My step dad and I decided to try a new place from the usual Mexican food restaurants we usually go to and I have to say I was not impressed. The waitress for my drink order wrong but was quick to correct it and issue an apology which was fine. We ordered guacamole after that. I didn't know it was possible to take the flavour out of that but this place somehow accomplished that. I was disappointed because I love guacamole. This is the first time I've left any. After placing our dinner orders the manager came out and apologized because there was no more rice available and it would be about a twenty minute wait. He offered us other things in compensation which was fine. He was friendly and polite. After getting our food I was eager to put the less then satisfying experiences behind us only to be disappointed once again. I am a cook myself and I can tell the difference between fresh foods and canned foods. The Enchilada Suiza I ordered sounded great on the menu. Claiming to have plum chicken so I was eager to try it. I didn't realize it meant getting chicken strait from a can warmed over. A fact I'm sure anyone can pick up on right away. My step dad ordered beef enchiladas with charro beans. The "chilli" on his enchiladas was obviously canned. Again I'm sure anyone can tell the difference. He moved on to the charro beans eager for something redeeming and thought he'd found it. He said the beans were pleasantly spicy and went for a second bite. Unfortunately he was disappointed once again. The tortilla strips were so stale it was like chewing plastic. I have never left a restaurant anything less than full and having had a delicious meal. That was not the case for this place. The only thing good about this place is the apologies the staff makes to you when something is wrong. I will not be returning here. It was a waste of time and money. I recommend you look esle where for a different Mexican restaurant. It is...
Read moreWe used to really enjoy dining at Cancun. We went there on Sunday evening and were promptly seated. They took our drink order and then we were forgotten. There was plenty of wait staff and they were not that busy. The wait staff went by our table and never glanced at us and we did not see the original person who took our drink order. After almost 30 minutes, I literally had to raise my voice and hold my arm out to get a waiters attention. He ran off to the manager who came to ask what was wrong. I explained and he left and returned with the original waiter. By that time I explained that I just wanted to pay for the drinks and leave. The manager got very huffy and stormed off. We paid and left. The only apology we received for our inconvenience was "sorry" by another lady who had waited on us the previous week.
They have great margaritas, but I doubt we will go back and be ignored and insulted by...
Read moreCancun in Ft Worth TX. Who would have thought a vacation awaits you in fine dinning with a Mexico twist. I stopped in to review this place as I hear a lot of yes"and no'. I struggled as there was a small language barrier with my server. But, Google translate came to the rescue and my meal was correct. I ordered the beef enchilada dinner it came with the traditional rice and beans, but I wanted to also try the cheese enchiladas. Was not disappointed. Cancun came through and it was delicious. I must admit the salsa was by far the greatest I have had in the DFW area. If the salsa is good you can bet the food is good. I ordered a draft bud light to go with my meal. However, it wasn't as cold as I thought it would be. None the less, I give my experience a 5 star . One recommendation to the management chili and lime on your chips. They would be out of this world. Try it! See you in...
