10/2025 Nice buildings and grounds. Very large complex. Sandy bulkhead on the water, small strip of actual "beach" off to the side. The staff is not unfriendly, they're just generally not friendly as you might expect. Being "neutral" will come across as not friendly if you don't smile and act happy to be there. Maybe this is just "the Florida way." The pool cafe has sporadic hours. It seems was staffed by one person only who cooks and services the bar. It closes when they are tired of cooking for the day. We were told 7pm was closing time, but then it closed before 5pm another day. If you're not going to staff regular hours, just be upfront about it and don't tell me you will. The formal restaurant on site has the wrong (old?) menus posted by their official account here on google. Old pricing and no longer serves a full breakfast. Now there is a small selection of croissants and one or two options if quiche. Dinner with an appetizer and one drink each will push you over $100 per person. There is a free shuttle to Old Town every hour to two drop off points. This is handy because there is nothing else within easy walking distance. Those of you who have lived or visited popular tourist areas realize that (renting) your own car is not always viable because hotel parking can be $25/day, and oldtown parking is $6/hour. The elevator for building 2 was out the entire week. This doesn't speak well for their upkeep. Maybe a part was on order. It also forces you to walk the entire length of the building. Overall this is not a great base from which to see Key West since you are so far from the main attractions. It was ok for us, but staying in a walkable place to Old Town would have made it more fun. The hourly shuttle is a big help, but you really have to plan carefully or you'll be waiting for the next on, an hour later. This includes planning your return trips. Uber rates were about $10 to the airport, $13 to oldtown. If you like the looks of the place online, and don't mind a bit of travel time each day, it's a decent option. As a side note, I rented in late October which is probably "shoulder season" because the place was at maybe 20% occupancy. I picked the 1br pool view suite, which is very nice and quite large (Abt 1000sf). However, with so many open units, it would have been a good "marketing" move to upgrade guests to either your best poolside view, or water view even instead of letting your inventory sit idle and not promote itself. I realize that you can't upgrade everyone and last minute guests may arrive, but we had a unit in the most minimal pool view spot, while dozens of better units were unoccupied. Tons of visitors to Key West aren't likely to just "show up" last minute so put your best foot forward - positive reviews are worth their weight in gold.

I will start this off by saying the view is definitely worth it. The rooms look amazing, I highly recommend the 3rd floor , you get an extra deck to walk up to on the roof top, plus the regular deck . Pool view is nice. I was disappointed with my tub as only 1 of the Jets worked. The garbage disposal in the sink does not work. Our couch sheet was dirty , they had extra in the closet. I was advised the elevator was broken after I booked the room. I walked up flights of stairs many times. I did find a working elevator but it made odd noises and did not work each time I clicked the button. Now to move on to the pool. It is open 24 hours which is great. The other guests at the resort are nasty and drink in the pool and leave trash and cigarettes all around and in the pool. A bunch of loud drunk guests with no respect crowd the pool. The staff does clean regularly around the area, but they do not always get all the trash. The hot tub jets do not work. I honestly wonder if non guests come and use the pool because it is easy to access the pool. The beach is nice , there are 2 docks. One of the docks you can use for your personal boat. You can also see fish throughout the night as they have a green light. They have the option for night time kayak tours I did not partake in. The second dock you can fish off of and take beautiful pictures. Then they have the swimming area, I would not recommend swimming at all. The water is full of seaweed and jellyfish are hidden, my husband got stung. So be careful, it's definitely not the best beach to swim at in Florida. You are in a great location, not far from the attractions. I definitely recommend Fort Zachary Taylor, bring water and be ready for an adventure. If you want a relaxing view of the town you can try the conch tour train. I did not find a 24 hour bait store, so I wouldn't count on it. All in all we had a great weekend but the stay was not worth the money spent. Also, breakfast is not included. They have a restaurant on site . McDonald's and Starbucks across the street. Denny's is down the road open 24 hours. Publix and wind Dixie are not far. The island does not have a Walmart. Lots of bars and shopping for souvenirs. There is an interesting wild life mixture, I saw roosters and iguanas roaming the streets. Check out the butterfly conservatory if you get a chance. So many options, we did not get a chance to check everything out.

We booked our stay from Sunday 5/11 to Wednesday 5/14 to celebrate our 13 year anniversary. When we first arrived everything looked really nice. Check in was fast and easy. Finding the room was easy too. We dropped our bags and went to the restaurant for dinner and drinks. A little pricey but it was good. On 5/12, we had a full day planned to explore Key West. When we got back that night, I noticed a few ants (they looked like ghost ants) in the bathroom. I didn’t see like a line of them, but instead they were scattered. I killed them and went to bed. The next morning I made coffee. I went to take a shower and get ready for the day. I left my cup in the sink in the kitchen. When I came back to the sink my cup had ants on it. We had a few booking to attend, so I rinsed them off and left. We went to Dontays Prime for dinner. I brought back my Filet and asparagus ($89). How stupid of me. I got back to the resort and placed my food on the counter. By the time I got out the shower, there were ants all over my steak! We were leaving the next morning so I just rinsed off the ants and threw my lovely steak in the trash. I was pretty aggravated so I went to bed. My husband didn’t want to complain while we were there but I wish I had. I woke up and there was a roach on its bs k in our bedroom. I could hear it moving around the floor. We left Wednesday morning. When we arrived home, my ankles and legs were so itchy. Well it’s because we both had any bites all over our legs. I wasn’t able to upload my video but you can see the pics of the ants/roach. It’s disappointing. This place wasn’t cheap and it had bugs. My food was ruined and we got bit by ants. I wouldnt stay here again.

