Me and my friends decided to plan a day of fun for our kids. Between us both we brought 4 children. About an hour in we were near the zip lines and on the trampolines right by the zip line i see a wallet and 2 lighters just sitting on the trampoline!!!!!! We are at a CHILDREN'S PLACE (there were lots and lots of younger kids) i noticed a worker near by and i say "hey im not sure whos stuff that is but i dont really think its appropriate to leave that out on the trampolines as this is a kids play place" and he was like oh im not sure whos that is but ill move it. He moved it a about a foot over onto the floor still in reach of all of the kids. About 2 minutes go by and another worker walks up and the first one says "do you know whos stuff this is" and the second worker says "oh yeah its mine" and then puts his wallet and lighters back into his pocket. I was in complete shock honestly however i went about my day. When we were fixing to leave and our kids were finshing up what little time they had left before it was time to go they chose to go in the dodge ball area. They are fully aware of what the rules of dodgeball are. There was a worker in there throwing dodgeballs at the kids. Hes a grown man!!!! Hes throwing balls so hard that the ones that hit the walls we could hear from a ways away. One of our kids (6 years old) was hit hard in the face by him in his left eye, it was left really red. Then another one of our kids (7 years old) was hit in the back. My daughters back had a bright red ciricle on it. This goes to say we do understand what dodgeball is and they knew the game before entering however im not sure why a worker is throwing the balls with full force at the small children. I went to the front desk because not only one of our kids go hurt but 2 of them did. My daughter went and told the workers what was going on. Another worker came out and said he was sorry and asked if they needed ice. I said no. I explained to them what happened and also said i do understand its dodge ball but your grown man employee is throwing balls as hard as he can at these small kids. He said "yeah hes not even supposed to be playing in there". I could understand even if it were a adult customer maybe.... We would have told the kids to go play somewhere else but an EMPLOYEE is INSANE. Honestly the front desk didnt seem to care much. We got our kids and left. So sad we had a horrible experience after paying the money we did. Next time we will be looking for trampoline fun...
Read moreWanted to detail my experience at this trampoline park today with my family- I witnessed multiple safety issues while there. There are two zip lines at this location, and I learned AFTER my nephew had already ridden the zip line, that one of the zip lines was apparently broken and the attendant wasn’t supposed to let kids use one of the zip lines. I only found out because my nephew was waiting on the platform to have a second turn while two employees argued over which zip line was safe enough for him to use. It was extremely alarming, and I’m thankful that kids weren’t harmed as a result of their negligence. If a zip line is broken, there should be a sign at the very least, and employees should be informed. This could have led to a serious injury if something had gone wrong.
I was also really upset by the lack of intervention by employees at the wipeout game- my youngest nephew was told by the ride attendant/operator that he was too short to play in that particular area, which is perfectly fine! He’s too small and young and can enjoy the ride when he’s older, so we just watched my older nephew in the wipeout area. While we were watching, another young child who was obviously way too short to play in the wipeout area just walked in and started playing, with absolutely no objection by the employee. It was very obvious that this child was too young. I found myself worrying for his safety, since the employee clearly couldn’t be bothered to enforce the rules.
I could honestly go on- there were many other issues that I witnessed. I also experienced unpleasant interactions with multiple staff members who were very unhelpful and disrespectful. I understand that we sign a waiver and assume a level of risk by bringing kids to a trampoline park, and that the employees are likely young teenagers. (I don’t even place blame on them. They need to be trained and rules need to be enforced by management.) I don’t think it’s too much to ask for staff to be trained and expected to perform basic functions of their job and and enforce very basic safety procedures when working with young children. I won’t be returning to this location, and for the sake of other kids safety, I’ll be telling others about my...
Read moreMy son wanted to go here for his birthday with his friend, and we had fun when he wasn't being yelled at by the staff. I found a few of the staff members to be highly unprofessional at times. In passing, I heard one of the females talking to a patron with whom she appeared to be familiar, saying, and I quote, "You know all these damn white people are racist." Later, after hearing my son get yelled at — the only white person in the group — repeatedly, I remembered what I had heard earlier in the night. I also witnessed the staff horsing around and speaking with other adolescent males using vulgar and explicit language, which was highly inappropriate for the children present. The facility itself was fun, but some of the staff really made a bad first impression on my family and me. We went there to celebrate my son's special day, and when we left, he felt anything but special. We will not be returning to this location.
Update: I wanted to provide an update: the owner privately contacted me and appeared very troubled by the comments my family and I encountered. Interestingly, while organizing photos for Father's Day, I found a video that captured some of these disrespectful remarks. I'll be sharing this clip with the owner, hoping it assists their investigation. We clearly heard a young lady loudly say, "yeah your generation, your generation racist....", even from across the room. My boys and I had to listen to such comments and endure being yelled at for the duration of our visit. I truly hope this establishment takes the necessary steps to ensure it remains a welcoming and respectful space for all children and families. Despite these unfortunate interactions, the place offered fun moments for my kids when we weren't dealing with...
