Stayed here a while back with my husband and it's very charming and centrally located. However, there were a few things I wasn't crazy about. The breakfast was very light and runs a bit on the late side. Also, they were beyond sticklers about not letting you check in even a minute early, and had us sit outside on the porch to wait for the stroke of Check In, saying that our room "wasn't ready yet". Since we were staying in the Casa Cabana, we could clearly see that the room must've been done because no one went in or out to finish things up while we were waiting. It seemed petty and unwelcoming.
Speaking of the Casa Cabana, the room itself is very comfortable and attractive, but because it's literally on the pool deck (we actually thought it was a storage shed while we were sitting there waiting to be checked in) I felt like we didn't have very much privacy in it. There are lounge chairs backing right up to it, so there can be other guests hanging out and talking right outside your window, oblivious to the fact that it's a room people are staying in (and not, indeed, a storage shed). More than once we were met with surprised looks from people when we emerged and were asked if that was an actual room.
So while I wouldn't cross this off my list forever, I'd absolutely pick a different room next time, go out for breakfast, and try to time our arrival so that we're not even a...
Read moreWe stayed in the Cabana Room by the pool and enjoyed every part if our stay. The room was clean and the A/C worked great. Just as the description states, the Cabana Room is a small but efficient room. We will definitely stay again. I've read some of the comments saying that the room can be noisy being close to the pool. We didn't have any issues, all guests were respectful and quiet. The room can still catch some noises from outside, but if you have any issues contact management. We kept the "do not disturb sign on the door" to help people realize that there's people sleeping in there and it worked. All guests we talked to had previously stayed in the room, so they had peaceful vibes when hanging around the pool. The breakfast was amazing every morning and all the staff was delightful. The pool was nice to dip into after a hot day on the island. The location is awesome to walk to both sides of the island. My only recomendation is access to a microwave for the room after 6pm. I understand that it won't fit in the room, but one located near the water machine inside would be nice so we could warm up food...

We stayed at The Conch House in March to celebrate my birthday, and it was exactly what I was hoping for—peaceful, charming, and just the right touch of special.
The property is absolutely beautiful and has such a calm, quiet vibe. It felt like a little hidden gem tucked away in the middle of everything, but without the noise or crowds. You can really tell it’s lovingly cared for. Every corner had a relaxed, tropical feel and the whole place was spotless.
The staff were fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find that kind of genuine hospitality these days.
One of the best parts was the location. It’s an easy walk to Duval Street, so we got to enjoy all the fun of the shops, bars, and restaurants without needing to drive or deal with parking. Then we could come back to our quiet little oasis at the end of the day.
It was the perfect spot for a low-key birthday getaway, and I’d absolutely come back again.
