Unfortunately, our last night of the trip was spoiled by this hotel. The property feels old and not well maintained — the room smelled musty and the air conditioner was extremely noisy, making it impossible to sleep. We had to turn it off, but then the room became stuffy. I tried to open the window for fresh air, but it was screwed shut. The bathroom and shower stall are very small, and the room doors face directly onto the main road. Every time a loud truck passed by, we woke up immediately. For $161 a night, compared to the previous hotel in Hurricane for $100, this was a big disappointment. All the positive emotions from our trip were ruined by this last night. Thank you for your response. I would like to clarify why we did not go back to the front desk after check-in. People who have spent the entire day hiking in the mountains do not plan to make additional arrangements once they have already unloaded their belongings, changed clothes, and prepared for rest. At that moment, the only desire was to have dinner quickly and get some sleep before the next day — especially since this was the last night of our trip, and we were simply looking forward to resting and going home.
Instead of acknowledging these issues with your service (I truly hope you will fix the air conditioner and window), your reply puts the responsibility on us for not complaining. I believe a hotel should ensure that even its “basic” rooms provide guests with a comfortable night’s sleep. Unfortunately, that was not the case, and it left us very...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stayed at the Canyons Lodge for a special girls weekend in Kanab, and while the experience had some ups and downs, I’m giving this five stars because of the amazing service we received.
The lodge is the sister property to the Canyons Boutique Hotel, which I absolutely loved when we stayed there two years ago. While the Lodge has a cozy charm, just be aware that the walls are a bit thinner here—you can hear quite a bit from neighboring rooms and upstairs guests. The noise made the first night tough (I barely got 3 hours of sleep), but here's where things turned around: Travis, the owner, was absolutely incredible.
As soon as we brought up our concerns, he went above and beyond to help us feel heard and taken care of. His kindness, warmth, and overall energy made such a difference in our stay. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests and wants everyone to have a great experience. He truly has an infectious, uplifting vibe that stayed with me long after we left.
Would I stay again? Yes—next time I’d probably opt for the Boutique Hotel, just for a quieter night’s sleep. But I’d come back in a heartbeat just to see Travis again. He is a gem of a human and made our visit feel personal and special. Thank...
Read moreI almost don't want to write this review. Service was perfect, Joy even walked me to my room and showed me where the ice machine was along the way. Felt like I was in the 50's when service mattered. Personal welcome card on the bed. Don't get no better then that! USB and outlets right on the bedside table. Even more expensive places don't offer this necessity. comfy robes, so very nice. Very good supply of free toiletries in the bathroom, just gives a warm fuzzy feeling. However, that is were the warm part starts to fade. The shower temp was luke warm at best. A comfortable bed and warm shower is about all I really need in a room and this just failed. Perhaps this was a one time deal. Hence my dilemma... that is normally a deal breaker but everything else was so top notch, through the roof. Breakfast was $10 and, to be honest, was not all that great. I do think $10 will get you more at Wendy's. Hence while I went only 1 day and not my 2nd. I'm rating this 4 stars mainly because everything else was so... well, perfect. If you get a room with good hot water and skip the breakfast, you are looking at one of the best...
