I recently visited MonteLago Village at Lake Las Vegas, and I can’t say enough good things about this incredible destination—truly a 5-star experience! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning Mediterranean-inspired setting. The cobblestone streets, charming piazzas, and breathtaking views of the 320-acre lake against the desert mountains felt like a slice of Tuscany, just 17 miles from the Las Vegas Strip. The variety of activities here is unmatched. I loved strolling through the village, popping into boutique shops, and grabbing a delicious meal at one of the waterfront restaurants—Luna Rossa and Mimi’ & Coco’ Bistro were highlights, with fresh, flavorful dishes and a cozy vibe. Seasons Grocery was a convenient stop for snacks and essentials, and the staff there were so friendly and helpful. We rented kayaks from the marina and paddled across the serene lake, which was an absolute blast and a perfect way to enjoy the scenery. The atmosphere is both relaxing and vibrant. We caught a free lakeside concert one evening, and it was such a treat—sitting on a blanket, sipping a drink, and listening to great music under the stars. The community events, like these concerts, really bring the village to life and make you feel part of something special. Even just walking along the lakefront, taking in the views, was pure bliss—far enough from the Strip’s hustle but close enough for a quick visit if you want it. The amenities at MonteLago Village are top-notch. The resort-style pool and spa were perfect for unwinding, and the fitness center was well-equipped for a quick workout. I also appreciated the secure underground parking and the easy access to everything in the village. The staff throughout the area were attentive, warm, and clearly proud of this beautiful spot. MonteLago Village is a gem—a peaceful, luxurious retreat with endless charm and things to do. Whether you’re into water sports, dining, shopping, or just soaking in the scenery, this place has it all. I’m already planning my next trip back! Five stars without hesitation—thank you, MonteLago Village, for an...
Read moreThere were no clothes hangers in the closets. We called the front desk and were put on hold for 10 minutes. They said they would bring some hangers to the room. 2 hours later still no hangers. Another call to the front desk to be put on hold again. Finally the hangers showed up. There was ants in the room. Again we called the front desk and were told the maids would spray for the ants. We do not believe this happened since the ant problem never went away. We had to put our snacks in the microwave to keep the ants from getting to them. Our biggest complaint was the air conditioning unit. It appeared it was sized for a room 4 times the size of the unit. It cooled the room down quickly, but it sounded like a freight train coming through the room every time it came on. While on it would really blow cold air on you, which was especially bad in the bedroom. Between the noise and cold, it was very difficult to sleep. We ended up turning the thermostat way up at night since it was easier to sleep in the warmth versus noise. The unit has old CRT TV’s versus newer HD flat screen TV’s. The TV service is DISH with all movie and some sport channels blacked out. The website made it sound like the resort was self-contained with the shops and restaurants in the village. This may have been true years ago, but not now. A majority of the shops and restaurants were closed up. The village was like a ghost town. We ended up going to the Westin and the golf course club house for our meals. On a good note, the underground parking structure was really nice, keeping the car much cooler than if it was outside. Also, the room was well situated for watching the 4th of July fireworks. In summary, the quality of the resort may have been acceptable for half of what they charging, but not for...
Read moreI rated this a 3 because I was so torn. The location is exquisitely beautiful. The architecture is fantastic, as are the views. Additionally, the price is right! However, there were so many things wrong with the actual visit. We hosted our wedding party here, and had a lot of feedback. Our 3 bdrm, 3bath suite on the Viera lake side was incredible. However, The Viera Side signage was terrible, half the staff uninterested while the other half was wonderfully helpful (props to Kaniela and Mark), and the door from the parking garage 2 was giving everyone problems on entry (so you were basically stranded). most annoying is that there is no breakfast offered.
On top of it, the town is empty and feels like an eerie ghost town), the wifi was spotty, and the pool closes way too early, considering it was the only "night life".
We liked the Luna side better , but there was no one at Luna west desk ever (we didn't need anyone, so it worked out). Bottom line, until Henderson becomes more populated and the casino reopens at the resort, this place will remain a ghost town. Only stay here if you are self sufficient and looking to get away from all the hubbub, because you are sure to be left alone...
