My kids, ages 4, 6, and 7, and I, were out collecting cans. We were near the waffle house in Longmont Colorado and one of the amazing workers took the time to walk out and ask us if we needed something to drink. I hesitated and was leaning toward saying no because that's just who I am, but then I realized that God had just provided my kids with an opportunity to see that there are good people in this world. So, we went in to get a pop. Another lady and a gentleman that worked there, treated us like Kings and Queens from the second we sat down. Within a few minutes, the Trio of Awesomeness had chocolate chip waffles and bacon in front of my kids' faces and 2 to-go containers with the same thing for my other daughter and my wife whom we were meeting down the street. You don't find people like these 3 anymore. I didn't even know what to say to them. To come out and track us down just to ask us if we're okay, and then to not take "no" for an answer when realizing that their suspicions of our situation were correct, is flat out unheard of now-a-days. And then to be treated like we were old friends by all three of them: PRICELESS!! I'm in no way exaggerating with this next statement: I've never been treated better in my entire life by a restaurant staff--regardless of the amount of money or time I've spent at any given site. May God bless the heck out of you folks. Thank you for the amazing example you showed my kids in a time of need. And thank you for buying us the delicious waffles, bacon and root beer and coke. But thank you most for being who you are and sharing that with us. I hope to be able to return the favor in the future....
Read moreWent in for some quick breakfast only to witness the most disrespectful disgusting behavior done by the staff. A woman came up to the register to only be completely mistreated by Rachel (rounder shorter older waitress) I sat very close to the whole ordeal and after being repeatedly interrupted by the visibly annoyed host words started to be exchanged. NOT only was that member of your staff (Rachel) yelling at this customer at the top of her lungs, she told her to shut up and then proceeded to make ugly remarks across the store. How unprofessional can someone be? of course once that customer left the entire staff took the time to crack jokes and make comments with customers about something that should have been deescalated rather than be the topic of conversation. Where does the line of professionalism stop? I guess when the ghetto waitress can't admit fault. She didn't try to calm the customer after interrupting her several times, she tried to puff her chest and tell her to leave even though the customer said she already paid. Absolutely disgusting behavior done by Rachel who allowed even the surrounding customers to get involved and assault the woman. If this was my store she would be gone in a heartbeat... Check your camera and see that all I have said is true! Retrain to deescalate situation not tell the customer "oh I need my job" like her only option is to fight. Throw out the trash that works there! Tell them to grow up! Couldn't eat the food after the display of lack of character I witnessed...
Read moreIf you have never been to a Waffle House, this review might encourage you to fix it. In 2022, my friend said "let's get food before our flight!" And I casually mentioned I had never been to Waffle House. Immediately, we drove to what my friend described as the "happiest place on earth" and she was not kidding.
You don't come for the food (although I am pretty sure those little blueberry nuggets are actually crack because I will wake up craving Waffle House Blueberry waffles). You come for the experience. It was 8 pm. On a Thursday. There were absolutely two dudes drunk fighting in the parking lot. A very nice woman named Sheryl took our order. She looked like she smoked cigarettes and was possibly stoned. It was amazing. She made sure I knew the blueberry waffle was extra. I didn't mind. It was a spiritual experience.
I then took my younger friends there because it is truly the happiest place on earth. My friend asked for his Waffle "well done". The nice girl waiting on us said "well I sure hope so cause uncooked got a guy thrown out last time" then asked if he wanted chocolate chips. We have gone back every concert we can.
You need to go here. It's much better...
