Staycation time at Lake Las Vegas and we had brunch and dinner at Mimi & Coco' on a Saturday. Both meals went great...!
M&C Ambiance and Service: The main reason why both visits were great was because of our server "Cali". He took care of us for both meals and he was amazing. He had an upbeat, had a positive vibe and was just as energetic at dinner as he was at lunch. The elegant French bistro decor has a nice view of the lake with the huge glass windows and doors. In the evening, there was live music with a gentleman singing and playing away on his keyboard. Good stuff. The kitchen was quick with getting our dishes to the table on both visits.
M&C Lunch Special menus Caprese Sandwich: The buffalo mozzarella and sliced tomatoes were generous in portion and fresh in taste. The Peso and arugula brought more flavor. This was my perfect light sandwich lunch before hours of paddle boarding coming up. Chicken Francaise: Generous portions of chicken breast and the linguini pasta with the white wine sauce was tasty Salmon Salad: My friend took down his grilled salmon salad quickly as it was delish. Big portions of fresh salmon adorned his salad.
M&C Dinner- We were pretty full from a big lunch so we split the following Charcuterie Board: The long board was covered with cured meats and a rainbow variety of various cheeses to enjoy. We had a great time picking away at this board throughout the night with a bottle of wine. Highly recommended if you enjoy h boards like we do. Dover Sole: This fish filet was an absolute joy. The white wine sauce was such a win and again M&C brings the generous portions and freshness and quality to this dish.
We were thoroughly impressed with Mimi' & Coco's from top to bottom. The service was phenomenal and hopefully you get 'Cali' as your server. We will definitely visit again next time we're in the Lake Las Vegas...
Read moreWe went for a cozy Mother's Day lunch. We sat out on the patio overlooking the lake. It was a beautiful setting and a wonderful place to have a great meal.
For our main course we ordered the Veal, the Seafood Risotto and the Lamb Chops. All of the portions were huge, attractively prepared and absolutely delicious. The main courses ranged from $25-$55. Not cheap but I don't mind paying those kind of prices for excellent food served in a lovely setting.
For dessert the three of us ordered four different things. There were just too many interesting items to choose from. The Creme Brûlée was first rate and severed unusually with powdered sugar on top of the Bruleed sugar. The triple ice cream with chocolate shell (really a Tartufo)was very good as was the chocolate cake. We also ordered the cannoli - it was first rate. Surprisingly, the desserts were "only" around $9 each. Considering how much the main courses were they were a bargain.
It was interesting to note that the restaurant billed itself as a French Style Bistro but almost all of the desserts were Italian in origin.
I should also note that the service was excellent. The food came out quickly and the servers were very polite and efficient. In case you didn't realize:...
Read moreMy family and I visited this restaurant after walking around Lake Las Vegas late afternoon. We were ready for dinner at an early timeframe so we just ended up eating here instead of trying to research other places around the LV valley. When we walked in, we were greeted by friendly employees/servers. The place wasn't busy at all since we were there at such a very, early dinner timeframe. We ordered the Charcuterie Board, Fruit De Mer, Poulet w/Piccata Mushroom Sauce, and Saumon Au Citron and out of all of those, I feel the Charcuterie Board and Fruit De Mer entrees stood out the most. The others weren't bad at all, but can definitely say I had better-prepped salmon before. Also, I was shocked how frequent I had to ask for water refills (I'm an extreme water lover) instead of the servers automatically refilling it, especially considering how empty the restaurant was. Nonetheless, as mentioned earlier, they still were friendly! Definitely will be willing to eat here again if I'm in the area and I recommend this restaurant to others as well. By the way, the view from this restaurant is...
