I resonate with lot of the other reviews. The restaurant is busy and it takes lot of time to get seated. The food was ok. I have had better Thai food. The chicken is flavorless and chewy in the fried rice. They just boiled it in the water and dumped it on the fried rice. As many reviewers mentioned their 3/5 spice level is super spicy. Its equal to 5/5 at other Thai restaurants. If you cannot handle spicy food, go with spice level 1. They add 20% service charge automatically. The food is very pricey and the service charge makes it even worse. The worse part is, they add the service charge on the tax. This is very deceiving and they must be reported to the taxing authority. I called the restaurant manager about it. She said they only add service charge for large party. But we are only two. Then she said it is upto the servers discretion. She also mentioned that the software automatically adds the service tax on the total including tax but not before. She will pass on the feedback to the management. Based on the other reviews, they knew this shady practice but don't want to correct it. On top of the service tax there is a line item for tip as well. The server did not mention about the automatic service charge which is a common practice is in such restaurants. The place is very crowded and the tables are too small with loud music. With such ambiance I don't think they deserve automatic 20% service charge for all customers.

We dined as a party of 5 when we traveled to Yellowstone National Park from San Jose. We took a day to drive to Grand Teton national park and then exited the park to dine at Teton Thai. We reached there around 2:30 and got ourselves a table outside. The place outside was really pleasant on a June afternoon. We ordered a plate of wontons as the appetizer which were delicious. For the main course, we ordered the beef noodle soup, pad Thai with chicken, basil fried rice with shrimp and the masaman curry with pork. The spice level was quite spot on as expected from a Thai restaurant while some might find it a tad spicy. The Mai Tai was also great. The service was also quite fast and prompt and very reasonable portion size. The food tasted amazing and exquisite. It was a great experience finding a good Thai place near the Yellowstone Grand Teton area. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant.

OVERALL: Excellent Thai restaurant on an absolute scale, not just "good for Wyoming". I've been to plenty of Thai places and this one can compete with the best. Surprising! ATMOSPHERE: Nice outdoor space made it a pleasant dinner experience in the warm evenings of Teton Village in the summer. FOOD: Pad Woon Sen (5 out of 5): I know everybody's Thai GO-TO are pad thai and pad see ew, but try something new! This dish was excellent, with thin glass noodles with protein and vegetables. Green Curry (4 out of 5): Very good green curry, pretty standard and nothing different than other green curries, but very good nonetheless. Fried Dumpling appetizers (5 out of 5): Crispy fried dumplings with a really good sauce. SERVICE: Pretty much everyone in all of Jackson Hole and Grand Tetons is super friendly. Service here was great.

Very poor customer treatment and service - Last night after a 12 hour day In Yellowstone National Park, our family needed dinner. We had heard how good food was from Teton Thai in Teton Village and wanted to support a local business. Our experience at the restaurant was completely unexpected and honestly I have never been treated so poorly as a customer -ever. We started calling around 5:30pm to place our dinner order and no one picked up the phone until about an hour later to which I was told they were slammed and to call back. Instead of calling back, we asked our bus driver to drop us off to place our take out order in person. I was told then it would be a two hour wait. People next to me got their food 45 min faster than they were originally told so we placed our order hoping the same would be true for us. We had a big order for 23 people so we were prepared to wait.

I think the restaurant must really want a limited amount of business because our $30pp + takeout order we spent two hours waiting for was treated like Teton Thai had done us a huge favor (I thought restaurants were in the business of feeding people?) with not one expression of appreciation for our business. During our two hour wait, my husband went to the hostess stand one time. He asked for a takeout order status update, and was told rudely, “it has not been two hours yet” to which my husband said, “it is okay that I asked, right?” We continued to wait another hour politely off to the side. When our takeout order was ready, we paid our bill and our takeout food order was held hostage. A manager came out and shouted at my husband for questioning what he was being asked to pay for a second 10% takeout service fee. The manager confrontationally shouted that he was most certainly charging us an additional 10% fee and we must hand back over our credit card again if we wanted to get our food. He said it was required because the “ five cooks in the kitchen had been working hard all night.” My husband was asking because we did nit receive any service. We were within feet of the hostess station and no one offered us a glass of water, asked how we were doing, thanked us for our patience and for choosing them for our family’s dinner, etc. . Despite the tasty overly priced food, we recommend that everyone stay clear of this restaurant. We will never spend another penny at Teton Thai and warn any future takeout customer especially if you are...