We flew down from Michigan where it was 17 degrees with ice and snow to get the warm 80-degree weather in Key West. It sounded like a great idea at the time, sun, water and beach for a quick break from Monday to Thursday.

My wife is in a wheelchair, and our room was on the 3rd floor of building #4. The elevator to building #4 was out of service the entire week that we were there. To get to our 3rd floor room, we had to go to building #6 to take that elevator to the third floor and then backtrack all the way back to our room upstairs on building #4. Basically, a loop to double back from the ground to the 3rd floor. All of the hallways are outside of the building in the heat.

The air conditioner in our room did not work. With the heat of 80 degrees and the humidity, our room never got cooler than 78 degrees and it felt cooler outside at night because there was a breeze. Miserable conditions all day and night. On the third night the repairman stated he could not fix the air conditioner, and we were moved to another room. I had to move my wife in the wheelchair and all of our belongings on my own to the new room with no help from the staff. The new room still required the use an elevator, but it had good air conditioning. The new room also had dozens of ants in the bathroom. There were no microwaves in the rooms. There was no housekeeping. No new supplies such as toilet paper, coffee, tea, sugar etc., were ever delivered.

There was a very nice restaurant in the hotel with excellent but very expensive food but without room service. I ordered a steak to carry out, and when I went to pick it up, it came with a flimsy plastic fork and knife. I did convince an employee to slip me a knife against the rules as the employee felt sorry for me on the promise that I would get the knife back to the restaurant when done.

The restaurant closed at 11 p.m. and the bar by the pool closed at 8 p.m. There were no vending machines to get a soda pop or a snack. There were free bottles of water at the front desk but usually, no one was there. In order to get service at the front desk, I would go to the restaurant connected to the lobby and request a restaurant employee to find someone for the front desk. I spent a lot of time in the lobby waiting.

I ordered a pizza from an outside vender, but it was delivered to the front desk of the hotel and not to the room. I was not contacted by the hotel that a pizza had arrived. By the time I went looking for the pizza delivery driver and inquired on my own at the front desk [more waiting] about a missing pizza, it was cold by the time received it. Again, no microwave.

The beach was not convenient at all. There was no view from the pool. No compensation or courtesy was offered by the hotel.

To sum up, heat and humidity in the room, ants, difficulty obtaining food and drink, no convenient elevator, no microwave, cold pizza and walking in the heat pushing a wheelchair. It was like, "so Mrs. Lincoln, besides that, how did you like the play?" My favorite part of the trip was getting to the airport to leave. We did have a great service from DB Taxi to...

Checked in for a three night stay for our annual Key West trip . Super excited since the condos seemed more spacious with suites available vs other hotels offered in Key West

Pros - Luxurious suites, cleaned well, basic amenities included such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash. You must ask for laundry detergent, dishwashing soap, extra towels, etc. Full-size kitchen and dining, Spacious living room with sofa bed, 2.5 bathrooms , Easy access upon entering Key West with many local stores and restaurants, first floor rooms have direct access to the pool.

Cons- Front desk never answers the phone. I know someone is there because we just checked in even when booking we had to book through a third-party website and front desk was not available to answer questions.

There is NO HOT WATER , I repeat the water does not get hot AT ALL! One toddler a teenager and 2 adults had to take cold showers. For premium prices of 600+ per day I should be able to have hot water. I am in real estate and this makes the room uninhabitable any facility that does not provide heat or hot water you may cancel the reservation and ask for a refund. Being as we have excursions booked and not wanting to go through the hassle of finding a comparable stay, I will just have to boil water and use the tub which is ridiculous in this day and age. I left two messages to the receptionist after multiples calls , maintenance finally showed , but did not solve the situation. I have never stayed at any hotel or a condo who runs on a TANK Water Heater. even order hotels, and especially this newer condo should have invested in tankless water heaters . I usually love hotel showers since there’s endless hot water. Maintenance says there is ONE 80 gallon water heater shared amongst two unit units so one unit could have six people and another four people . how on earth is an 80 gallon water heater sufficient ?? And that we needed to wait a full 45 minutes for the water to heat up again. We waited for two hours still no hot water. I don’t know about other people, but cold showers is not a thing for me. I am not into super fitness taking ice cold showers to strengthen my immune system system. No thanks and I’ll probably get a cold before leaving here.

So despite the luxurious features and convenient location, not having hot water is a no go for me. I will not be staying again and would advise anyone to read other reviews about not having hot water before...
