My wife and I were looking for an ideal place to help us remember Ketchum. Reviews say this place is awesome... right... To be honest, it wasn't a very good experience as the wait was long all the way around. They didn't seem short staffed on the evening we ate here. A promised 5 minute wait turned into 35 minutes. After we sat it took another 15 minutes to get the waitress to ask us what we wanted to drink. It was then 20 more minutes before we actually got them. Another 40 to get our dinner. Most other tables were getting some decent attention. We asked if we could get some help, but neither of the hostesses, waitresses, or manager were the least bit concerned. I asked if we could get some updates and were completely ignored. So I'm not sure why they let us wait so long. There were no apologies as we left. It was a little speedy and the food was over cooked. I'd say that we'll remember to think twice before coming back. After returning, speaking with a few friends, they shared the same sentiment as us. Just not good experiences all the way around. They made visits at different times. For the restaurant: communication would have completely changed this situation. A little sympathy would have gone a long ways. Prideful attitudes all around is the reason for this review. I...
Read moreCan’t really review the food because I never got any. Never got food because I never got waited on. My wife and I got seated well ahead of a group of four and then a table of eight on either side of us. Our waitress went to the group of four and took their drink orders. Then she blew by us and went to the table of eight and took their drink order. I mentioned the issue to the maitre’d who said he was sorry and that it would be taken care of. It wasn’t. •••EDIT! The manager called us and graciously apologized. All has been made right and we look forward to our next visit! *Edit Update!! We returned for a second try and it couldn’t have been better! My wife ordered the lamb rack (and it was a FULL rack) paired with rice pilaf. The lamb cooked perfectly, the rice pilaf delicious and fluffy. The lamb shank I ordered was locally sourced and was served with seasonal veggies and rustic garlic mashed potatoes made more delicious with the hearty sauce. The meat fell from the bone, totally rendered. Truly an incredible meal! Jeff, thank you for making this happen! And, oh yes, thanks to our server, Natalia!...
Read moreWe were first-timers to the Sawtooth Club, but the host and serving staff made us feel like regulars. The restaurant/bar is both comfortable and refined, offering a rich and cozy atmosphere with absolutely delicious food. We shared the baked brie as an appetizer, which was warmed to perfection and included sides of crostini, sliced apple, and roasted garlic. My husband ordered the Idaho Ruby Red Trout with red pepper butter sauce. He shared a few bites and it was fantastic, completing melting in your mouth. I went with the Momma's Recipe Meatloaf with Mushroom Sauce. It was the most tender and flavorful meatloaf I've ever tasted, so I didn't share as much as I should have with my husband. We didn't order any specialty drinks, but their drink menu was impressive -- offering an extensive wine list, as well as some fun cocktails. The price point is a bit high for families or someone on a very tight budget, but if you're looking for an amazing date night meal, this is THE...
