I love Outback Steakhouse. I almost always order the Queen Victoria Filet. They offer 6 or 8 oz. filets. With the filet, I get the baked potato all the way. I absolutely always get the house salad with honey mustard dressing. It has lettuce, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, purple onion, croutons, and grated cheese. I don't know how such a simple salad can be so good. The Victoria's filet is amazing. Somehow they always cook it as requested and perfect. This last time was no exception. Sometimes I get a lobster tail or shrimp on the barbie with it and that is always good too. I have also tried the Queensland chicken and shrimp (comes with pasta), the hamburger and the signature Bloomin' onion. The pasta and burger are amazing. I'm not a big fan of the Bloomin' onion, but I know people that seem to like it a lot. My mom is crazy for Outback too. We agree that the filet and salad are great. She really likes the coconut shrimp. I don't really care for it, but only because I don't like shredded coconut. If you are wondering if the Chocolate Thunder Down Under is any good, stop wondering. It is fantastic! This last time I went I tried a new desert, since it was my birthday. It's called Thunder and Lightning. It is actually two deserts in one, and the price reflects that. It is the Chocolate Thunder Down Under plus butter cake, strawberries whip cream and ice cream. That is the picture I posted with the review. It was so crazy-good! I couldn't finish it, so I brought it home. The location i went to was on Bryant Irvin Rd in Fort Worth, but I've been to a few and they are all consistently good. It is a pricey place to eat, for me anyway. I don't get to go often, maybe a few times a year, but it is...
Read moreThis place was horrible. The host sat us, and about 20 minutes later, the waitress comes to take our drink order. Maybe 10 minutes later, brought us 1 piece of bread and our drinks, and also took our order. While trying to order our food, she interrupted us to talk to the host about not seating her again, and went back to a different table to help them. We sat there for almost 45 minutes waiting for our food. She didn't bring us any refills ever during our almost an hr and a half wait (not that we wanted anymore, the tea was horrible), and we literally only ever got the 1 piece of bread. 1.5 hrs, and all we had was bad tea, a horrible waitress, and 1 piece of bread - mind you, the bread was pretty good, but after 2 hrs, the bread was no longer good. Then we got our food. First, she got my boyfriend's order wrong, not that that really mattered, he was fine with double fries. He ordered a chicken fried steak - the steak was horrible, basically just fat and waaayyyy overcooked, it was nasty. I got chicken strips, fries and loaded mashed potatoes. Literally everything on my plate was luke warm and the fries were soggy. Everything was incredibly bland, even after I covered it all in salt. We left maybe 5 minutes after we got our food, she got a $2 tip, and we didn't finish a single thing. The worst service and food experience we've ever had. Absolutely horrible. We went straight to...
Read moreMy husband and I and 2 other couples recently dined at the Outback.l on Bryant Irvin in Ft. Worth. The atmosphere was okay; there weren't many people there at 5 pm on a Sunday. Our waiter was pretty good although we had to wait quite a bit for our entree after the salads. The other people in my party were satisfied with their meals but they said it was nothing to write home about. My meal on the other hand was horrible. I ordered the Shrimp on the Barbie appetizer as my meal. The meal looked like it had come straight out of the walk-in refrigerator, pre-made, and they just put it in the microwave or something to heat. The Shrimp were not plump at all and they had no pink color to them at all, which would signify that they were fresh. The bread, at least I think it was supposed to be some kind of bread, underneath the shrimp, was like shoe leather. In fact, this was my friend's description of it. I was trying to cut off a piece of it with my STEAK KNIFE and I couldn't even cut through it. As I was sawing away, my friend said, "what is that, shoe leather?" I should have sent it back but since my group had already waited so long for their entrees, I didn't want to hold things up anymore. Anyway, needless to say, I am very disappointed with the entire experience! I haven't been to Outback in quite some time and I assure you that I won't be going back...
