19 of our residents from Swan Pointe went to el Corporal tonight. We had such a great time talking and laughing. Then everyone started pouring over the very extensive menu. I don’t think anybody chose the same thing. There was Chicken Fajitas, Chicken Burrito Especial, Steak Burrito Especial (These were as big as your head!! lol) a Taco Salad, Combo 1, Combo 2, Combo 3, Combo 4, Tacos, Chicken Tenders, and more!! Lots of Margaritas were ordered! It was really wonderful food. I had the Steak Burrito Especial. It had strips of steak, rice and beans. It also had lettuce and onions, which I had held on mine. It was topped with creamy white Queso. It was so quiet when everyone started eating. I think you can guess, the food was delicious! Our server was Anna and she did a terrific job getting around the table and getting everyone’s drink order. Then she went and brought the drinks back to the table. I think she got every one of the drinks to the correct person. Next she took the food order. Like I said, there were 19 people and almost every order was different. It was a bit confusing when other staff was passing out food, but Anna came and helped get everyone’s food to the correct person. She really did a good job and stayed busy keeping everyone’s glasses filled. Passing out the checks was a snap for Anna. She did a 5 Star job! El Caporal is in a small neighborhood center on Blankenbaker and it was a warm, cozy place. There was a good amount of people there and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The owner Luis Angeles was there. He was very welcoming and helpful. He assisted Anna with bringing drinks to the table, food to the table and of course, ringing out customers’ checks. I recently visited El Caporal Mexican Restaurant and was blown away by the incredible dining experience. From the moment I walked in, the friendly and attentive staff made me feel right at home. I ordered a delicious meal and a margarita, and both exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely amazing, bursting with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. The margarita was the perfect accompaniment, refreshing and expertly crafted.

What truly set El Caporal apart was the outstanding customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was top-notch. They were attentive, accommodating, and always had a smile on their faces. It was clear that they truly cared about providing excellent service and making sure that every guest felt welcomed and satisfied.

I started going to this restaurant occasionally during lunch when I worked in the bluegrass industrial park area. The food was always fresh, service was always excellent, and I was always in and out and back to work in no time. I decided to bring my family here for dinner because lunch was so good and nobody was disappointed. The food here is always fresh. Never tastes old. The service is always fabulous. There is not a single waiter or waitress that I would ever complain about. Most Friday nights have become El Caporal night, and we look forward to visiting. At least half of the people we see come through the door every visit are regulars. You can't have bad food and poor service and have constant regulars. Obviously, nothing is always perfect, and people do have bad days, but I wonder if the bad reviews have more to do with the attitude of the reviewer than issues with the restaurant or its staff.
