I have been here once before. I was not impressed with the food then and today solidified why I will not return until the owner of this establishment hires a competent manager. We brought our french bulldog in his stroller. It was lunchtime so there was not very many people. Upon arrival we were greeted by the host and waiter who was very kind and friendly to our dog. They sat us down brought us water and chips/salsa. Shortly after the waiter informed us that their manager Ivan said no dogs allowed. This is Lake Las Vegas which every homeowner owns a dog or multiple dogs. We see owners including us with their dogs all the time. We figured we could sit out on the patio even if necessary but that was not the case. My husband then proceeded to take our dog Henry back home. On the way out my husband noticed there was no sign anywhere in the establishment indicating no pets allowed. I asked to speak to the manager and he said there’s “suppose to be a sign”. My husband went on to say that there is no sign that pets are not allowed. There is a sign that says Right to refuse service to anyone however that applies to people not pets. I asked Ivan to make an exception since we were already here and Henry was not a bother in his stroller. I asked if we could even sit out on the patio even though it was 108 degrees out and he kept repeating no dogs allowed. His tone was not only extremely condescending but lacked empathy. He obviously is not a fan of dogs. Even the other two workers acknowledged how adorable Henry was. Other patrons even greeted Henry and petted him. I asked to speak to someone above Ivan and he refused to give the number or offer any information. Clearly the employees are not aware of the no dog policy since we were seated and served. I asked if he would call the police if we didn’t leave he said no but we would not serve you. So…I guess then dogs are allowed in the restaurant? Clearly Ivan lacks management skills. As a dog lover I refuse to come here if this man is still employed. I know that good help is difficult to find these days. I do recall the previous time I was here the food was not the greatest as it lacked quality ingredients. You’re certainly not going to find organic or ethically sourced ingredients. I will give a shoutout to the wait staff as they are very kind and accommodating minus the low IQ Ivan. That is Ivan in the photos. As you can see from that smile how proud he was to be so condescending and rude to his local customers. Worst service as a manager I have ever encountered. This place left me so livid. We then drove to Boulder City and went to Totos! Totos has excellent service, clean establishment, super friendly staff and they...

We were exiting to show our friends Lake Las Vegas and going to eat to Sonrisa Grill since they were coming from out of the country and we were celebrating my birthday Even though it was a very hot day 110 😱😰 we though it was a good idea to enjoy “happy Tuesday “ and the food they have and the view at the lake When we got there felt very hot don’t know if it was worst outside or inside We had my daughter (7 months old) with us , we ask the waitress if they can put the A/C since it was extremely hot there she just answer that the A/C was not working.

we really wanted to have a good time and enjoy the live music 🎼 ( he is very good and we love to hear him play the guitar ) And eat there so we stay. The food is good we ask for a salad 🥗 and different meals My aunt ask for taco 🌮 Tuesday and it supposed to be all the tacos you want She got 2 tacos first since we don’t like to waist food , very long time for waitress to come around she ask for another taco We all finish eating and the taco never got to the table “nice”. We try to call the waitress several times nothing , finally she came around we ask her for the taco that she has been waiting for ever she answer : that’s why the other tables order like 8 tacos at a time “really😡” not even continue about the drinks if you wanted to order , by that time I was done and my birthday not fun anymore. Thanks a lot But ok of course it was a big table ask for the bill and the tip was already included in the bill . Everybody stand up and my husband went to used the bathroom when he came out he saw the A/C which it showed 82 on the screen AGAIN REALLY 😡😡😡😡😡 He put the A/C down 73 which IT WAS NOT BROKEN AT ALL as the waitress and the hostess said it was WOW , for a miracle reason started cooling the place NEVER AGAIN, WE ARE...

We needed a mid afternoon snack and margaritas after a couple of hours of paddle boarding at Lake Las Vegas on a packed Saturday afternoon...the Sonria Grill took care of us..

Sonrisa Grill Ambiance & Service: Party of 6 with no reservations, Covid 50% capacity and the amazing hostess was able to get us a table in under 10 minutes as promised. Mexican villa feel, multi-level dining area and a great view of Lake Las Vegas makes for a pleasant dining environment. There was a live DJ playing the tunes at lunch, awesome. Hugo was our server and he was fantastic. He was always checking on us and was uber friendly. We were chit chatting with him throughout our visit and it felt like he needed to be enjoying margaritas with us. Speaking of which...

Sonrisa Margaritas: I went with two blended fruity margaritas with an extra shot in each.. Mango: The Fresh mango flavor made this easy to take down. Pineapple & Coconut: This was my favorite as it was deliciously fruity, blended perfectly so I could barely taste the tequila. I definitely felt it though.

I tasted the BFFs red wine sangria and it was yummy and refreshing. Also dangerously delicious as I could barely taste the wine.

Warm chips and salsa gets you started and we never ran out of chips. We split the chicken nachos and it was fantastic. The melted white queso really brought these nachos home when paired with the fresh chicken. Overall this was so rich in flavor that we didn't finish the plate. This might be the best plate of nachos I've had in a bit.

After this experience, I'll definitely return one day for a full on meal. Sonrisa is a great stop for some great margaritas, excellent service and some good...

We went to Sonrisa last night to celebrate a birthday. Because of special dietary needs the birthday group brought their own cake. After ordering $300 of food and drinks the waiter stated that the restaurant would have to charge $3 per plate in order to eat the cake that was brought in. We were insulted and ended up leaving. I can’t imagine why they would not have disclosed this before taking the reservation. Oh I know why. Because they don’t take reservations it’s first come first serve. Like Taco Bell. I should have realized there was a problem when the first thing the waiter did was recommend a “reasonable” shot of tequila. We ordered 5. The waiter left to go get them when we realized they were $30 a shot. I get it, it’s good tequila but the waiter did describe them as reasonable. I felt misled by him. Lastly, there was a real insect issue. We counted 5 flies in our area and had to continuously swat at them to scare them away from the food. I can’t even imagine what they must go through in the kitchen. Bottom line. This restaurant must only serve tourists. Because I can’t imagine being a local and really felling like your patronage is really appreciated here. I recommend you steer clear of Sonrisa and opt for a better dining experience somewhere else.

“I recently dined at Lake Las Vegas Sonrisa Mexican Grill and was thoroughly impressed! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance felt vibrant and inviting. The service was exceptional, with staff members who were not only attentive but also genuinely passionate about the cuisine they were serving. The menu offered a wide array of authentic Mexican dishes, each bursting with flavor and freshness. I particularly loved their sizzling fajitas – perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, ensuring a satisfying meal. Moreover, the restaurant had a delightful touch of authenticity in its decor and music, enhancing the overall dining experience. The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served. Overall, Lake Las Vegas Sonrisa Mexican Grill exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine served in a welcoming atmosphere. I can’t wait to return!”
