harbor Master with a rude mouth I highly advise unless you really have to . Do not go to the Harbour. Unless you like rude people. I am going to right them for an apologie . And if he keeps treating me this way I will be pressing charges . It shows on Google maps it's a public bathroom. Someone should let him know about this . I'm sure he's treated someone else...
Read more'21/11 1st time visitor/review: -- This active, unpolished fishing/recreational boat harbor is worth the drive down from the coastal highway. It's very easy to miss the entire harbor and turn off, as way down north east side of highway as pass over long, high bridge having site diverted to spectacular ocean view on west side. -- Lots to see packed into the small space: a multi-level hotel, at least 4 restaurants (some with seating on the harbor), commercial boats, recreational boats, and an off-leash dog park at the dead end (where we parked sitting in the car out of the wind eating a late afternoon picnic snack while watching the boats return from sea). -- Has potential for family outing rustic experience vs polished amusement park. That said, it is a historic (old) harbor, so vehicle space is tight and can take some navigating savvy for physically...
