I must say at first I was super excited to go visit the store and spend some time shopping around but immediately that excitement turned into, not only, a total disappointment but an uncomfortably upsetting experience altogether. I went in to shop some fabric to make some blankets. Since there was no one to cut the fabric, at the moment, I decided to have a look around to see what else I might want to purchase. While doing so an employee, who was an older gentleman, informed me that I was supposed to have the fabric cut. I let him know that I knew this I was just looking around. As I'm walking away he calls over the radio that he needs security to scan the aisle that I was by. First of all I do understand that people steal and employees need to watch for this, however, I was not acting suspicious or doing anything that may have made him believe that I was doing. I could understand if he wanted to just follow me for a second to make sure I wasn't but he took it to the extreme. He looked at me and decided that I was a thief and called in for security to watch me, on camera, as well as having employees follow me around the store. But it didn't stop there. By this time I felt so uncomfortable that I couldn't even enjoy looking around anymore and I just wanted to get my items to the register and check out. Finally as I'm walking to the registers they are switching out cashier's looking at me and talking and whispering to each other, which was just extremely upsetting and discouraging to me. When I got to the register I told the cashier that I believe they treated me horribly I was not a thief and I would gladly open up my bags so they could check them. She gave me some nasty smile and shook her head, rang me up, I paid, and then I left. I never want to go back to the store again! I'm shocked and hurt by the unfair and unethical way I was treated. I will not support a store that treats customers like that and I hope people reading this review won't either. No one deserves that. Employees at Hobby Lobby you should be ashamed...
Read morePATHETIC EXPERIENCE WITH FRAMING MY ART PIECE!! Sharing my recent experience at this store with unprofessional framer SAVANA B, store manager LAURA and the entire framing department.
I trusted Hobby lobby to frame my valuable painting and unfortunately, there has been a significant oversight in the framing process that has led to the compromise of the artwork.
When I initially submitted the painting for framing, I explicitly communicated my preference for using museum glass instead of acrylic sheet for the frame. Agreeing to this, I allowed framers to go ahead with the framing process and put needles on the hand spun cloth, on which painting has been made. This preference was not only discussed in person with the representative who assisted me, but it was also documented in the order details and clearly mentioned on the bill that was provided to me. I believed that my preferences had been acknowledged and would be duly followed.
Regrettably, upon receiving the framed painting after 2 weeks, I was disheartened to discover that fibre was used instead of the requested glass, without any communication or consent. While receiving the panting the framer didn’t even mention that they used fibre. We found it out! Later on we asked them to replace it with museum glass, to which they agreed again, and asked us to come after one week. When we went back to the store again , they mentioned they can’t get the museum glass for our painting. This was an absolute disappointment for us. They not only wasted our time but compromised the art piece.
When I discussed this with the Store manager, Laura, she didn’t even appropriately addressed the issue. Till date they are withholding our painting and asking us to pay for it !
Please choose an experienced framer for your art pieces. I am never going to trust Hobby Lobby again. Very rude staff, low quality services and zero customer...
Read moreI love this store due to the variety of art supplies they offer and being an artist automatically makes a store that offers such a vast array of art supplies my best friend. However, with that being said, let me talk about the staff....I've explained in other reviews of mine that I sport many tattoos and generally carry around a back pack due to the fact that I carry around my art supplies because I never know when the urge to draw something Shiuld arise. I'm also in my mid 30s and dress in Hurley and volcom clothes and wear hats to match. I'm guessing that because of the way I dress and my tattoos and the fact I carry a back pack that I tend to get stereotyped immediately upon entering a store. Now, normally I dont mind because I can somewhat understand....to an extent. I have to draw the line at some point and that's usually when every single worker is constantly asking me if I need help and that would be great customer service except that the reason they're basically harassing me is not because they care about my needs but rather prob feel like I'm going to steal something. I can so.ewhat understand but there's gotta be a limit and you shouldn't make a customer feel like they're being harassed when all they came to do is shop. I wish there was another store that offered the same level of art supplies cause I would take my business there in a heartbeat but as for now I'm forced to be humiliated when going to shop for office...
