A housemate highly recommended the place so I tried it for breakfast since am new in town. For it's good reviews too I decided to give it a try. Ordered 2 pancakes, 2 sausages, 2 bacon, and a black coffee for less than. $16.
When coffee was served it was all over that little saucer that holds the cup and the waitress says she will bring in a napkin to dry it up. I waited patiently for her to give me the table napkin she offered to dry the spilled coffee off the saucer it was served on and I waited. Fair enough, the place was busy and she probably forgot to bring me the tissue till I actually have to ask for the napkin so I can dry the spilled coffee in the saucer or plate where it was standing as it was served that way. Table napkin came and I dried the spilled coffee and food arrive.
By the time the table napkin arrived and I dry clean the saucer so that coffee would not drip on me on my first sip, the coffee was already cold like the room temperature of the place as the air con is running.
Food was acceptable except for the pancake that is super dry. Reminds me of those old pancake that was home cooked a day before and heated in a microwave like eating a dry paper or something. The bacon and sausage is average but pretty much acceptable.
For the price I paid I thought it was fair however I didn't really realize the service would be - I hate to say it - poor from the waitress.
Let me emphasize though that the front desk or the welcome employees were pleasant, attentive and appears dedicated. The waitress probably is having a bad day coz she is giving a little attitude. I don't know the name of my waitress as she never introduced herself and just went for the kill to get my order but if I knew her name I would never reveal it too as a courtesy to her.
This place is one of those place you go to coz it was highly recommended by a local, with good reviews and because as a new person in town visiting you go where recommended places are. However, as a frequent traveler I would say this place is one of those to visit once by mistake and never come back.
It must also be said that the place is fully packed and seems very popular but does not give you a welcoming vibe or a comfort food taste and flavor like those of mom and pops owned little restaurants.
Sadly, I would not recommend the place since Greeley as a town has so many options to go to. You only go to this place if it is the only place to go for breakfast.
Lastly, the atmosphere inside was kinda lively which reflects the day Sunday and the customers who seem to be members of their own family. No doubt the place is popular for families to go to so for that maybe one can consider it if you don't mind a super dry, devoid of moist, paper like pancake. Maybe the rest of the food will compensate to it as it did mine.
You never know, maybe the waitress will be having a good day when you come in. We all have different experience you see. The risk is yours to take anyway.
If you love your perfect pancake and hot coffee for breakfast like I do, think about your decision very well coz a breakfast can make or break your day. Lol. Good day all...
Read moreI have been meaning to come in and try some food from this establishment for a while now, I was excited to try a few different menu items as a friend who works here told me the food is decent.
I arrived, and had my coffee from the human bean with me. I had just dropped a friend off for work here and decided I could have a late lunch. I was instructed to leave for having my drink with me, before even being asked if I was ordering for here or to go. I told them that I felt discriminated against for wearing raggedy clothes, and that I didnt want to throw out my $6 coffee.
The manager was about to let me sit down, when the waitress brought the owner out. Who made excuses about health departments and other things as to why he was being stingy in not letting people bring any outside drinks in. I was just going to have water like I usually do when I eat out, but instead I decided leaving this establishment and not spend any of my hard earned benjamins at an establishment that cannot...
Read moreThe food was delicious and I’d go back for lunch. But I did have a problem with the bathroom aspect of the restaurant. The sink that I used didn’t have hot water. I didn’t use the other sink because it was being used. I didn’t get to look in where the toilet was because it was being used as well. I also noticed that one of the paper towel dispensers didn’t have any in it. Shouldn’t they look into this stuff either before they open or after they close the day before they open for the public ? I didn’t have my Mom check the women’s bathroom but I think next time I will and that will give me a chance to either post another review or not.. The price I paid for my unlimited refills of lemonade was ridiculous. For the same price I should’ve gotten the orange juice but no telling if it would’ve been fresh or...
