So the park itself is really fantastic. We really love the circular sort of layout and the way that you could pretty much see every area of the park from any area that you’re sitting for your children are always within your view. The only suggestion is for some awnings over the park benches And for an awning near the splash pad and more seating by the splash pad benches. There’s very little seating over there and very little shade. It would be really nice for parents watching their kids at the splash pad especially parents are very young children to have a place to sit like some picnic tables or something over in that Area. And then the bunches that surround the place structure are rarely in shade maybe for like an hour first thing in the morning, but all afternoon they’re in full sun, and it is really difficult to sit and watch your children from metal benches in full sign in southern Utah! So awnings for the benches and an awning and more seating by the splash pad, but we love every other aspect of this park! Including the proximity to the pool and the proximity to the parking lot and the big open field and the lovely little desert garden and the biking paths and all of the covered picnic areas that are sort of up by the basketball courts and stuff and we drive all the way from Page Arizona to enjoy this park which is over an hour, there’s always plenty of parking and there’s a water fountain where you can refill your water bottles which is also really fantastic. It would be nice if there is maybe some vending machines for snack or drink options that are not inside the pool area and then like I mentioned earlier the Awnings over the...
Read moreWe stopped here on our way from Utah County to Phoenix area and my kids loved it! I wanted to find a place where my little crawling daughter could get her energy out and crawl around and this was the perfect place! The weather was really great, there is a good amount of shade, great grassy area, fun playground, the splash pad is behind the little water shed thing (there is a big white button on the back of that that you can push to turn on the splash pad water), and there is a pool. I think the pool is part of the park but you have to pay for it. It wasn't busy when we went on a Monday afternoon and it seemed family-friendly. Lots of pavilion space. The bathrooms were also great for a park bathroom! Clean and there was soap in the dispensers. My only complaint is how much the water splashes everywhere when you...
Read moreWhoever designed this place needs to win an award! We always have an amazing time at Jacob Hamblin Park in Kanab, UT! The park is stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I appreciate the variety of activities available and the shaded picnicking. The playground was a hit with the kids, and the barbecue grills made for a fun and delicious cookout. The park was also conveniently located near many attractions, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. Overall, I highly recommend Jacob Hamblin Park to anyone looking for a beautiful and enjoyable outdoor experience in Kanab. Thank you, Jacob Hamblin Park, for the best 4th...
