We recently went to Lake las Vegas and had lunch at Luna Rossa, a charming Italian restaurant nestled in the heart of Lake Las Vegas, inside the picturesque Villa di Lago. The setting is undeniably beautiful, offering serene lakefront views that enhance the overall dining experience. If the weather is pleasant, I highly recommend asking for a table outdoors, the view and ambiance make it well worth it. Luna Rossa’s menu draws inspiration from traditional Italian cuisine, featuring a solid selection of antipasti, handmade pasta, and seafood dishes. The pastas we ordered were absolutely delicious, clearly made with care and quality ingredients. Paired with a perfectly balanced Aperol Spritz, it was a delightful way to enjoy a warm spring afternoon. However, while the food and setting were impressive, the service was inconsistent. We were attended to by three different staff members, and the experiences varied widely. The first host who greeted and seated us was dismissive and rude, seeming visibly uninterested in being there. Thankfully, our main server was friendly and accommodating, providing a much-needed contrast. Another staff member who stepped in briefly came off as rushed and disengaged. The restaurant itself could also benefit from some attention to detail. The menus were worn and a bit dirty, which detracted from the otherwise upscale vibe. Additionally, the bathrooms were in need of cleaning and maintenance, which unfortunately left a less-than-favorable impression. Overall, Luna Rossa offers great food and a stunning location, but the experience was somewhat let down by lackluster service and a need for some aesthetic upkeep. With a little polish and improved hospitality, this place could truly shine.

What a wonderful experience. I'm surprised this place doesn't have more good reviews. Right from the beginning, the atmosphere was lovely with live music and great lighting to set the mood. Service was pleasant, I always felt tended toward, and we were given time time to make our decisions and were checked on at the perfect times to make our dinner flow perfectly. We started off with an amazing appetizer to get ourselves hungry, and it was amazing. The main course was fantastic! You get plenty of food with perfectly crafted ingredients that make every bite enjoyable and delicious. I appreciated the quality of the food. It felt like it was handled specifically for flavor. Dessert was just as pleasant. They were the perfect end to our meal and left us happy and satisfied with great and balanced flavors. What tied it all together was the live music (went on a Friday night), the impeccable lighting, and the great service. As a whole experience, we spent $136 with an alcoholic drink, an appetizer, two amazing entrees, two desserts, and a tip. As a whole experience, this place was amazing! The other reviews had me a little nervous but my experience was fantastic, and the food and overall dining felt well worth the price.

To start off, we visited incredibly off-peak and on a whim after we walked over from the Westin Resort on the other side of Lake Las Vegas. It was 2:30 p.m. on a weekday in December with mid 40 degree temps. There were only a few diners in the restaurant, so we were seated right away against the patio doors with a great view onto the plaza and the lake as a backdrop. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. No daily special was offered, but that was fine. Our appetizers and main course were delicious and well presented. Portions were perfect for an Italian spot. I grabbed a glass of red sangria as it caught my eye when I entered the restaurant. It wasn't phenomenal. Pretty sweet. Almost a grape kool-aid taste. Everything else was so good it didn't matter. We skipped dessert and opted for coffee and espresso. Both were a perfect end to the meal. This little spot has great atmosphere, service, menu selection and our meals were awesome. Definitely worth your time and a great value. Two apps, two entrees, two drinks, two after dinner coffees with gratuity were under $120. Give it a shot. We will be back for sure!

It's the worst restaurant I've ever. If I could give zero stars, I'd like to do. They completely ruined my anniversary. I had to wait 1 hour for my food. No one explained or apologized to me while I waited for an hour. They threw the food plate on the table without any apology even though the food served in an hour. Even though I waited for an hour, the food was terrible. First food had no taste and other food were toooooooo salty. Especially, margherita pizza was just salt, so I couln't eat more than 1/4 slice. Also, I didn't want to eat any more because I was already angry while I was waiting for 1 hour under the neglect of servers. We ate only a slice of pizza, but I didn't even want to pack the leftovers. But my husband got a togo box. We brought home the rest of the pizza, but we didn't eat any and threw it all away. The service was terrible and the food was terrible. The price is too high for the restaurant level. I wonder if the food we had was worth $75. Only 6 pieces of ravioli and 2 shrimps and even the taste was bad and service was terrible and took 1 hour to cook. Why is it $29? Do you think this is worth it?