Considering its great reputation I was flabbergasted. There are lots of choices for great food in Jackson and even Thai in Jackson. SKIP TETON THAI. At $110 per person it was not what we expected given the service and portion size though the taste was pretty good. There are other Thai restaurants in Jackson that are better, two of them in downtown. Teton Thai gets a generous 3 stars for food from me but negative stars for service--amongst the worst anywhere--(seemed honestly like a bunch of bratty entitled kids who knew they were getting a guaranteed 20% so why bother. Ewwww) Spicy margarita was delicious in my opinion but beware if you do not like spice--I love spice and it was almost too much for me which has happened almost never so if you are sensitive do not order this. Spice level on food seemed pretty accurate. Dumplings were delicious. Super offended by the fact that they charge a mandatory 20% on food AND ALCOHOL. As a former server I am happy to pay 20% at a minimum for good service but this place had some of the worst service ever. I doubt the owners know how offensive their servers and managers are. We actually complained about adding 20% service to the food INCLUDING the bar bill (not standard industry practice for the bar bill and seems like a money grab) and the fact that the service was mediocre to surly and the restaurant was not even full when we were there. The response from the server/manager was "too bad, that's what we state on our menu.If you don't like it then leave". I kid you not, we were pretty shocked too. Bartender was overworked but did a good job with a smile on his face. We mostly stuck to bottled wine to keep it simple (decent selections) but even that took forever. The kitchen apparently has only 3 people in it and the quality of the food was a refection of that. Maybe this place used to be good in prior years but our experience at dinner Sept 2022 puts it on the bottom of the list for Jackson and not worthy of its past stars by a long shot. My recommendation? Look at the dates of the reviews and listen to the recent ones.... if they improve in 2023 then give it a go. 2022 sure has been a big slip for them. It used to be amazing. Maybe if they improve their staff and get a good manager. Otherwise, skip it and be glad you...

Worst experience. The skinny white guy with long hair who had a supervisor role here was extremely rude and arrogant. The host was not being transparent.

I never left a bad review for a restaurant for long wait. It happens. We understand. I don't leave a bad review for a restaurant for anything. But the people who run this place are straight up rude and dishonest. Anyone in our situation would be frustrated at least.

We were the first party to wait for dining in when we arrived. The host promised us an inside table was "being cleaned out". We didn't even demand to sit inside but naively believed his words. By the time we realized that's a lie all the outside tables were taken. During our wait the skinny white guy came out, glanced at us and told the host to give a table inside to a white couple who arrived after us. We assumed that's the table the host promised us but it's normally a table for 2 and too crowded for us. Yes we would understand that, if either one of them could be more direct to us at this point. Instead the host continued to promise us we'd be seated in "5 minutes". After at least 40 minutes of waiting, we asked the host again what was going on, the skinny white dude next to him verbally told the host not to get beat up by us. Oh yeah, instead of saying a simple "sorry for the wait" to us, who have been misled and waited with starving children, this guy tried to comfort the host acting like we were not being nice to them. By the time (almost an hour since we arrived) a table was finally emptied out, we tried to confirm with the skinny white guy if that's for us, he just walked past and completely ignored us.

Not sure if this skinny white dude was the same one who replied to another bad review here with "LOL" in the end. The level of unprofessionalism is beyond imagination. This place would not last for months in any bigger town with more than one similar...
