This hotel was not only over-priced and the room was not fully cleaned but they also had some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced..
Let's start with the room.. First of all, after a long trip, the first thing I have to do is use the restroom :) As soon as i walked into the bathroom in our hotel room I noticed several balls of black hair in each of the corners (I have blonde hair). There was also a pink ring of mold around the top lip of the shower where it had not been properly cleaned in some time.. They did not offer a turn down service and for 3 days (2 nights) did not make our beds or even bring in clean towels.
Second, we were visiting Kanab for a yearly Greyhound meet up so we brought 2 dogs. We booked the room through a travel site online and after spending our first night in the room, the person at the front desk casually informed us that they had a $150.00 per night fee for pets. The website said nothing regarding this fee (we looked thoroughly) and the person at the counter was very condescending and rude when we tried to explain that we were not going to pay a fee we didn't know about. ESPECIALLY when they notified us AFTER we had stayed in the room. She wanted us to meet with the hotel manager but he was never available when we went in to speak with him. Instead, they merely ignored us and charged the credit card on file for the un-agreed upon charges. They were not helpful and unapologetic to the miscommunication that was very clearly their fault. The front desk person claimed that she discussed the fees with us at check in but when she showed us the paperwork that "clearly" stated this information, it turns out she had never had us sign that particular form. And they sneakily charged us anyway.
Overall, this was a very disrespectful and untidy establishment and I will never be giving them my business again in the future. Also, I highly advise others to stay far away as well..

Read moreI’m actually shocked to read positive reviews. My experience started with the hotel manager. I approached him at his desk to check in. He was on his cell phone, continuing his conversation, then unknown to me began talking to me with his phone still to his ear. He was visibly upset that I didn’t immediately reply, as I thought he was still taking into his phone. Next, I asked about the very small, dirty “breakfast” corner in the lobby. He informed me that breakfast isn’t offered anymore because of covid, but it was okay that his website gave misinformation saying that continental breakfast was included because I got a “good” price on the hotel. My kids even walked away scared at the managers aggression. Problem, the manager and company knowingly lead people to stay at their hotel with false advertisement. On top of that, the manager was extremely rude and argumentative. Next, the hotel room is small, and the tv has a volume regulator to keep the volume very quiet…almost unwatchable. The pool was visibly dirty with several bugs playing in the water. Luckily the jacuzzi was large and became our saving grace. The hotel grounds had mattresses, broken tables and broken chairs laying around in the parking lot, obviously waiting to be trashed; but it looked trashy. Overall, I will never pay another $85 dollars to stay in a Rodeway Inn. I’ll happily give my money to a company with cleaner amenities, nicer staff, and true...
Read moreI arrived at the Rodeway Inn in Kanab at 11 p.m. I walked to the door of the lobby to find a message stating that I had to drive back around the corner to the Comfort Suites hotel to check in. At the Comfort Suites, I was told that I was going to have to wait 15 minutes for my "keys to be made" and that there were already two other parties waiting to check in to the Rodeway Inn that were waiting for keys to be made as well. 15 minutes later a guy shows up with a stack of key cards that I guess were "made" back at the Rodeway Inn. I then had to wait for the other 2 parties ahead of me to check in before I was finally able to do so. The whole check in process took over 30 minutes.
After finally checking in, we climbed the stairs to our room to find a housekeeping cleaning cart right in front of our door on the opposite side of the narrow walkway. We kind of had to maneuver our luggage around the cart into our room. It seems quite unprofessional to just leave a housekeeping cart out in the open 24 hours a day (don't they clean the rooms in the morning?). It's even more unprofessional to just leave the cart sitting right in front of a guest's hotel room.
We just wanted a place to get some sleep before rising early to drive to the Grand Canyon the following morning. The room was fine for the money we paid. However, I'm not sure I would book this hotel again given how incompetent the check in...
