This is the WORST Marriott Hotel I have ever stayed at. Husband & I are Lifetime Platinum members with Marriott, which apparently means nothing at this hotel. We needed to make a quick trip to Fort Worth and chose this hotel. We booked a king size room with a view and checked-in with the app. while driving to Fort Worth as we knew we would be arriving late. At arrival stood 15-20 minutes at front desk waiting for someone to knowledge us or come to desk to check us in. Desk check in person give us our room key and told us that our room had been giving away & we were in a room with 2 queen beds. The room had NO had soap in it, as a matter of fact there was nothing by the sink!!! The lady at counter said they usually do NOT have hand soap in the room, GROSS!!! The room had NO water. Usually there is water to make coffee in the morning, NOT this hotel so we went out and bought some bottled water. The refrigerator in the room did NOT work so we drank our warm water. In the morning we found out that there was no hair dryer in the room. One of our business associates stated that the A/C in his room did NOT work and that he was told there were no rooms to move to. The toilet in the downstairs lobby were NOT working. The lines for the breakfast was 20-30 minute wait & they had no egg whites and nobody was cleaning the tables. Not a good place. DO NOT STAY HERE. They take your money and do NOT care about you. When we booked our reservation we were told we could get late check out which we did NOT get. Pros: I place to sleep at an expensive price Cons: Bad staff, Bad food, non-working refrigerator, wrong room (reserved King given Queen), NO hand soap, NO welcome bottled water, NO hair dryer, NO late check-out, no A/C in associates room, toilet in downstairs lobby NOT working, no egg whites at breakfast. No call back from manager named Serena Ogden, serena.ogden@marriott.com 817-294-7600x7600 NO HAND SOAP OR CLEANING ANYWHERE IN THIS HOTEL. DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is gross and the...
Read moreI will keep this short but sweet. I was deployed to the Ft Worth area to assist with the coming Ice/snow storm. Upon arrival the outside was in order. There is plenty of parking spread out. Curb appeal is the first thing most observant people see.
The lobby was well kept, smelled clean…..there was a nice sweet aroma in the air. Not sure of the scent but it was pleasant. Check in was quick, friendly and easy, it was less than a 5 minute check in!!!!
Upon entering my room (101) there was a very faint, pleasant air freshener in the air. The room is a BIG ONE. Well kept, clean and it looked comfortable. The 2 TV’s we’re playing on a low volume the welcoming message from the hotel. The background music to it was nice.
The bathroom was very clean with the 3 bottles on the wall of the shower, shampoo, body wash and conditioner.
The king size bed was comfortable but the small pillows did not suffice. I asked the front desk for 3-4 more pillows. They were delivered and these pillows were actual full size pillows and firm.
The Fung Schui area in the back was very well thought out. A fire pit, waterfall, putting range and creek. It was still to cold to enjoy the fire pit and I was dead tired each day after being in heavy equipment all day!!!!
The breakfast was good. Had dinner at that cafe once since the ice shut down the city. That bistro burger and fries was pretty descent.
All in all it was a pleasant and comfortable place to stay. I would definitely stay there again with no hesitation.
I had to deduct a star simply due to the pillows. Not sure if those small pillows were accidentally left on that bed. They did not strike me as pillows a hotel would...
Read moreThis is a tough review to post, as we have had wonderful stays at this location in the past. Requested maid service 4 times—online reservation, at check-in, and 2 phone calls—for a 5-day stay. We had room 228 for 5 nights, and our daughter had room 208 for one night. Both refrigerators froze. Our soft drinks exploded, our food froze overnight, and my husband spent the better part of a morning cleaning the mess. And there is only one shared microwave in the lobby. In 228 we had maintenance defrost the fridge—no improvement. The fridge did not fit the cabinet—so the cabinet door would not close. Outdoor temps ranged from 37-80 degrees during our stay, and there appeared to be a governor on the heating and air conditioning system that made it very tough to maintain a comfortable room temperature. There were not enough linens to adequately supply the hotel. I had to go downstairs and get linens each night. The posted swimming pool hours were 6am-11pm, which would have been great had the hours been honored. The manager reported the pool opened at 8am. The hallway carpet was stained and filthy. Staff was friendly and courteous all around. When we finally did get maid service, they did a great job; I am pretty sure they have no control over how many linens are ordered. And there is simply no excuse for being unable to get on the list for daily maid service. This should be handled at check-in at the latest. The cooked to order breakfast was a plus, as well as the perpetual coffee and water service. Overall, there are many similarly priced hotels nearby, and this property needs to make some serious changes to remain viable,...
