Sea Side Villa Complex — Local services in Hilton Head Island

|We were very happy with this Villa complex. First time we rented a condo/villa, we usually book a hotel or resort. Location was perfect, forest beach/ Coligny Beach area. Great location to walk to many shops and restaurants and ride your bikes as well. The complex was older but very nice. Our room was very clean and we loved it. Great for two people, any more would be crowded, the bathroom was quite small. Decor was so beachy and adorable. They definitely paid attention to detail! White shiplap and great wall decor and calming blue accents. We rented off vrbo which we've never done before. The owners were so kind to us and helpful and also had a bottle of wine and M&Ms waiting for us upon arrival. We had beach view if you walked out on balcony and looked to the right. This is a decent, affordable option for solo traveler or couple who want to be on the beach. My husband and I have stayed here three times now, in three different units and each has been fine. The buildings are a little worn and there is only one elevator per building; consider that if mobility is an issue. All the units are small, almost like studio apartments. Check the reviews and ask questions about the things that matter to you: cleanliness, mattress condition, bath and kitchen upgrades, etc. We like to get a unit that is higher and closer to the beach. Because most of the units have room air conditioners only in front room, I would be concerned about comfort of sleeping during warm weather months. We stayed in unit 237. It was not a very nice place and the tv’s didn’t work, there were no linens for the sofa pull out and all it had was a nasty mattress cover. My daughter had to sleep on beach towels , the vertical blinds had broken and missing panels. The furniture was stained and looked horrible. My grand daughter could not sleep on the top bunk because there was no rail and the one that was there was broken and to big. We contacted Vacasa Tuesday afternoon and again at 8:30 Wednesday morning and told them all the issues and also gave them permission to come in if we weren’t there. At 6:00 pm we called again and was assured they would be out, they never showed. We did enjoy the area and will probably stay at Seaside Villas again, definitely not in unit...
