Disappointing Dining Experience - Terrible Wait service from a server named Aaron.
We booked a reservation 2 weeks in advance for our group of 34. The evening of our booking they seated us outside and the weather and the atmosphere was really pleasant. They seemed to be a little disorganized on the food service but the thing that ruined our night was terrible waiter service at 2 of our tables of 10. The server's name we were told was Aaron. Aaron was impatient, and testy throughout the evening and clearly did not have an attitude conducive to serving tables at what is supposed to be a nice restaurant. The service was so poor in fact none of our guests could decipher what portion of the bill was theirs and Aaron refused to assist and told both tables to simply split the tickets evenly. Many of our guests did not know each other, some had several appetizers, and others bottles of wine, while others ate lightly and had no drinks. There were items added to the menu twice, being double charged all of which added to confusion and frustration of our party. When I asked him privately to assist our tables so that we could leave, he told me to work it out. When I asked to see the manager he indicated that there was no manager on duty and got very angry. As this escalated, he told me that he simply didn't care and told me that he had all night and eventually the tables will work it out, so "good luck" were his words. I challenged him as to why he was even working there or asked him if he was simply having a bad day. That set off a nerve and he went off on a rant and called me an as**e and continued to repeat it over 10 times. I spoke to the hostess who apologized for him. She gave me his name reluctantly and he simply stood smugly and refused to help our tables. 20 minutes later after one of our other tables that had another nice server left as they decided they simply couldn't wait any longer, our party finally figured out their bill. What started out with a pleasant atmosphere and nice dining experience ended terribly because of a smug bad attitude server who could care less. ( He wasn't worried about the tip as each table was a table of 8 or 10 and had gratuities already added. ) I asked the hostess to pass on my dissatisfaction to the owner, Stuart Kemp.. I was thinking someone would surely call however I never heard from them. I guess I will never know if my message was received by him.

Read moreFor our 10th anniversary this evening I took Bobbie out to 915 on Duval Street of course even the night after Valentine's Day we couldn't get a seat downstairs w/o A reservation.
so we went upstairs where they said we could wait for a seat the cocktails were good the staff was nice so we ordered some apps (very small - very expensive apps) Bobbie ordered a Salad.... Later a rather small arugula salad came out with some grated (instead of shaved) pecorino on the top. Later -a small half of cup of pink shrimp corn chowder came out it was tasty but had an odd (very odd) aftertaste. (Maybe old shrimp go to die in the chowder)
then for my meal. I ordered the korambuto? pork chops.
After a while one small pork chop came out with a little bit of mashed potatoes and a few asparagus, half filling the plate. And an attempt at a wine reduction.
(I would suggest smaller plates... and utensils) they never brought me a steak Knife, so I used the butter knife to cut the very tough pork chop when then I started realizing, that it was raw. It was also very Dark, so to hide the small portions, I'm ok with that, if it is exceptionally good, or at least unique. But undercooked pork or chicken is not on my usual diet menu. But they must have had lights in the kitchen.
-they were very busy, so we decided not to say anything and just take the pork chop back home, where I could finish cooking it properly, and use a real knife to cut it.
-needless to say, the company was fantastic, but the restaurant 915 on Duval Street in Key West was way far below par, sorry guys.
I don't usually write a bad restaurant review. Jus' the Facts.
I usually just don't go back...

Read moreGreat place, the food was really good. I did not like the ceviche and returned it. I have had really good ceviche in many places. I was expecting this to be really good for the quality of the place but very disappointed. The Stich in Thyme Drink was very strong and I did not get to enjoy it. The Calamari was great.
