The Blind Pig — Restaurant in Key West

Price was not surprising considering the location. I ordered the Steak Tacos with no lettuce and no tomatoes. Took a while to be served, but honestly it was worth the wait. The steak was tender and flavorful, with perfect crunchy scallions.. and that Chimichurri aioli! Like a salty, green miracle just dripped across. The tortillas were perfect and crispy, and the cheeses set if off perfectly. I was disappointed that they did not follow my order, and put lettuce and tomatoes on it anyway, but the steak was hot and fresh so I just scraped it off. The seating area was pleasant and peaceful to enjoy my lunch. Definitely will come back, and try the Chicken and Pork. The young men in the truck were nice and professional, however one of them made a comment about the dirty table I was sitting at when he brought me my lunch. I was confused why he just didn't clean it, but I soldiered on because I have hand sanitizer and wipes for times and places like this. I’ve eaten here quite a few times. The food trailer looks clean and well kept, their website; however, needs some updating. Hours claim 10pm and are actually open until 9pm. Their menu boasts a good amount of variety on the website, but in person is almost half of what is advertised. Its menu was a factor in us booking the hotel, only to be let down once we got here. Beyond that, I can say, on a positive note their food does taste good, and are good to take to go as well. I recommend for a quick meal, but nothing to write home about. I was definitely iffy about this location. But I went for it out of a hope and prayer. Let me tell you it was a mind changer . I was surprised and shocked of the taste/quality of the food. I tried the blind pig pulled pork w French Fries -2 thumbs up. It was a nice size burger not small Alot of fries w a drink to wash it down came out to $13.50 Your in Key West Florida people nothing is Cheap here.
