If Priceline didnt make the discounted room non refundable I would not have this problem. I did the mystery hotel choice based on the amenities i selected , which specifically was a pool, and pet friendly. After i paid for the non refundable room specifically picked for pools , i got to La Quinta only to be informed that their pool and hot tub was out of service. By the looks of it, it was out of service all summer this year . So the whole reason we came to a hotel was because it was my birthday and I wanted to swim once more before summer ended. But Didn’t happen. not really La quintas fault but it would be great if I could have known they didn’t have a pool first. I forgot to mention, Our room was broken into and over 1500 Worth of electronics and designer sunglasses were stolen. Pretty sure it was the adjoining room considering my wife talked to them and offered them 100 bucks to bring stuff back and they had someone else bring some of our stuff back. When we told the staff, they acted unconcerned, like it was kinda expected, and we asked for them to review the cameras and was rudely told cameras don't work. It was totally wrong for them to be so unconcerned about the safety of their clients property, which should have been secured in their place of business, but they really acted like we were bothering them complaining about being robbed. What kind of business does this? And who kicks out paying customers in the middle of a snow storm because they over booked the rooms? This place does... So if u don't mind getting robbed and the staff being bothered your complaining about it, come stay here.... At least until they sell your room out from under u in a snow storm... Because they overbooked the rooms... To even make it worse, we tried to get a room a few months later, they denied our reservation and said we could not stay there again.... They said we left the room messy the last time... Which didn't happen, and if it did, wouldn't they have charged our cards for damages like other hotels would do? I mean isn't it the maids job to clean normal messes in a hotel room which they never tried to come in and clean for the whole 2 weeks we stayed there? I mean, I guess emptying the trash and vacuuming the room is considered leaving the room messy and grounds to deny a Wyndham rewards Diamond members reservation? How petty is the management here.... Wow... If I were Wyndham, I'd drop this franchise for damaging their image with the shoddy things going on here with all the transients and illegal activities happening around and in the property. Trash. We also had to quarantine our luggage for a few weeks because both of us were bitten by bed bugs during our stay... Definitely don't take your bags anywhere u don't want to get an infestation of bedbugs in after your stay.. Just a heads up.

We stayed at this hotel last weekend. Great location, but the service was horrible and the cleanliness left something to be desired. Check in went smooth but when we got into our room my wife noticed the sheet on the bed looked dirty. She asked a housekeeper in the hallway for a clean sheet and we changed the bed ourselves. I stay at hotels frequently and am well aware that if room key cards are kept next to cell phones, they can be erased, so I purposely kept the key card away from my phone. On three occasions over the 4 day stay my key cards wouldn’t work and I had to have them reprogrammed. Although that was frustrating, it was the interaction with the front desk that made it worse. I finally had to ask the desk attendant to put down her personal phone that she was talking to a friend on speaker and texting, so that she could assist the guest in front of me and then get my card reprogrammed. I have included a photo of this employee as she was sitting at a table in the lobby during breakfast another day again with someone on speaker phone and playing games on her phone. While she was sitting there, I called the lobby phone to see if she would answer. It went to voicemail before she bothered tell her friend she had to go answer the phone, and get up and walk back to the desk to answer the phone.

Not sure where to start - 1) Neither Pool Nor Hottub were operational & desk clerk couldn't tell me when they would be. 2) KEY CARDS - Seriously -- Worked ONE TIME and then not ... Got re-done and they worked ONE MORE TIME, then not. Had to get them "RE-DONE" 4 times during our ONE Night stay. 3) The Sundries/Mart had EXPIRED Medications. Tried to get Sinus and Upset tummy meds but the 2 items offered were expired. Had to walk over to the gas station next door to get what we needed. 4) The breakfast available was not well thought out. Half is "hidden" behind a small wall. The half with the WAFFLES & CEREAL... I only found that part because a child was screaming over there and I looked and thought it was "bar seating" kinda thing? But nope - it was the waffles. 5) The Check-Out process was way too much for ONE PERSON to handle. There was a line... Sunday am... I ended up putting my card with my room number down and saying - CHECKING OUT ~ after 15 minutes of waiting on ONE Person ahead of me... and looking at 4 families behind me. The room was clean, except the floors. It was a bit musty, and socks were VERY dirty after walking around for just a few minutes. I usually thoroughly enjoy LaQuintas hotels but this one was disappointing and frustrating and needs help.

5/8/2025 windowsill was disgusting First day for breakfast-8:30am, all of the food trays were empty…breakfast is noted to be available until 9am. Front desk explained cook has to be reminded all throughout the morning to replenish food. Says the cook is autistic it’s the cause for the loud groaning we hear from the kitchen…as though he’s in pain. I decided to not eat breakfast as all.