EAT ANYWHERE BUT HERE!! I wish we could give NEGATIVE stars. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. Made a reservation in the morning for 13 people at 8pm. We arrived at 7:45 and was told our table was not ready and that we would be seated at the time of our reservation, fine. Came back at 8pm and was told we needed to wait for a different family to finish dinner if we wanted to sit together... We decided to wait and We came back in 5 minute intervals to check on our table. At 8:20 our table was given away because we "disappeared" even though they took my phone number when I made the reservation and said they'd call us when our table was ready. JULIA stated she "did not care" and "did not have time" to make a phone call before giving our table away and we were forced to sit at two different tables. When ordering our food we were told pizza would take TWO HOURS to be made..so we made due with other options. Then our two tables food was delivered about 30/45 minutes apart... when asked for the ETA of our food we were told "when the pastas ready." Uhm okay.. at the conclusion of our meal we asked to speak to a manager to discuss our overall poor experience and that is when JULIA approached our table.

JULIA who was the hostess/manager/owner(?) was the most condescending and rude person I have ever encountered. She never once apologized, began raising her voice in front of our children and the entirety of the restaurant to tell us we were "ungrateful for everything she did for us"...which was a) seat us 20 minutes late b) give our table away c) continue to take zero accountability for the absolutely horrendous service she provided. Our original server even came up to us apologizing asking for us to come back when JULIA isn't around cause he'll take better care of us. As we were leaving she stood at the entrance of the restaurant condescendingly telling us "have a great night" then proceeded to follow us to the walkway to tell us how we "should have been appreciative" raising her voice yet again arguing and starting the entire conversation we just had with her again. Not listening to us at all and throwing an insane attitude. An owner, manager, whatever anyone in customer service would never act this way. Normally you try to hear out both sides or attempt to seem apologetic or understanding, which neither happened in this case. Other tables were commenting on how absurd the reaction of JULIA was. We will definitely NEVER be returning and advising all of our fellow Las Vegas residents to not even...

3 weeks prior to July 4th I made a reservation at this restaurant for a party of 5 at 7pm. I explained it was my Mother in law's 78th birthday and my daughters 13th birthday. The women stated normally they do not take reservations however, it was a special occasion and I had called in advance she would take it. June 30th I called to confirm the reservation and the gentleman I spoke to Alexandro stated they never take reservation and I could not have booked this at all. Confused and very upset, I explained it was an important night and could he make the exception, I was staying at the Westin Hotel and had eaten at the restaurant and wanted to celebrate this occasion. He stated he couldn't take the reservation however, if I came at 6pm and reminded him he would take care of me. In the meantime, I was still concerned my night was in limbo. I called the Concierge at the Westin and they called over and confirmed a table for us with Diego. I was thrilled. We went over to the restaurant to eat, went to the hostess station, Alexandro was there I reminded him of our conversation as well as the Westin's reservation. I was stunned to hear him say oh yes I do recall the conversation and I also understand you tried to make a reservation, I told you we don't take reservations and we have no tables for you come back in several hours and maybe we could accommodate you, in the meanest harshest tone I have ever heard. My family and I were stunned. As we walked out we saw several tables had reserved signs on them so we could not understand what it took to get a reservation. I understand policies however, when you are told you have a reservation, no you don't but I will assist, yes you have a reservation and finally seeing tons of tables marked reserve obviously there is a problem and a lack of communication. We did find another restaurant back at the Westin who made our night very special. I wrote this review on Yelp and received a reply from one of their managers trying to say we don't take reservation, however, you clearly have a problem when I was told more than once I had a reservation. And she had the nerve to say all the reserved tables were for future people waiting for tables, HA HA, people were storming out of the restaurant so angry because they were told no table were available for several hours. Get your act together and maybe create a policy or 2 to assist in your lack of any service what so ever! If the 1st women I spoke to simply stated I'm sorry we do not take any reservations what so ever, there never would have...
