Stop looking and just book this place already! We did a long term stay here for two weeks while teleworking and recereating and it was amazing!
The location is walkable to restaurants, the wave lottery, and right on the main strip through town.
The Internet is more than sufficient for two people to take video calls and VPN (80Mbps DOWN/10Mbps UP)
It's such a cute place with a clean design. Loved the mattress. Free laundry was awesome (BYO detergent). Enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit in the evening.
The sound doesn't travel through the walls which is awesome, you'll hear doors shutting in the morning but no voices or TV through the walls, it's way better than a hotel in that regard.
The owners were super great about letting us do our own thing since we were there literally all day working and coordinating when to do sheet and towel changes. When they came to freshen up our room mid week they went way above and beyond and deep cleaned everything and basically reset it for a new guest, we were super impressed.
We enjoyed cooking here since they had all the basics you would need and it's such a great value. We'll definitely be recommending this place to others.
We've done many long term stays and this definitely one of the most affordable and nicest places we've stayed.
John came by and gave us great tips for area and we loved chatting with him. Crystal was super quick to respond to any questions we had. You can tell they care alot about their guests having a great experience with them.
Again, if you’re looking to stay in Kanab this is THE...
Read moreBad bad bad. Checked in and even though there’s a full refrigerator there’s no ice! No trays. No machine. After driving all day they told me to go buy some across the street! Tried to park after dinner by my room. I’ve got a state disability parking permit but it turns out there’s no disability parking space! Not one and it’s my understanding that’s a violation of federal ADA law. The only open space said room 5 parking only but I was in room 9. After texting they granted permission to park in room 5 space and now they claim that’s their disability parking space for state permits! Room 5 apparently has been adapted for wheelchair access but duh that’s not the only disability that requires disability parking accommodations. The owners threatened to charge me double for two rooms after I complained at this violation and after I asked a guest to give me the parking space by my room! I assumed each room had an assigned space close to it but nope you gotta stay in room 5 w wheelchair high tables for that and bars in shower, lower towel bars etc. not my choice. Next they demand you wash dishes before checkout w a posted sign! I have a bad cold and cough but washed my dishes and returned them to cupboards! Next room 9 guest beware of my germs. The bedside shelf is about 3 feet from the bed so to use the light or a glass on that shelf you have to get out of bed! Unless you have really really long arms. After posting my review the hotel owner tried disparaging me personally and my employer in his response....
Read moreFrankly I was disappointed on a couple of levels. First I had to contact the owner the night before we were leaving on our 8 hour drive to get the code for the locked door on the room. The owner acknowledged that she had let it fall through the cracks. No biggie, just strange that it was overlooked. Arrived at room ready to lie down after 8 hour drive and the first thing I noticed was there were no sheets or pillow cases on the bed. I called the owner - she was shocked and sent housekeeping over rather quickly. There is no office there so the housekeeper had to come in on her day off. The whole room was dirty. Bathroom sink yucky, dining table dirty, crumbs on the floor. We had to wait outside for 45 minutes while the room was cleaned. The other owner showed up to help the housekeeper and boasted about how high his standards are with cleaning which was a bit off-putting to me. The housekeeper was apologetic, the owner was not. He blamed the cleaning crew. Obviously our room was forgotten. I don't blame the cleaning crew since they probably assumed the room wasn't booked that day. I only assume this because the owner forgot to send me the room code ahead of time and we were probably not on the schedule when the cleaning crew was there. I halfway expected the owners to offer some sort of compensation, any small gesture would have been...