Cleaning lady (gray hair, short, can’t speak English) complains to another lady with her that the clean sheets has yellow stains. She’s changes sheets out just to find the replacement sheets are stained as well. Had to wait for clean sheets

Below 5/17 9:30 am Breakfast dining area is messy, food sloppy

5/19/2021 cleaning young girl took towels, but did not leave any. I noticed then I called the front desk (male) said cleaning girl mentioned it to them and would bring more up. I called a couple hours later and front desk (female answered), said not enough people at desk and I can come to get them.

6/25/2025 request last night and this morning put in at front desk to do bed, trash, bathroom, new towels. Came back in around 11pm clean towels left on bed. Nothing else done. Spoke to a young African American guy at front desk who said “that’s now how it’s suppose to be done” but cleaners come in at 9 ton (Sunday) and they will clean.

Same night my daughters noticed mold on the side of her bed on wall.

5/23/2025 Adrian American older lady (maybe 40 or so…could be a little younger) said she couldn’t extend our room “I’m unable to do it now”. She asked if we can I try next day Saturday we stopped by desk on the way out to an personal appointment and was told by a young man that the room we want to extend is no longer available but we can move to another room. We explained we’re between homes and it’s an inconvenience as we have a lot of clothes etc. Guy said he didn’t understand why the girl didn’t extend it when we called the night before. We had to get to our appointment then decide about this room because we would have to move to another room. Frustrated, we Called corporate office to complain but lines loop then disconnects…..no one to talk with. However, the Front desk Called us back min after we left, stating the room suddenly became available.

5/28/2025 Around 4 or 5pm, I called desk to extend room, same lady said ok then got quiet, I asked “you need my card number correct?” She said it’s the card on file right? I said I’m not sure what card my daughter used, she normally pays but she’s at work. I told her I’ll be using my Wells Fargo card do you have that? She said hold on…second later, she said “oh, I’m unable to do the extension for the room (same line days prior), I’m having problem let me call you back”. I never heard from her again. I called reservations after I got off phone with her and they extended the room…no problem on their end.

Below is one of the typical response given to complaints….unbothered and could care less

“Dear Brenda, We appreciate your rating of our hotel. Thank you for being a valued guest and for providing us the feebdack regarding our hotel. On behalf of our entire staff, we thank you for choosing to stay with us and we hope you will give us a chance to serve you again. We pay too much for experiences like this

LeQuinta, keep your cut and past apologies for the judge. $80 a night is too much for poor service. Too bad some non caring people can bring down companies. If management was monitored these similar complaints m, maybe they could...

Update - The manager of the hotel contacted me prior to our check out and she personally apologized for the situation that occurred and the problems we had. She took responsibility and resolved the issue to my satisfaction. Because of this I have increased my original rating for the hotel as I feel the manager did not try to make excuses or ignore the issue, she apologized and offered a resolve.

We made reservations on the website for what was called a King Suite on the website, a room that was supposed to have a King bed and a sofa bed as well. We reserved the room 4 days ago and when we realized we would not arrive until very late on our check in day, I called and told the front desk staff that we would be a late check in but we were on our way and wanted to ensure the room we had reserved was not reassigned, we were told that would not happen and that a note was being made that we would be checking in late.

When we arrived however, we were told that they had no clean king rooms available and all they had was a double bed room. I was extremely upset over this as we made the reservations for a reason to ensure that we got the room we wanted, and I called earlier that day to ensure this as well and nothing was said about us not being able to get the room we had reserved days before. I could not understand how the room we reserved was not clean and ready for us to check in when we had made our reservation 4 days beforehand. Reluctantly we took the double room as we were tired and had no other choice.

When we arrived in the double room and prepared to go to bed, I moved one of the pillows and to my disgust there was what resembled mud or animal feces all over two pillows and on the sheet. I called the front desk and was told that I would have to come down and grab new bedding since the front desk person said she was unable to leave the desk to bring it to us. So we went down and brought the dirty bedding to show her and got clean bedding then we had to make the bed up and try to sleep on a small double bed with the lingering thought of the mess that was left and not cleaned.

When morning arrived I went to the front desk as advised by the overnight front desk staff to see what could be done about getting into the correct room we had reserved. The guy at the front desk said that they had no rooms opened but to check back at 11am and they would try to get us into the king room. I told him I did not understand how we had reservations yet our room was not ready for us to arrive and he stated that they don't actually assign or reserve rooms until you check in, so since we arrived so late we got what was left basically and that the room reserved when doing a reservation does not actually mean you get that room. What the hell?? Then what is the point of even asking for a room type when someone makes a reservation? If you are going to put them in a random room based on when they arrive instead of what reservation is made. So now we are stuck sitting here waiting until 11am in the hopes of getting into a better room instead of enjoying our vacation. This was the first stay we have had with La Quinta and this will be our last if this is the kind of treatment guests who make...
