Kanab Creek Bakery was a real gem that we stumbled upon during our road trip to Arizona and Utah. My family and I were on a trip to take in the grand views and hikes that the state had to offer, and we were not disappointed. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and my wife was in awe every second. However, one of the highlights of the trip was the little bakery we found in the middle of nowhere.
At first, I didn't expect much from this small establishment, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The vegetarian dishes, omelette, quiche and dessert were all some of the best we had ever had. The drinks were great too, and the service was top-notch. We were able to find seats easily and the other patrons were also friendly.
In addition to the great food, the bakery itself was charming and inviting. It had a cozy, rustic feel that added to the overall experience. We were able to relax and enjoy our meals while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
Overall, I highly recommend Kanab Creek Bakery to anyone visiting Arizona and Utah. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. It was a great break from the hustle and bustle of our road trip, and it truly made our trip even more special.
In terms of the vast beauty of Utah and Arizona, it was truly spectacular. From the red rocks of Sedona to the winding canyons of the Grand Canyon, the state offers an incredible array of natural wonders. Each view was more breathtaking than the last and it was hard not to be in awe of the stunning landscapes. The hikes were also challenging but rewarding with the views from the top. It was a trip of a lifetime and we can't wait to go back and explore more of...
Read moreThis was a last minute decision as we were heading out of town. Last few times we have been through town they were closed I believe it was on Sundays. Any who...there was one (1) salted caramel pastry left and my husband and I thought it looked so scrumptious we decided to buy it and share it. So...since I completely forgot to take a picture I am going to do my best to describe it. It was a 2x2 square, the lightest, yet very well compacted, buttery biscotti or Graham cracker type of crust. Then inside the crust was a caramel sauce but a tad thicker with a golden sweet rich flavor that makes your palate sing. For our second choice to share we were recommended to try the lemon meringue. The crust of the shell was so well put together it flaked in all the right places. Talk about tenderness in your mouth. The filling was a sweet, tart creamy consistency with the rich flavor of lemons. On top of the lemon filling was a beautiful meringue so light and fluffy it was like a cloud or what I would imagine a cloud would feel like on my tongue. A beautiful torched meringue inviting us to partake in it's deliciousness. Overall this is a place we plan on revisiting, not only, how well the food is plated and presented but the flavor spoke volumes. Definitely not just a pretty pastry. This is a must go to when in town. So far my husband and I have two (2) places we visit consistently now we will be adding this place...
Read moreVisited 4/22 @ 10:15 am. So the rating for the food is closer to 4.5 but I should've paid better attention to previous reviews about service. From the cashier to the food runners/owners? The whole vibe was unpleasant, as if they genuinely did not enjoy or know who was supposed to be doing what. It's a classic case of a break down in communication and lack of a cohesive system. We could even hear them yelling back and forth to one another to try to figure out if they were going to use numbers or names for people's orders. We didn't receive our cup for coffee or pastry while at the register so we had to ask for both. I actually didn't get my pastry till the end of our meal, even after I asked the food runners to grab it for me. There was a kind, interactive man running around seemingly trying to keep up spirits but overall, it felt frantic and frustrated. If that bothers you or if you're in a hurry, then don't bother. If that doesn't stress you out and you just want delicious food, then just ignore it. My Croque Madame ($8) and Belgian Mocha ($4.5) were incredible and fairly priced. My husband's Old World Kitchen Sink was good but priced too high at $13. This could have been an off day and likely could have been due to register/Square issues so I think the food still...
