My family and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during Christmas 2021. The main reason I picked this hotel was because it has an extra sofa bed in the room. My kids don’t like to share beds, so the sofa bed would have been perfect. But after we checked in we found out that the sofa bed was really old and uncomfortable. Whenever my son rolled during the night, the sofa made loud noises that kept us awake.
But the main reason I left this review is another disgusting matter. When I went through my credit card statement a few days ago I found out that this hotel charged me $50 extra. I was confused and called them. They told me that it was the charge for two pillows missing from our room! What??? Are they accusing us of stealing their old used pillows? We packed light whenever we travel by air nowadays. So each of us just had a small carry-on during this 11-day trip. There’s no way we can fit anything more in our luggages, let alone 2 big pillows! Also, we stayed another week in Las Vegas to celebrate the new year after leaving this hotel. Are they saying that there are no pillows in the resorts on Las Vegas strip so we had to steal their pillows?? So ridiculous and unacceptable! Check your surveillance camera!
We travel a lot and have stayed at different kinds of hotels. This is the first time in my life that a hotel accused me of stealing something! Pillows, can you imagine? Not one but two! Why not 4 so you can charge me $100 !! Their employees kept telling me that their manager would call me to get it resolved. Guest what? It’s been 3 days since the first time I contacted them and I haven’t got any calls back from their manager as promised. I’m demanding a full refund and a proper apology.
I don’t know if this is their ‘standard’ practice, by charging their guests more in the hope that no one will examine their credit card statements carefully. Then, if you do see the extra charge and call them, they’ll just give you an excuse that something was missing from the room you stayed. If I hadn't looked closely at my credit card statement, I wouldn’t have noticed that they charged me the extra money. Next time when I come to visit my beloved Zion National park, I will definitely skip this hotel. Be careful my...
Read moreWe booked the Comfort Suites for a single night stay. Called the hotel and spoke to “Australia” or “Angela” the morning of the booking and she confirmed that the rooms had a bathtub which my wife needed for a medical reason.
After we checked in we found there was no bathtub. Not a huge problem so I went to the front desk and spoke to the nice gentleman and explained the issue. He informed that no rooms had bathtubs and called his boss to see what to do. This interaction brings me to the reason for the review.
The manager “Andreas” proceeded to scream at the front desk employee for about 5 minutes with me standing there next to him. He degraded him, spoke down to him, and repeatedly yelled over him. The gentleman at the front desk looked scared the entire time he was on the phone and was visibly upset at the end of the conversation. Finally I was handed the phone but to find out Mr big and scary refused to speak with me. So his wife took over, and accused me of never calling and saying that I spoke to someone somewhere else in the world. Even tho the poor front desk employee had the call records and I did call. Then she asked what I wanted to do sense now they do have rooms with a tub, but a lower tier room which I’m now going to need to pay an extra $20 for our “upgrade.” I informed her that I’m not paying anything, this wasn’t my fault and I should just be moved. I told her that I heard everything that her husband said on the phone, even asking repeatedly if he was on speaker so he could continue yelling at the poor kid. At this point I was told they are processing my refund and to leave the hotel.
I didn’t leave immediately and sat in the room finishing my lunch and packing our bags. Then the manager Juan or Andreas starts calling and yelling at me even further that I leave now or they call the cops.
To the mangers and owner of this hotel…
How can you justify treating an employee like this? How can you call yourself a “man” but continually degrade and talk down to everyone around you? Character is a really important thing to have, both of you are severely lacking in every aspect. I reallllllly hope any future employee of yours reads this and walks away before ever being subjected to this...
Read moreThis was awful! First problem was the air conditioning did not work. This was during triple digit temperature days in southern Utah. We could not get it below 79 degrees in our room. We kept the curtains closed but that sucked too. We went down to the desk and told the kid working but he was actually kind of rude and basically told us there was nothing they were going to do about it. The second problem was housekeeping. They would come after dinner to clean the rooms. That is when people are back in their rooms so our room was not getting cleaned. I don’t know why they could not clean during the day when everyone was out for the day. We had wet towels and garbage piling up since they were not cleaning. The third problem was the breakfasts. There was hardly any selection. There was 2 kinds of bread and 1 pastry. You had 2 kinds of waffle mix but they were not labeled so it was a surprise what you got each morning. There were 3 kinds of cereal but the milk was not labeled so people were eating it plain. I even watched an Asian guy put waffle batter on his cereal because nothing was labeled. The juice machine was broken every morning except 1. They said it had been a problem but the did nothing to compensate for it being broken. This meant that the people who did not drink coffee did not have any other options. My daughter went up to the room to get a water to have with her breakfast. The eggs were really weird. They had 1 meat each day which alternated between sausage and bacon. The other thing available was mixed frozen veggies. I’m not sure why that would be served with breakfast. The last issue was the pool. They had 5 regular chairs and 1 table. There were no lounge chairs or places for all the people to sit who were not swimming. That sucked for me to have to sit in the hot sun on pavement while my daughter swam. We have had good experiences at other locations so I am not sure why this one was so bad. I will not make this...
